Personally, I'm opposed to an evolution for Farfetch'D and Dunsparce. Maybe it's just me but, it seems as though they wouldn't be quite as cool if they could evolve. =/

I want to see a Life Orb that halves Attack but boosts defense/special defense (Blissey would break this, lol)

A Life Orb that halves Special Attack but boosts defense/special defense (Skarm, Forretress, and Hippowdon would break this lol)

A Life Orb that halves Speed but boosts defense / special defense (Bronzong/Dusknoir would break this, triple lol)

An item that boosts speed but halves attack/defense/sp attack/sp defense/10% recoil

These items would also make Trick /Switcheroo / Knock Off more popular.

Their "coolness factor" is off the charts. Both are usable Pokemon, but only under certain conditions, which is why everyone wants evos. If Dunsparce evolved, I would be neutral on it, if Farfetch'd, I'd really rather not see an evo, but wouldn't die if it happened. But there are others that really don't need to evolve but people want to see it. Like Pinsir, Volbeat, Illumise, Minun, Plusle, Pachirisu, etc.....

I found this picture on irc when I was luring there. I do not know if this is fanmade or real, but it looks pretty damn nice.
What was it a picture of?

I think items that boosted defenses might be a nice idea.

If they were drawbackless, how much percentage boost do you think it would need to be reasonably balanced compared to Leftovers (so that competitive won't just see all one or the other), for boosting one defense and for boosting both?

Also something like Torment Shield and Torment Bracelet would be cool - boost Def/SpDef respectively by 50%, but prevent use of the same move twice in a row. A counterpart to the Choice items basically. I don't think all stallish Pokemon would want them. Instant recoverers probably wouldn't, but Wish Protectors and maybe RestTalkers might appreciate them. You could potentially see it on offensive stat-up Pokemon too.

The silouhette on the left looks really, really cool, especially if its head is facing right and it has a sort of Celebi thing going on. If it's not the grass one, this may be the first time I pick the fire or water starter. The other two look stupid though...meh it depends on their final evos anyway

I'm hoping it's a beak. I'd really like it if gamefreak continued with it's (Bird) type starters (Torchic, Piplup).

A Grass bird? That's interesting. So far all 4 Grass starters have been reptiles.

I can imagine a Peacock quite easily, with it's tail feathers being a blooming bunch of flowers(or at least a start of a bloom). We really don't really have grass starters that embody a bouquet of flowers. (Venu and Megan's solo flower don't count).

I would love to see a girafarig and spiritomb evolution. I always loved girafarig in the 2nd generation, but I would love to actually use him in battles. Plus a spiritomb evolution would just look awesome!

Edit: Where did you get those pictures from? Those don't look like the silouettes to me.

lol don't trust gamefaqs. that centipede thing isn't even one of the silhouettes...

Sorry if this has already been debunked, but how do we know that's not legit? It looks convincing to me, and perhaps what we're looking at are later evolutionary stages.

Again, please prove that they're fake. I hate to fall for a hoax.

edit: nevermind, someone sent me a link that suggests it's a deliberate fake. Disregard this post.

i would facepalm over the webs if i could, either way those real or not(i know they are fake) they still look ugly and gay, it dont got the same aura that the true starters got, get what i mean?

"Don't got the same aura"? We haven't seen the true starters yet, and if these were evolved forms, they might look quite different.

But I see that they're fake now, so it's irrelevant.

i am talking about the older starters, every time we see a starter and compare to another random pokemon it just dont look the same, its not the same thing. the same starter aura. its a weird thing but....its how i call, the starters aura.

An interesting hypothetical interpretation of the Grass starter as a bird:

The visualization of that assumed "head" actually being a large leaf is really possible imo...
