How to clone Pokemon in Emerald version

I'll clone anything if I think it'll help. Not leveling by Rare Candies is understandable, but stupid in the end. You gain nothing by leveling up through base fights, and it's a lot slower. But the sense of satisfaction is good.

Its not worth it to train the old fashion way anymore imo (breed/reset, ev train, battle E4 100 times) because as soon as D/P come out those Pokemon will lose even more value. I'm almost done "preperations" for D/P's release (beaten colo up till Lady Venus, XD till Greevil, entered warp codes, cloned RCs, etc) so I'll be ready to get the advance pokes I need, and cloning is a major aid to that process.

This is a bit irrelevant but...

I'm starting all three of my games over, and I'm gonna use XD as my storage game. But after I released all the pokemon I didn'y care about, I realized that you have to have pokemon to trade to the GBA games. And I already released a box and a half of pokemon to make room for the GBA pokes (slaps self in face)>_<. So I've started ctching wild pokeys in XD but it took all day just to catch 12 of them!!! So what I'm asking is are there any other ways to get pokemon from my carts to XD? Oh, and I do intend to clone rare candies, then clone my best pokemon for wi-fi. (there, I mentioned cloning)

Start 2 over and trade the keepers to the other, later when you ar eable to restart the 3rd one after trading the keepers to the other 2 games

I recently found a bad effekt of cloning, have you noticed that all current records is set to 0 after you clone in Battle frontier, I might be wrong because I´ve made some pokés disappear (forgot to save in the first 2 tries), it might not be fun when you have set a new record and want it to become better...

Well, I cloned some items and people still call me about my frontier wins, but I haven't cloned any pokemon or checked the actual records. But most liikely I t was because you did it wrong. But you may want to ask someone who knows what they're doing. P:

No, what I meant is the Shadow Monitor says where is the pokemon's current Location. So, in the Monitor, it will show that the pokemon is either gone or is in somewhere, and a Lugia in Box 1 will make the monitor's tracker locate Box 1

Any time a Pokemon is traded away from XD, it is forever listed as, "Gone".

No. I traded Lugia back, placed it in the PC or did something with it for a while. Its location status returned

Might not fit in this thread but I tested to evolve nincada in a EGG (pomeg glitch) and in fact I got a second egg (nice to now, you can make them hatch in different citys and they still have the same IV´s),ninjask were first to hatch..

Yeah I wouldn't use it if you are even the slightest bit afraid of getting your game corrupted. Because chances are it will just like it eventually does with game shark codes.

See I really want to try this cloning but Im afraid that something negative might happen which would definitely not be a good thing to happen

As has been stated, as long as you don't screw up, you'll be fine. I am. Although there is a rumor that cloning will delete any records in the Record Center.

Yes as earlier in this thread I posted that when I did wrong the first 2 times all current records were set to 0, but the best ones were still the same(the ones in the recordcorner), it might be best to wait if you have some extreemely high records (ore ones that´s is boring and you don´t want to restart on)

Hmm, mechanically it sounds fair, but I have to question, is it legitimate? I mean, really. I am asking because between Josh and I we have 2 legit Mew, 3 legit Celebi, and 1 legit Deoxys, and 2 legit shiny Zigzagoon(I actually don't know if he has shinies; those are just mine). One of the Celebi is pretty good too(modest, 30/31 SA IV). I want that Deoxys, and I would like to have surpluses on the other event Pokemon so I can send some forward to DP while not losing anything on RS. I don't think I'd ever multiply trained Pokemon as I prefer those remaining unique legitimacy aside(call me sentimental if you will).

Has anyone traded clones forward to DP? I was wondering if anyone has observed how they operate and if the WiFi accepts them as valid. If they are truly the same down to the last bit, there is no reason why it wouldn't. Also, if you send two the same clone to DP, does it react somehow? Basically, are cloned Pokemon anything but 100% normal? I have a legit 386 Pokedex so I don't want to do illegit stuff, but I would really enjoy the benefits of cloning event Pokemon at the very least. It's just too bad you can't clone the sub tutor...

From how the clone method works one would suspect that the clones are bit for bit identical, though i don't think anyone has been able to prove anything yet.

Personally, I'm only gonna use it for cloning items and possibly event pokemon. I do hope they turn out to be fully legit for wifi so that I'll be able to get the event pokemon I otherwise would have no chance of getting.

To all the people who don't want to mess up their game, this is nothing like the duping glitch in crystal, if you do this PROPERLY, it is guaranteed to be safe.

And yes the pokemon are legit, all this trick is doing is saving the same pokemon in two different places at the same time. And pokemon don't have ID numbers or anything, so I don't see how it could cause any problems
