First off,

BlackLightAttack:

In order to use the Secret Key, the player must have received the Wonder Card for the Secret Key and received the key from the Poké Mart, setting a flag in the game. Just having the Secret Key in the bag is not enough.

thanks for the straight and definitive answer.

What are the some of the best counters to Agility Lucario?

Looks like Hippowdon would make an excellent counter. Can easily survive a Close Combat, might survive 2 if leftovers isn't taken into account, guaranteed to survive 2 if it is. Ice Punch is super effective but still weaker than CC (it's really just there for the 4x-weak-to-ice gang).

When you see the agility, switch to Hippowdon to take the CC (or even better, a Crunch/Ice Punch). Between the defense loss from CC and Life Orb recoil, EQ from Hippo is a OHKO, although if Luke hits you with 2 CC's your Hippo's sitting around 15% now. Hope they send in something slow so you can Slack Off.

Also, Luke isn't incredibly bulky and is still weak to Fighting, whereas he doesn't have anything short of a stray Fire Punch that can really destroy Scizor, so Superpower Scizor might be worth a shot. I haven't done any testing though so no word on what kind of damage CC is dishing to Scizor. Although now that I come to think of it, after Life Orb recoil and CC defense drop, you might be able to 1HKO him with Infernape's Mach Punch. Infernape wouldn't be able to survive a CC though so he'd be better suited for a revenge kill. Again, I haven't tested that and it's more just a suggestion for a possible solution. You should do some testing if it sounds worthwhile.

What's a creative FGW core for UU? I was thinking something with a Tangrowth, but I can't fill in the other spots. Also, who can easily break down a FGW core in UU?

I have a Gentle Spiritomb with the IV spread 18/26/31/31/27/31 (variable of plus one).

Would I be better served using an EV spread of 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Sdef resulting in a stat base of 291/278/226/219/271/106?

OR

An EV spread of 52 HP/252 Atk/204 Def resulting in a stat base of 241/278/271/219/271/106?

Input is appreciated. Thanks.

Gentle is not a good ability on Spiritomb, as it's often considered a tank, and is supposed to take hits reasonably well.
I say try to get another Spiritomb altogether, but if you want to keep it, definitely go with the first to try and maximize the effectiveness.

I can answer the 1st question... a common FWG core is Arcanine + Venusaur + Milotic, and it's pretty hard to take down in UU. ^_^

just a quick question:

i noticed that the jirachi's movepool list does not contain the elemental punches (eg fire punch, but its movesets in the analysis have them.)
http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/jirachi/moves

also, the list of pokemon that can learn the moves does not list jirachi also:
http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/fire_punch

i'm wondering why this is so. is it because it's an HGSS addition and the site is not updated? is this an exclusive case for jirachi or many more pokemon have lacking moves in the site? i'm concerned because i enjoy looking for creative possibilities and i need the data (for example, i want to try out using imprison as competitively as possible. is there any assurance that the 13 listed on the site are the ONLY pokemon who really learn the move?)

zyrefredric:

It's likely because the Strategy Pokedex wasn't updated. Probably no one has bothered to update the move sets and analyses. (I'm unaware of which users are tasked with maintaining the main site.) By the way, my move checker has up-to-date information.

Hey i posted a similar question regarding a different pokemon and i got a good and quick response jus hoping for that again. Im making a D Dance Dragonite seen as salamance is now ubers and i only just got round to replacing him, anyways i got 2 dragonites here both adamant both perfect speed and attack but there deferences are radically different the IV's are as listed...

13Hp/31Atk/30Def/5SpA/30SpD/31Spe
28Hp/31Atk/20Def/5Spa/5Spd/31Spe
Basicly I am a lazy breeder and i have to have one of you lovely folk to make the decision for me :P

I would use the first one, since dragonite's special defense is already pretty good and lowering it by that much isnt a good idea.

Heatran counters:
In OU: Blissey #12, Swampert #10, Flygon #15, Tyranitar #4, Dragonite #11, Gyrados #3
Others: Umbreon, Tentacruel, Snorlax, Milotic, Claydol, Suicune, Cresselia, Dusknoir, Cradily
Did I miss any or are there any that don't belong here?

I wouldn't include Cradily in that list, because Cradily can't counter it a good amount of the time. I think Tyranitar stands a much better chance, but if Heatran plays it correctly, they will both be taken out without a problem. Oh and Blissey is greatly threatened by Explosion, but outside of that, Blissey doesn't care what Heatran throws at it

If I have questions for how to properly use a team displayed on that thread, or any other reasource, who/where would I ask. Here?

If they're specific questions, then here is a great place to ask. But if it requires some more in-depth analysis, then the battle tower thread is probably a good place to ask.

How do I "hide" messages? As in when the "show" button show up.

Select the text you want to hide, and click the button at the top right that looks like a minus sign in a yellow box, or just put [HIDE\]Text you want to hide[/HIDE\], without the backslashes, and replace "text you want to hide" with the text you wish to hide. Also if you wish to put a brief summary of what's in the hide tags, that can be seen without clicking, then you can do [\HIDE="Summary of text"]Text you want to hide[/HIDE\], and include the quotes, while losing the backslashes. It looks like this:
ROFLCOPTER
. Hope this helps!
