Please let this be true! These damn leaks . . . so tantalizing . . . but so unconfirmed . . . it is driving me crazy!

Agreed! I expected one evo for meguroko, but 2?? If this is true he'll be a HUGE powerhouse for sure with the typing and ability!

Tantalizing? You do realise that this is the guy who's saying the worst starter evos ever seen on earth are real, right?

They are referring to the rumor of Meguroko having 2 evos, not all of the leaks. Although I suppose one confirmation confirms the rest if the source is the same...

Also, #535 on pokexperto sounds like a new salamander/newt line. They have tads with little gills on the side (think wooper). I hope it gets good secondary typing! Of course, if this ended up as a Croagunk prevo I'd be cool with that.

So we have a big Pokemon with two concrete blocks in hand?

I really really fucking hope this thing gets Wake Up Slap or something. Waking something up by bitchslapping them in the face with a concrete block would be awesome.

Going back to breeding.

The unhealthy obsession with 'perfect' pokemon is brought on by a combination of Hacking and Shoddy battle. Neither of which GF directly care's about beyond wanting to stop the former.

Legit Hacking is by far the worst. By people hacking perfect pokemon you make others want perfect pokemon too. Those who don't wish to hack want a way to level the playingfield between hackers and non-hackers by nerfing down a game mechanic. Why should GF conceede a theme of their game because some people hack to circumvent it?

Should GF just let Rare Candies be bought at any store? Should GF let shinies show up just as often as none shinies? Come'on people.

If no one could hack or RNG or CLONE you wouldn't see as much of a focus on perfect stats because it'd be really hard and many people don't have the time to spend on it. So then you'll see people taking their very good but imperfect pokes to battle and it becomes much more interesting and personal.

If pokemon battling is supposed to be a 'sport' then all athletes should be somewhat unique.

Shoddy, by being in nature a Theoretical Battle Simulator, trains people to only care about the battle. EVs and IVs are just things that can be plugged in. This takes away from the main theme of pokemon, having an awesome 'animal' pet that you raised and only you raised. Then every battle and loss is something you both share and a result of you and your poke's abilities.

By turning this game into just by the numbers metagaming you sacrifice a large draw of Pokemon. I like the competative scene, I just want to see it stay on the internet and not show up on my DS.

Regarding EVs and IVs, it would be nice to see some sort of game mode where these don't apply, and you then are just working off Base Stats - with natures being the only differing factor. It would see a refreshing batch of Mixed movesets, that's for sure.

Have you ever had a pet that was your sole responsibility? If you have, then you must know how the simulation of that bond isn't represented well in the games, so what's the point? I never have a bond with my Pokemon because their is no interaction, and probably never will be. The only time I care about the individual Pokemon rather than my team is when they faint, but that is only because I don't want to lose that particular battle. The entire "Pokemon are our friends" gimmick is complete bullshit in the games, that only translates to the Anime where actions are clear-cut (ie Ash's character is written in a script; whereas the player in the game makes their own decisions). They'd have to really change up the games to make the connection feel more personal. Things like cooking for our Pokemon, giving them water, grooming, etc, would make it more personal. Things that you have to take a considerable amount of time to do each day, or else your Pokemon "die" or become sick. Since I don't see that happening any time soon, I'd like to see the main chunk of time I spend playing the games (competitive) become more easily available on the carts.

remind me of how the daycare sucks. you just let pokemons there to train and fuck, on digimon there is a digifarm where you actually got a bit of control over the training, you decide the training tools, you can talk to them, heck, sometimes they might even ask for help with something stupid like toilet paper. what we got on pokemon? no shit, you just battle. also surely a atack like overheat is not capable of killing a pokemon made entirely of grass. just saying.

to put it short i dont think gamefreak will allow us to take care of our pokemons in a pet way, if they do then awesome, i always wanted to play with my Lucario or some random shit but i doubt they will allow us to do this. even if was only optional(for those hardcore competitive players that dont give a shit and just want to battle, so that they are not forced to do this) to play and other things i would still enjoy to feed my pokemons and other things.

Tantalizing? You do realise that this is the guy who's saying the worst starter evos ever seen on earth are real, right?

I do realize that. True, I'm not crazy about those starter evos, but I don't think they are the trash that a lot of others are making them out to be either.

Honestly, if them being real means that Shimama gets an evolution, we get a bad-ass 3-stage Dark/Ground Crocodile, and a turtle fossil, then I can except that.

Does anyone know yet if Pokemon Black and White will be region exclusive? I remember reading a while back that people believed they would be Japan region tied. If not however I would probably import one of them.

