Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ok then, but to reiterate my previous question:

I'm unsure of how many frame advances I should do. Based on what I've read, it seems that the number of advances (after killing the roamers and assuming there are no wandering NPCs) is the target frame minus one, minus the number of calls done to Elm to confirm the seed. However, I'm not sure if this is correct.

If the Frame is 74 you call Elm 73 times

Don't just call him seventy three times. Look at the the Elm call list while you're doing it to make sure they match. If you assume you're on the right frame when you start calls, you could miss your frame. But if you match the calls, you'll know exactly where you are.

Definitely take this advice. I tried keeping track on paper and even then I missed one somehow. The Elm call list rocks!

Alright. I have a particular seed that makes the Pikatimer give me a sum total of one minute in countdowns. The timer says to set the clock to one minute before the target. The target is 02:06:50. So I am suppose to set it to 02:05 right? Even though this will land at exactly 2:06:00 in the game?

I've never had Pikatimer do this. If it told me "1 minute before the target" the first timer (for soft reset) has always been over 80 seconds. Your starting time + SR timer + delay timer should equal to your target time.

Is there a way to change what Gift the delivery man gives you first? I wanna RNG Latias, but I he gives me the Jirachi First.
no tried it myself couldn't find a way, then googled this and still nothing so your going to have to do Jirachi first.

Hey guys, I'm breeding in platinum and I need help finding a spread.
Here are the parents ivs:
A: 31/31/31/31/31/31
B: 31/2/31/30/31/30
I have a Modest Seedot in daycare, and I am saved on a 6 frame. I cannot use journal, so I needs a 6 frame.
I need a HP ice/fire 70 spread. I also need a delay from 598-610.
Thanks!

Ok...I am getting really frustrated. I have been attempting a RNG for about 6 hours now. Here is what is happening.

I am going for 741 and what has been happening to me in the past is that the first attempt always sees me below the delay by about 42-48. So I update the Pikatimer and withing 2-5 tries I hit my delay.

However today I have been going for 741 and the first time I will be under about 42-48 and then I update. After that I am continuously off by completely random times. Sometimes it is by a second, sometimes by 6-9 seconds. What the heck is going on.

I would really appreciate some help here.

Also, before someone says that I need to calibrate or something just know that I have used the setting that I have now for the last four successful RNGs that I have done.

You're having swinging delays. Welcome to the unstable world of Pikatimer and CPU silliness. Turn off all programs you don't need while Pikatimer is running and don't refresh your browser or use other programs that might steal CPU priority from Pikatimer.

I am getting the error below when I try to run PikaTimer (and JavaRNG as well). I wasn't getting this before. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

Still waiting on an answer.

Hi again. Last time I successfully RNG'd a Latias in Pewter City, how does RNGing differ for Eggs and roaming pokemon? Do I still need to hit my frame before I talk to the Old Man for my egg (assuming he has one ready for me when I hit the frame?)? How do I RNG a roaming Latios that hasn't been triggered?(Fyi this is HG SS)

Also want to ask... Does it matter when I put the parents into the daycare? After I receive my egg, I don't need to care much about how or when I hatch the egg right?

Yeah...I disconnected my internet and then restarted my comp. All I had open was RNGreporter and Pikatimer. The exact same thing was happening. It seems like the Pikatimer just starts messing up after I add in the delay I get and then update. Because I am trying to hit 741 and I consistently land on 695, 697, 699 and 701. When I update the Pikatimer it then begins to mess up. Oh well. I just want to know if this will go away? Or should I uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Uninstalling it wouldn't do anything. The problem with 'updating' pikatimer is that it doesn't adjust both timers so updating by a delay of 40...which is quite a lot...could cause you to miss your second...but only by 1...

What do you use for your calibrated delay? 480? the reason I ask is that, maybe you should change it so you don't have to update regularly....I never touch that option.

I use 490...should I set it lower to match my being off by 40? Would that then be 490?

Signum, Riski has guides in her thread that helped me a lot when I was learning. Read up on them a bit, I'm sure you'll get it in no time.

I'm saved just after the Elite four and before battling the champion. I have Raikou and Entei out and I'm doing the RNG for latias. The usual frame for latias when all roamers are KOed is 11, but what is it if Raikou and Entei are still roaming?

it's 1 if the other two are still roaming.

Ok, but why does the guide mention an offest, then? Quote of guide below.

The order for regeneration is Entei -> Raikou -> Lati@s. If all 3 roamers have been released and KOd, then defeating Lance will respawn Entei with frame 1's spread, Raikou with frame 6's spread, and Lati@s with frame 11's spread. If Raikou has been caught and the other 2 have been KOd, then Entei will respawn with frame 1's stats and Lati@s will respawn with frame 6's stats. If Entei is still roaming and the other 2 have been KOd, then Raikou will (probably) respawn on frame 2 and Lati@s on frame 7. The extra offset on the last example is due to the fact that having Entei on the map will cause the frame to automatically advance by (at least) 1 when the game starts.

Edit: Doesn't this mean latias is on 3 if the other two roamers are present? Do I have that right? Can anyone confirm it?
