That's why we have the Pokéwalker and Pokéthlon.

...

Oh Christ they better put the Pokéthlon in these games, if I ever see a Super Contest again, I'm going to kill something.

I didn't mean that as a literal thing. It's just a comparison...well...Pokeathlons are so fun! I actually enjoy these mini-games. I don't know anyone who even like contests or kind of like them. I'd want contests to be gone for good but they're a huge part of the show and how would Feebas evolve if it doesn't get "beautiful?"

I was kidding on the Pokéathlon part ~__~

And I'm sure people have ranted a lot about it before on this forum, so I'll just say I liked Contests, but Super Contests made everything boring. They'll probably stay in B/W, or be replaced by another mini-game which works with the five Conditions (so Feebas will still evolve without resorting to obscure ways like Daisy massages). I just don't want them to stay while Pokéathlon never comes back again.

I watched the demo and it does not move slow at all.

Personally, I love the animations of the Pokemon. When this comes out, I will definitely start Wifi battling again.

It seems that the sprites are 3D too.

I just realized that there wasn't a single Pokemon following the trainer in that footage. Did they remove the best feature of HGSS?!

Also in regards to the starter Pokemon: I know I'll go with Fire like I always do, but damn that grass starter really makes me pissed that we only get to choose one. The only way I'll choose it is if it has a cooler final stage than the fire pig (which will likely evolve into some large fire boar that will suck due to having higher attack, and no physical fire move besides Flare Blitz to take advantage of. Although hopefully it will get part Ground typing and Earthquake).

They also need to keep the customizable Safari Zone.

I wonder if they'll keep the Pokewalker as a feature. It was a pretty nice feature, and I'd hate to see it go.

I hope so too, but I don't know how that would work out. would they make a new one, or would it be possible to update the Pokewalker to include new Pokemon (like a firmware update)?

Feebass can evolve by getting massages from Blue's sister in Pallet town in HG/SS. it just doesn't show the stats; after 8(?) of them it can evolve.

I agree with everyone else; the Pokethlon is amazing (at least compared to contests. even in general they are pretty good). they better stay, or else I'll be very disappointed. at the very least, don't bring contests back.

I sugested some sort of park where you can actually interact and play games with your Pokemon, which I think could be cool if they want to make "Pokemon are companions and not just fighting machines" a bigger feature like in HG/SS. let Pokemon on your team interact with each other, and maybe give them some personality and BAM! you and your team are BFFs.

The Pokeathlon is the best mini-game to ever come to Pokemon, including all those Game Corner and Safari Zone stuff that I don't understand why some people like them. Every Pokeathlon event is fun, except the Pennant Capture.

...and I didn't know you can evolve Feebas that way in HGSS.

There are so many Pokemon nowadays that they need ways for people to get them in the game. Stuffing them throughout the routes is too much. The Pokewalker has to stay for that matter.

...And that's the main reason I'm sure they'll keep the customizable Safari Zone in B/W. I don't remember the right number right now but, considering all pokémon in a single evolutionary line (that is, if you can catch an Eevee, then that means 8 pokémon), you can catch ~214 pokémon in HGSS's Safari.

If we also have Hoenn/Sinnoh Sound and Swarms, I don't even think Pokéwalker would be a necessity.

Things from HGSS that i really want to be in W&B

-Same bottom screen, that's the best touch feature they have ever made, it just makes things so fast.

-Pokewalker, pretty nice toy. Btw a curious fact is that the music when you're synchronizing the DS with the pokewalker, the music that sounds is the same as the GB Printer (error), that means GF actually made those games thinking about older players.

-Pokeathlon. Or anything in place of contest, i'm tired of contest.

-Pokemon following you. This is so sweet, i wish you could, but in the footage you can't see any pokemon following you.

-GB Sounds. At least i hope if there is a radio again, you can listen to old tracks from previous games...

-Bags. The bag was just great, and i hope you can grow berries in the bag too.

i wish there was a ability or item that let you check the pokemon nature in the wild before catching and/or killing, it would make my life a lot more easy.

GF did great with the DPPt-->HGSS transition. Everything i wanted to improve in DPPt and more was introduced in HGSS. So im not really hoping for anything new. Battle speed is excellent and smooth.

If anything i want the battle tower to be more catered to competitive players. Increase the AI just enough to make it not the easiest thing in the world....

