You have to trade, but you can trade for something worthless, like a random Bidoof, and then release it on the other game.
I have a large stock of Abras resulting from various RNGing experiments, so I normally use those for expendible trades.
Will updated entries for new event moves be added to the Strategy Pokedex for Entei, Suicune, and Raikou in the near future?
Flash is not needed.
@Ferarri: Most likely not, as the natures will be fixed.
This question may be premature, but I haven't found anything similar to it using the search function.
Once the fifth generation is released in Japan, will the Smogon community immediately start working on adding the new Pokemon to the server on Shoddy Battle? If so, will they upload the new Pokemon, abilities, and items before their English names are confirmed? I have no idea how long this process would take. I'd imagine some of you older members could recall what happened during the last transition between generations.

Is Focus Sash a single-use item? I had a Poke hold it, then after the battle, Focus Sash was gone.

Chances are no because the current version of Shoddy is ONLY for 4th Gen and bearzly will have to develop the next version for it.
I just RNG'd a Modest flawless Jirachi (31 in each stat) with Draco Meteor.
Is Modest still a useful nature for Jirachi? Should I focus on getting + defense or + speed natures instead?
I was thinking of trying out a Specs Jirachi to see how it would work in Ubers. Trick would be nice for Blissey, Lugia and Ho-oh, Specs Draco Meteor is a OHKO on Palkia and some Giratina, Doom Desire is a gimmick but so is Specs and it still will hit neutral on anything, and Grass Knot for Kyogre and Groudon because I figure why not? Wish might help the team, but only if I am willing to get Wobbuffet-ed if my Specs are still on.

Smeargle is best because it can learn any move. But Breloom is good as well because it learns False Swipe and Spore, the only 100% accuracy sleeping move. Parasect learns both as well but is realy fragile and has like an 8x weakness to fire with Dry skin and a bunch of other weaknesses. Make sure Breloom knows Poison Heal as its ability though because if its ability is effect spore there is a chance your pokemon can get paralyzed or poisoned when attacking with a direct attack.
The current version of Shoddy Battle itself is capable of adding new Pokemon, moves,and I'd assume items and abilities as well. The CAP server itself is proof enough of that. More information on how the transition will work out is what I'm looking for here.

Shoddy Battle 1 is capable of being updated like that, yes, but such major changes to it have stopped since Shoddy Battle 2 is being worked on now. So, in other words, once the 5th gen is released, all of that new stuff will be added to Shoddy Battle 2, but Shoddy Battle 1 isn't being supported anymore, so it won't be updated for Gen 5.
I already read that page. I asked because confusion and leech seed are volatile statuses, and Taunt and Torment are also volatile statuses. I wanted to know exactly which ones were reflected and which ones weren't because the page doesn't specify Taunt or Torment.
Basically, which of the volatile statuses and their respective moves (i.e. Confuse Ray/Supersonic/etc for Confusion) get reflected by Magic Coat?

I have a Graveler in SoulSilver which I"m desperate to evolve. Only problem is, I don"t know any one who I can trade with. Is it possible for me to put the Graveler up on the Global Wifi Trade Station, trade it to my Platinum cartridge over the same Internet connection and IP address, then trade it back?
