Is it okay to skip soft-resetting right when the first timer of Pikatimer ends and start from the DS main menu instead? (Assuming that I've calibrated accordingly to each specific method.)

During calibration for plat, I keep finding that for seconds I hitting 20-22, is this normal? I was just wondering since the avg. I've seen is 15

Trying to find my SID, but my calculator cant convert to binary. Code thing is EC578EED. If anyone could help and then PM me the SID, they would be my hero.

Bats: Average is 15-17 I'd say, but it doesn't matter. What does matter if you're not using pikatimer, is that seconds are the same. ie all 20, all 21, or all 22. Don't get a range - just mash a as fast as you can and that shouldn't happen ^^

It's weird though cause I SR when my external clock reaches 0 (my DS is synched to the same time down to the second, might be off by maybe half a second or so) and I enter game when it reaches 15 yet RNG tells me 21 (most of the time) any reason for this?

I adjusted the delays and second +- according to what you suggested, and I even check the odd/even box. I've a Megaman Battle Network game in slot 2 if it matters. And after those adjustments, I am unable to get any match elm calls at all as oppose to a few with my previous settings. Really lost here...

sorry, i meant you needed a 3rd gen pokemon game. it also depends on whether you are aiming for an even or odd delay. since your delay is 639 then leave out a cartridge. if its an even delay then you insert the game. if you adjusted it right you should get a long list of delays with the same seconds. if you don't get a match with elm calls, then it means you're way off. if you want to hit your delay you have to at least get the seconds value right.

yes, its alright if you do it from the menu, its actually better than soft resetting since there's less buttons to press

Someone please reply to this as it is giving me endless headaches

I am RNG abusing for a Bold HP Grass 70 Zapdos. I found my seed, and have verified with 9 Elm calls, so i am on frame 10. However, when I change the method to "method K", the IV spread I wanted (31/14/31/30/31/31) dissapears and is then impossible to find...but if I keep the method as "method 1" it is always findable. What is going on, the IV spread I want CAN be found under method 1, but NOT method K!

whats your seed? is it 13000F27? lol try using a different seed, one thats within a 1000 frames

my seed is:

B71308A4

I enter the seed into the box on the RNG reporter main window. If I hit "generate" with Method 1 selected, I can find the spread I want at frame 152. BUT (since Zapdos is method K) I change the method TO Method K, and then m IV spread is no longer found in the results.

What. The. Fuck.

EDIT: blackwing_zero, the seed 13000F27 IS an option for my IV spread, but is NOT the one im using

Dunno what the problem was, but I noticed that during my calibration, my delays were even (and I had a Megaman GBA game in). So I tried using my Pokemon Ruby to get it to odd, thereafter my Elm calls matched and I've RNG'd my favorite pokemon with perfect IVs. Thanks to those that helped me!

congrats on your first rng, i hoped i helped a little haha :D

I caught only one red gyarados and I put its IVs into "chain to SID" to find my SID, but it gave me 328 possible results.
Is there a way to see them all? I wanted to try to catch a shiny pokemon with each one of these to find my SID...

Is it possible to rng abuse for something if the target delay is lower than your calibrated delay? ex: i want delay 204 but my calibrated delay is 494

Negative - if you were just a little under you could conceivably knock a little off your delay, but that one's just too low to make it into the game in time.

I just got this Zapdos not too long ago. Try this:

Method K, w/ sync: bold
Seed: 35050266
Delay: 604
Frame: 977

That worked for me. I got it from PokeRNGDP and I didn't need to input any info specific to my game, so it should work for you too. The frame is high, but it works fine.

The all calls (as far as I know) do advance the frames. Im not sure how much frame advancement for every person on the call list, but I do know that "Joey" does advance the frames by "2" when he is NOT looking for a Battle.
So Irwin Advances by 1 or every call just like Elm? Or does he advance by some other number? Because I don't have Elm before I beat the game o_o