I hope the ROM gets leaked so i dont have to wait till next year to play it >______< or ill just get my friend to make a trip down there to get it for me. I havent been this hyped for a pokemon game since...G/S/C

I don't see this happening because of Synchronize. Honestly, a 50% chance is good enough. Pokemon is supposed to have some luck involved to balance things.

that is why i hate pokemon, it require luck, i got horrible luck, in fact my luck is so bad that it took 20 eggs to get a adamant scyther with the mother being adamant and holding everstone, and that is normal to tell the true.

edit:bboyabey, its nature, not ability.

Hmm, well, I was going to go down this list, giving my opinions one by one, until I realized I completely agree with all of them! Especially the GB Player (YESSSS) and the Berry Pots (I don't know how I ever grew berries without them!)

Now all we need is a portable incubator/daycare for mobile breeding. Since I refuse to RNG abuse and hand-breed all my pokes, this would be a huge plus for me.

Saturday: Reshiram & Zekrom's Type Confirmed

29-05-2010- 08:32 BST / 03:32 EDT by Serebii

In The Games Department
Black & White Legends
Going slightly under the radar, the Daisuki Club site has confirmed that the two new Pokémon; Reshiram & Zekrom, revealed yesterday, are part Dragon-type. It is unknown if they are pure Dragon or if they have a secondary type. In addition to this, the Daisuki Club also confirmed that the two game versions are going to have further differences outside of the exclusive Pokémon we have come to expect. To what extent, we don't yet know. Click the picture to go to our New Pokémon Page

Just to clear up the issue on whether they are confirmed part dragon or not, It seems legit.

That was posted four days ago, you think we haven't seen and discussed it yet?

I just can't see Zekrom being electric, unless that turbine has something to do with it. Dragon/Electric does hit the entire Ubers metagame for neutral coverage. It think it hits every single Pokemon neutral, bar Magnezone and Steelix.

If Zekrom is a technological Pokemon, maybe he gets Download or Adaptability. I would love to see them both with new abilities though. Dragon/Steel makes for sense for a technological Pokemon though.
Hmm, Zekrom could power his turbine with electricity while Reshiram burns his with biofuel.

Dang more retarded legendaries that don't look like pokemon. I miss the legendaries that looked more animal like. =[ Dialga and palkia were terrible looking and these are just carrying the stupid baton foward.

Reshiram looks more animal-like than Mewtwo, hell even Dialga (horse) does:

Technically, humanoids are animals :p

I think he meant by the simple but clever designs of the earlier legendaries. I mean, they weren't all that detailed, but they were still cool and had that appeal. Today's legendaries just either look too much like Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh or are overkilled with too much detail.

I've never used the Pokewalker, but I think it is important for the casual players, so I agree with you.

Really? On Winner's Path you can get a Boomlax (otherwise you'd need to use the move tutor in XD) and the chance to pick up Choice Scarf, Specs, and Band without having to pay the absurd rate of 48BP at the Frontier. Granted, it takes 8,000 steps to even have a shot at getting the Scarf, but it's basically free stuff and Pokemon, and it encourages me to walk around more to rack up steps.

I know! That's awesome! I don't have to hold B all the time...and the two key item slots. Now I can water my berries AND ride my bike without needing to go into my bag! ...and speaking of bags, they you can push the left and right arrows so you don't have to scroll through every single item! This sounds like America. Things get so simple that the people end up obese.

You do know that you can just face the berry and press A to water them, right, wihtout having to go into the menu? In other news, I thought the HGSS menus were awful. It's a pain to move items around and it's a lot faster for me to scroll down a list of items in DPP than it is in HGSS.

To be honest Mewtwo never looked animal like, well, probably with his RB sprite he looked sort of "animal". Yet, he is supposed to be an abhorrence so that's why he is a deformed Mew...

I personally think Zekrom beats the hell out of Mewtwo when it comes to design/coloration. I really don't understand why simplistic = good. I think simple Pokemon like Dragonite or Charizard look very cool, but there are also more detailed Pokemon like Torterra and Zekrom that are very cool too. I don't see why design philosophies must get in the way of the simple "that Pokemon looks sweet!" regardless of how detailed it is or not.

That's true and I'll probably use it just for Boomlax, however I haven't even picked it up yet.

Man, I really hate it when people stay stuff like this. It can't not look like a Pokémon because it is a Pokémon. Sugimori has gotten better at drawing in the last decade, and the series' art direction is taking new turns. The art style evolves just like Pokémon do. (Yes it's cheesy, I know.)

But to each his own, I guess. I honestly don't understand how people say that the generation that contains Pokémon like Diglett/Dugtrio, Magnemite/Magneton, Voltorb, Grimer, etc. is the most clever and original...