No DS game is region exclusive because the DS is not a regional console. I think the only difference between buying a DS in America and Japan is that you'll get different charges for the different outlets.

Posted on Melkor's twitter.

Melkor does not know everything!
Based on what I said a friend who works at Club Nintendo Magazine from Mexico, I get a document where you see the artwork of Pokemon, the name in kanji, the type and method of evolution. Surely Pokexperto member who works at Nintendo Action received this document from NoE. According to my friend, NoA barred display this information before the Pokemon were revealed in Japan. The idea was to show after the release for players to get used [because until you beat the game you can not see the old pokes]. Nintendo had already done this in the 2nd generation of Mexico and Club Nintendo revealed the pokemon. For so here in Pokexperto not aware of the stats, or skills or attacks. Only know details such as appearance, the type and developments. Obviously you do not have the rom yet.

I´m from Mexico, and I honestly find it hard to believe all of this Pokexperto stuff is related to Club Nintendo Magazine, which, in my opinion, is not that good when it comes to being updated with gaming info. In fact, as far as I remember, Club Nintendo always takes a lot more time to give news of a new game, and it has NEVER given entire coverage of a single game, like revealing the pokedex. It justs shows the general aspects of the game, release date, reviews, etc, so I really see no reason for them to get all the sprites and names from Nintendo if they never show things like that in the magazine. I also don´t remember Club Nintendo leaking Silver & Gold pokes, but I could be wrong here.

All this comes from someone whose brother was an avid Club Nintendo Magazine collector for 10 years.

I´m not saying this as fact, but after reading that I thought I should share this.

Only on the DSi (due to the DSi-features like wireless video chat, which make it a DSi-enhanced title). It can be played just fine on any DS or DS Lite, though.
Myself said:
Because it's not a DSi game--its a DSi enhanced title, due to features it has like local-wireless video chat, which require that. One of the results of a game being DSi-enhanced is that it's region-locked on Nintendo DSi systems--that's just how it is, and is something outside of Game Freak's hands (beyond just making them DS games instead, but they apparently wanted the DSi-enhanced features more, figuring they would end up drawing more people in with the features than they'd lose from people who were considering importing that only have a DSi, since, even if Pokemon's case, that's still a rather niche market to try and appeal to (or at least so I'd imagine, due to the high cost of importing, language barrier being annoying, and just what I've gathered in general from Importing threads on places like BMGf, Serebii, etc), especially when that's limited to the subset of potential importers that only have a DSi). Pokemon Black and White aren't the first DS games this has happened to either--Sonic Classic Collection for the DS is similarly region locked due to being a Nintendo DSi-enhanced title:

http://www.vooks.net/story-19055-Nintendo-DSi-regionlocking-confusing-catching-people-unware.html
http://ds.ign.com/articles/102/1027349p1.html (Not about SCC, but related)

As you can see in the following post, Sonic Classic Collection had the "TWL" designator above the barcode, which is for Nintendo DSi-enhanced titles:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=20648316&postcount=68

As it turns out, Pokemon Black & White have that same designator, and thus will be DSi-enhanced titles (which they'd have to be anyway for stuff like they video chat):

So, unfortunately, due to Game Freak wanting to take advantage of some of the DSi's features for Black & White, they're DSi-enhanced titles. They'll still play just fine on any Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite, but will be region-locked on Nintendo DSi systems.

From Hiro:
"Today I`ll pass all of the day in Merida, I hope you miss me. I did a quick draw in MSN of the new "Poliwag", it was done in seconds but is enough to give you an idea"

It looks like a tadpole with headphones to me.

Update:
536: A bigger tadpole. Has developed legs, still no arms. Blue color, white tail. Three protuberances from head, four from body. Water/Ground

He hasn't got the ROM... only the sprites, their types and japanese names (on hiragana/katakana/whatever)
Why isn't he/she posting the freaky sprites then? If you have proof of your claim then you shouldn't be ashame to show it to everyone. Him not giving us some visual signs of what he's describing make it hard to believe his claim.

At this point I'm tempted to do a ground mono-type run in my white version with Meguroko evo, Doryuzu, and the new tadpole water/ground.

If Desukan is confirmed to be ground soon that pretty much seals it for me. Love my ground types!!

I didn't see any info on pokexperto, is doryuzu confirmed to be ground only or did it gain a steel type? Melkor didn't specify, but I've seen some posts referring to it as pure ground...

That thing reminds me of this toy that only has one set of wheels but has a stick on the back that keeps it from just flipping over. Put Thomas the Tank Engine's face on one of those and you get that thing.
