Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

PokeRNG is an exe file that should run by clicking it. If it doesn't run, you should check the post by Wichu on the program (should be somewhere on the first page of this help thread). The program may require .net to be installed on your computer. I'm not sure.

Eh, it .NET won't install on 64 bits pc's (or so says my comp) and I am able to run pokeRNG just fine without it =/

Yes, if you have Windows 64 bit, it should already be installed.

Isn't Wichu's program and PokeRNG the same thing? I thought it was. :-(

Edit: Sorry, I'm confused because you said you couldn't get Wichu's program to run, but that last message of yours said you could get PokeRNG to run fine, and as far as I know, these are the same programs.

The excel spreads, I believe show method 1, but you just use the same seed and choose method J when you use the seed in RNG reporter. You make sure you have the synch that matches the nature of your catch, and you should find that your wanted IV spread is on more than one frame instead of just the one it was on before in method 1. Each new frame you find it on has it's own encounter slot for wild pokemon encounters. Right click to see them.

Okay, so if i want a method j pokemon, i have to have a synchronizer?

Also, where do i
use the same seed and choose method J when you use the seed in RNG reporter.
?

Well, I don't really use excel spread sheet seeds, but one of those columns are hex numbers which are seeds. It should say at the top of the columns. It's probably the first column.

No frame exists for some Method J catches. So yes, it's best to have a synch until you get more familar with RNG.

Hi, Im trying to RNG for a shroomish, and right now I have completed SS enough to reach Viridian Forest but I have been headbutting trees and No pokémon has appeared in those trees :/ Does anyone know why?

if i don't want a shiny [because some of them are ugly as hell], but i want perfect IVs in HGSS, do i just uncheck the box for HGSS Shiny Egg? i still want to dictate the nature and such. i'm just not sure how to go about doing it.

You still need to tick the box, I believe, or the calculations may not work right, because you'll get a seed for DPPt instead of for HGSS. Just leave the SID OT boxes blank.

@zerohorus if you headbutt a tree and you get no pokemon, then you will never get a pokemon from this tree, if you do get one, you will always a pokemon out of it. so before you SR to your result, find a tree which you can headbutt and get a pokemon from it ^^

Thanks riski you've been quite helpful.

That Breloom is definetly going to be in my trophy case, finding that tree is gonna take some time, thanks for the information! :)

mmk thanks. i tried that last night and didn't get the right nature...but i'll give it another shot tonight.

No problem( That's wierd, I used headbutt on my very first tree today and it got me a pokemon :O) if you are in an area with very few trees, you could save b4 mashing all of them in case they all get negatives results (if you want a certain catch location ^^)

All right, well, try putting the wrong SID in the SID box. Also, make sure you have the right gender ratio for your baby pokemon (because maybe that's why you had the nature problem last night).

with no ID and no SID, i get the wrong nature. with ID and no SID, i still get the wrong nature. i'll try inputting an incorrect SID and see if that works. if not...i just don't want a shiny bronzong ;____; is it just beyond RNGReporter? should i try something else?

Sometimes Egg frames skips on me. Are you sure that the nature your getting is not in the delay you landed on? Maybe you are using international parents? International parents dont always have to be japanese. :)

i've got everything right. i've never had a problem with shinies. i can RNG shiny eggs with perfect IVs no problem. i'm hitting my delays, confirming with elm calls. i just can't RNG a non shiny egg to what i want. i guess i can just hatched a crap load of eggs until i get one with the right nature, saving before each so i can configure the IVs.

All right, this is what you do instead. You RNG for a shiny, but you hit an adjacent seed. You copy adjacent seed to clipboard, put seed into seed(hex) main window. Generate using international parents. Look down the generated list and hope to see a right nature ability pokemon on the list with a low odd frame. If yes, put parents in daycare and do the IRNG advancements. If fail, try again and check the adjacent delay you hit for a good IRNG frame.

mmk thanks! i'm gonna try this out and see if it works.

I'm trying to breed a shiny Charmander of hardy nature in HGSS. Here's all the technical stuff:

Seed: DE0A0282
Frame: 1
Delay: 632

I use the Pikatimer to time it all correctly, but I seem to keep screwing it up somehow. I start off right in front of the Day-Care woman and put both my Charmander and Japanese Ditto in. So far so good? Let me know if and where I screw it up.

I don't think I can verify my seed as I haven't gotten the Pokerus yet. Also, please let me know if there's another way to verify my seed in HGSS.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to start off in that spot, or if I even start off on Frame 1.

I'd appreciate any advice!

EDIT: I should also mention I'm not 100% sure on my SID, but through multiple IV tests I'm pretty sure I got it right. If you'd like to know these.. ID:27631 SID:26800

Ok, can someone PLEASE give me an answer to this? It's been on 3 different pages with no response yet. Thank you

How many frames would the following actions advance the RNG, assuming I am one square away, facing the entrance/ladder?

- Entering Ho-oh's rooftop via the ladder
- Entering Lugia's cavern via the cave door
- Surfing on the water in Lugia's cavern
- Walking up to Ho-oh on it's rooftop
