What is this I don't even...
I think it's either going to be a Specially base Floatzel (high speed, above average SpAtk, Swift Swim) or they're actually going to attempt to make it useful and give it the same Speed and boost its SpAtk and Defenses to a decent level. If it does end up with an ability like Reshiram and Zekrom's and those raise stats like we think they do, the Luvdisc evo's will raise its already high speed when it gets hit with a Water attack.
Edit: I'm thinking it will stay pure Water.

Whoa @ Potential Luvdisc evo. And by potential, I mean 99% positive it is an evo... Or else Nintendo really loves to make pink heart-shaped Fish pokemon >_>
I hope it's pretty hefty (Ocean Sunfish are huge) and bulky, with good offensive stats (Like decent/average) and same speed as Luvdisc or boost it to 95. It'd be funny if it got into OU, considering Luvdisc is the bottom of NU.

Luvdisc has 97 base speed, but that's just me nitpicking. based on it's (assumed) large size, I wouldn't be surprised if it's speed dropped to something like 80 or 75 (Swift swim would make up for the loss anyways). Larger HP and defence I think are a given, too.
Luvdisc has 43/30/55/40/65/97. it's stats lean towards defence more then offence. it can easily evolve once and get a reasonable boost in it's defencive abilities (which I think is very likely based on it's appearance), but I could also see an increase in Special Attack if it's base speed lowers too. depending on how much more BST it gets (and if it gets a good movepool), it might just become useful.

I would LOVE a Luvdisc evo. She is a gorgeously unoriginal Pokemon and has horrid base stats. The possible Luvdisc evo shown looks pretty good :D
oops, I thought Luvdisc had 93 speed. but yeah, I hope they give it another useful ability too. though a bulky swift swimmer wouldn't be bad.
I'd rather a strong Swift Swimmer than a bulky one, but I would be happy with a Luvdisc evo that could do something whatever it does.
Doubt it, lots of people go through 2ch looking for rumors. It probably would have been brought up before somewhere if so.
Entirely agreed, bad stats it wouldn't be bad at all if it got an evolution it would fit it best, plus it isn't though enough needs to look more badass.
Trick Room Gym, that is awesome
A Trick Room gym would be AMAZING... OMFG.... That would be an awesome change of pace. The 16th Gym in HGSS was kind of a Trick Room Gym, but we have yet to have a gym that doesn't focus on a particular type. Or Elite 4 member, for that matter (not including the champions)
This is slightly unrealistic and because I'm bored I would to say that if GF were to boost all of Luvdisc's stat except speed by 40 point, it evolution's stats would look like this: 83/70/95/80/105/97. Now if they subtract 15 points from Atk, place them onto SpA and subtract 17 points from Spd to place into HP the end result would be this: 100/65/95/95/105/80. It wouldn't be too bad of a boost.
Understandable as I don't think GF would be that nice enough to give the Luvdisc evo that big of a boost but it's still interesting to see.
Epic. But GF aren't that nice...those are pretty funky stats but I don't think they are nice enough.
What I had in mind was a 210 (430 to 540) BST boost: 103/60/95/80/105/97. Exaggerated? Maybe. But we had Sunkern -> Sunflora (+245), Kirlia -> Gardevoir (240), and some other random sucky pokémon I won't bother to check now. It's not *impossible*, neither "highly improbable", just... "kinda unlikely". But who expected a Luvdisc evo to begin with? Heh.
And I'd like to point out even Luvdisc officially had an evolution before Farfetch'd.

It's not officially a Luvdisc evo, though it probably is.
Well, it's not like Farfetch'd will get on the last train to Isshu Dex before Mamanbo is officially revealed as Luvdisc's evo anyway.
