Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Is it a local ditto, or a foreign ditto? That messes with it, if I recall correctly.
Oh, the Dragonite is traded. I don't think it's foreign, though. I'll give International Eggs a try.

Edit: Looks like problem solved, the Careful Dratini that I received from the second attempt at RNGing exactly matches what I would've gotten with International Eggs. Thanks for the tip.

I don't understand (sorry), could you please provide an example? :toast:

For seed 802001F, the first Pokemon's nature is governed by the 193rd call of the IRNG. For this seed, the PID there is [2104E46A], or 553968746. You take the PID mod 24 (divide by 24, take the remainder) to find the nature. Here 553968746 mod 24 is 2, which corresponds to Brave (see here).

Connection errors stop the process whenever they happen, so a failed connection adds an uncertain number of IRNG calls to the queue - the uncertain part (based on the timing of said error) means any attempt to line up a nature is likely to fail with a connection error.

ahh, now I understand, so the first pokémons nature is the 193rd IRNG call, am I right/correct?

The nature is derived from the 193rd call in the process described in my previous post - you DO NOT take the nature listed next to 193. You are right that 193 is where you want to look.

Hello, Iv always had trouble with RNG. On Heart Gold Im refusing to catch any legendaries just because I dont want to pass an opportunity to have a flawless ho oh. suicune, etc. I dont know how to catch wild or breed RNG pokemon. Can anybody suggest an easy to follow guide with basic terms?IVe watched bearfans videos and read the smogon guide and I still have trouble. I NEED HELP!!!!!! lol. Please help. Thank you in advance.

Since i cant use sweet scent in weather how can i attract pokemon ?:S(for example if i have a frame of 2 how can i make sure that i will encounter a pokemon on my 2nd turn/step?)

I have a question about breeding for shiny nidorans.

Strangely, nidorans go against the normal breeding guidelines. I'll explain:

A while back when I first started breeding for a non-shiny Nidoran(F) I chose an egg spread that had a gender ratio that was completely Female(F/F/F/F) and I got a Nidoran(M)! I 've done this several times to make sure that I was hitting the egg spread correctly and I was. I would get the nature, but not the gender I wanted. I experimented a bit with the gender ratios, until I chose one that was F/M/M/F. I finally got Nidoran(F).

When I plan to breed for my Shiny Nidorans. I want them to have an egg move. Under what gender condition should they be under as to ensure that I get the gender I want hopefully not run into a problem like I did before?

PokeRadar, and there's a relevant post in the first page.Getting pokes on low frames with this method is nearly impossible though.

Couple of questions: WHAT METHOD IS THE ARCEUS EVENT?!

and:

Do abilities like Air Lock and Could Nine also cancel effects on the RNG when pertaining to weather? Thought it was an interesting concept.

Quick question.... If I've been generating even delays and the times I just looked up for abusing a Suicune only give me the option of odd delays, If I put a GBA cartridge in my DS will it allow me to hit the odd delays then? normally I'm hitting between 628-632, and a 627 would be optimal.

EDIT: I actually just found a better spread with even delays, but for future reference it'd still be helpful to know if this works. Thanks :)

Couple of questions: WHAT METHOD IS THE ARCEUS EVENT?! if your talking about the lv 100 arceus one you can use a method 1 spread for it and on RNG reporter select the Wondercard IVs method

and:

Thought it was an interesting concept. No because those abilities do not apply to the overworld so any weather effects on the RNG outside of battle will still happen even if you have pokemon with those abilities

I accidentally still had my diamond ID and SID when I was doing this for Plat the Giratina wasn't shiny but I did hit that target time delay and frame -.- FML
Time to find a new seed with the correct IDs

During that event to get either Palkia Giratina or Dialga where should I save?

Also, if I'm using the time finder for DPPt capture method J, and theres a seed with 2 of the same spreads only a few frames apart which one do I use.

For example, seed 060B0284 at frame 520, 522 and 524 all have the same shiny spread for me 28/31/31/x/31/30

It literally doesn't matter which one you use, if they're all the same. Just pick one and go.
