Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

posted this earlier and didnt get any responses :(

i just started RNGing my first pokemon egg for IVs, i have a question. at the final stage when you reset to hit your target time and delay, is it pretty much random what delay you hit? for example, i am trying to hit 607, and i have gotten 597 and 603. there is no way to actually control the delay right? so i just have to keep hoping to hit Continue at exactly 607?

Muffinhead that is correct, you just have to cross your fingers and keep plugging away. You could also factor your other delays into the PikaTimer
bleehh another program -__- this one does seem extremely useful though, im going to download it soon. thanks :DD
expect to see lots of yanmegas over wifi heheheheh

Unwanted Egg RNG advancements in HG/SS

For HG/SS Egg RNG abusing:

Say I've successfully hit my god-forsaken delay and made the necessary advances for my desired Egg, before depositing my parents. Once I deposit my parents in the daycare, and bike up and down Goldenrod city, if I get a random call from the pokegear, will that advance the egg's frame before the old guy has the egg available to hand out? (I know Elm calls are separate from egg frame advancements though. Or am I wrong about this one?)

It does not advance the IRNG. You're good to go.

Thank you for answering. Also, would you be able to explain why it is that people sometimes miss their egg frame when rejecting eggs to advance their egg frame (as opposed to calling joey or something) due to a random phone call? Do the random calls affect Egg IRNG on subsequent eggs after the first egg when parents are first deposited?

Idk if I made it harder to read, so here's a step by step of what's on my mind:
1. Hit delay and crap, then verify w/ 10 Elm calls (should not advance IRNG)
2. Say my frame is 3, so I'll call joey when he's not seeking a rematch (rather than rejecting eggs), advancing 2 more to the IRNG to reach 3.
3. Deposit parents.
4. Bike up and down.
5. Say someone calls randomly now, like Irwin, and says hearing about my escapades rocks his soul.
6. After biking up and down some more, the daycare man is finally looking toward the left.

When I take the egg now, will my IRNG advancements be off due to Irwin's unecessary random call?
Also, had I chosen to advance IRNG by rejecting eggs, would my IRNG be thrown off due to said random call?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

When breeding for IVs, I'm on the step where I have to see what frame I saved on. So, I mash A until I get in-game and get the egg before an NPC moves. Now, I was just wondering if the Buneary running through the tunnel on the other side of the fence (in the Day Care) will mess up my results, even if any other NPCs do not move?

When checking the save frame, what method do I select to generate my results after finding my initial seed?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it, and luckily I landed on frame 2 :)

Thank you for all the help, but I have another question ;-; In the video by bearsfan092, he says to right click the spread and click generate adjacent results, but I don't see that option. What do I do now?

Generating adjacent results is after you find your save frame and started to use Time Finder to obtain your spread.

Once you're on that step, right clicking on a spread will have that option ^_^

I find that the IRNG frame sometimes advances if there are any incoming calls. It doesn't always advance, but I have had many messed up breeding attempts due to incoming calls. When there are no calls, I never have a problem.

I have discovered that when doing IRNG, it is best to choose a time in the first half hour of the hour so that the minutes do not roll over to the next hour while you are biking up and down the path waiting for your egg to arrive. When the hour rolls over, you'll very likely get an incoming call.

I really don't get why some people say incoming calls don't advance the IRNG because they do on my game. This advancement is not consistent, but it does happen. Every time I try to reject more than one egg, I always have a fail on the egg I want to get (wrong nature/not shiny). So I limit the remaining two IRNG frames to two. It's best of course if you can get the last frame down to one so you don't have to reject any eggs.

I have taken a chance after a phone call and saved in front of the Daycare man and still gotten my target egg (shiny/right nature), but I recall this happened only once and it was when the game mom telephoned.

Thanks to this wonderful guide I now know how to catch perfect IV'd Pokemon. Nothing like a perfect IV'd Zapdos to give you that warm fuzzy feeling :P

YMMV, but I had far better success on a standard DS than I did my DSi XL. It's just easier to set the clock on my DS with the A button (on the standard DS) than it is to hit a touch screen (on the DSi).

Is it possible to get a perfect IV spread with Jolly nature...on a wondercard Jirachi...? I've read somewhere that the Jolly Nature worked different...or something, vague memory. I know that the nature is randomly generated when dealing with wondercard (or are they...dunno) or it is already preset.

Yes it is possible. For wondercards the natures and IV's are generated separately from each other so you can have any nature with any IV spread.

its possible, but its incredibly difficult, i've been trying for it for a while now, still no luck. but don't let that stop you though, its wondercard method in rng reporter and has a starting frame of 1.
just do what you did for mewtwo and you'll be fine. but you should probably learn to advance frames with the radio ^^

If entei is to be regenerated and I still have the other two roamers running free which frame is entei created on? 1 or 6? (3 or 8? taking the roamer advancements into consideration)

guys, what is the Gyarados' starting frame in HGSS (I mean the shiny Gyarados of Lake of Rage), and its manipulation changes with the fact that it is shiny?

frame 1 chained shiny method from RNG reporter. I strongly recommend finding out your ID/SID and wait until after elite 4 to capture it as it will be easier to use elm calls and radio by then, and I also recommend not using a synchronizer as well.

So if I kill it, will return after elite 4?
However, would this method "Chained Shiny (Theoretical)"?
