I think the "153" non-event Pokémon is misleading, since 3 of those are probably Victini, Zorua, and Zoroark, whom we know are Event Pokémon. And since Victini's no where near the end of that listing, it probably is #494, right after Arceus.

But then... where's Zorua and Zoroark in the Pokédex?

Zorua and Zoroark are probably around the same place in the Pokedex as Riolu and Lucario were.

Edit: When a pure Flying-type uses Roost, it doesn't have any type for the turn (or atleast, it becomes the ??? type as filler which has no weaknesses or resistances).

Hiro`s info, SUMMARY:
>There are 8 gyms: Grass/Fire/Water, Normal, Bug, Ground, Dragon + 3 more (Hiro said there arent Rock, Psychic, Poison or Dark gyms)
>There are 13 legendaries (2 trios, 3 event pokemon, Reshiram, Zekrom, Dragon/Ice pokemon, Victini). The legendaries have interesting types, there are a pure Flying legendary pokemon.
>New combintions include Bug/Fire, Dark/Fighting, Water/Ghost, Dark/Dragon.
>there is no dolphin, koala or kangaroo pokemon
>There is a polar bear pokemon, a cute one and a fierce one (evolution)
>Confirms Denchura is Bug/Electric type.
>Shikijika evolves once and have an enormous antler.
>Denchura, Desukan y Hihidaruma are evolved pokemon
>the octopus we seen in a video have evolution.
>there are 2 fossils, a turtle and a bird
>there are not evo or pre-evos for past gen pokemon
>Chillarmy and Gear have evolutions (Hiro says he didnt like them because the final evos are like a copy from the previous stage).

I WANT TO BELIEVE!

A fighting trio?!
Polar Bear?!

We need this game to just leak already so we can start confirming all of this info and get some actual sprites :/

Zorua and Zoroark are probably around the same place in the Pokedex as Riolu and Lucario were.

This just makes me even more frustrated that they'll be 'in the Pokédex' but not obtainable until after the story. I was going to use Zorua/Zoroark ingame. At least if they were "Secret", that would ease the pain a bit.

Wow, I just got REALLY excited for the first time about gen 5. I love how they are exploring new typings with the legendaries. But, on that note, I think it's about time they put an end to bug/steel. Really, how many more do we need?

I have and Isshu with Hiro's information.

They said we were going to see some gyms without a focus on types.

He list 5 gyms, 2 of which we already know, all of them based around types.
First two gyms are in order, but the 4th gym is not listed as electric, which is basically confirmed.

There's only three, tbf. The only reason there seems to be more is because Scizor and Forretress are everywhere. Although 4 is still quite a bit for such a unique typing.

Now Water/Ground, there's something they need to stop. Quagsire was cool, because it was like "a water that resisted electricity - AWESOME" and then Swampert came along, who's pretty much my favourite Pokemon, and at the same time Whiscash which is meh, and Gastrodon which is Swampert with recover. Plus there's a new one in this gen, IIRC.

We really are getting a lot of Fighting and Psychic pokemon.

Fighting:

"Clown" line
"Judo" line
Legendary trio
Normal/Fighting Alt Form

Psychic:

Rank
Gochi
Flying puff ball line
Munna line
Victini
Normal/Psychic Legend

There might be more I can't remember off the top of my head, and we have barely seen half the supposed Dex. I'm not complaining, I just think it is interesting.

I'm also kinda hoping we'll get two psuedo-legend families like we did in R/S/E.

  • #633 through #635 are a Dark/Dragon-type evolution chain (Could be the next psudo legend though I don't think he'll have the same impact as garchomp due to both stabs being resisted by steel types)

  • #638 is a Steel/Fighting-type Legendary (Steel typing as usual is awesome, if lucario has taught us anything its that something with 4x resists to common stabs will find ways of setting up regardless of the def stats)

  • #639 is a Rock/Fighting-type Legendary (Another nice typing in my opinion, assuming it'll have a nice rock move to abuse its typing with not even fliers will be safe from this beast)

  • #640 is a Grass/Fighting-type Legendary (Interesting to see what it'll bring to the table in relation to breloom, Grass is good against bulky waters but besides that the stab combo is pretty average against the multiple flying types and celebi's out there.)
  • #641 is a Pure Flying-type Legendary (Its cool to see they finally made it, and it'll be interesting to see if its actually viable being stealth rock weak, while being weak to common stabs like rock electic and ice.)

  • #642 is an Electric/Flying-type Legendary(I can see this fighting for a spot on a team with zapdos, I wonder what it'll bring that'll seperate it from its fellow electric flying counterpart, hopefully either a bulkier form or a speedier form)

  • Reshiram is to be #643
  • Zekrom is to be #644
  • #645 is a Ground/Flying-type Legendary(Awesome typing! I can see this being a great counter to all the new fighting types we have which gliscor has proven can be done very effectively, hopefully it'll being something that seperates it though so that both are viable)

  • #646 is a Dragon/Ice-type Legendary(Eh stealth rock weak is kind of bad, it'll need something big to override that, something along the lines of an extreme set up sweeper because the defensive side of things dont seem so great, and both stabs are resisted by steel)

  • #647 is a Water/Fighting-type Event Legendary(Another awesome typing!, could be the next bulky water, if the stats are right this could be a freak to take down)

  • #648 is a Normal/Psychic-type Event Legendary(pretty meh typing, though if its fast enough it can switch into shadow balls and scare those ghosts off, if it changes to normal/fighting then it cant even do that)

  • #649 is a Bug/Steel-type Event Legendary

True, and it's a good type combination as well. However there are only so many ways you can armor plate a bug. Instead of a bug/steel legendary I would have rather had a fighting/flying legendary. Now that's good stab, only resisted by zapdos and rotom in gen 4 (ofc, that means nothing in gen 5, but meh).

I hope its faster - I really want it to be like an Aerodactyl sort of distribution, otherwise it will always be compared to Zapdos (fuck it, it'll get compared to Zapdos whatever).

Well, we have Emonga, so even if it's bad, it won't be the WORST Electric/Flying type in the game.

Isn't that little rodent emonga also electric/flying? It looks too weak to compete in ou, but still.
On a semi related note, who is the guy at game freak who relates rodents to electric type? Every gen so far we've gotten AT LEAST one new electric rodent >_>. Now that's something they need to kill.

There is something about the information on serebii that doesn't seem to fit. They are saying that there are 156 new pokemon with 3 event pokemon of the typing Bug/Steel, Normal/Psychic and Water/fighting. If i remember correctly, Victini is also a event pokemon, but i don't remember it being one of these types.

That's, unfortunately, not something that is going away any time soon. Every fangirl loves their little Pika-ripoffs.

Although even I love Emonga.

Wouldn't Roost on that Pure Flying thing be glitchy? I mean, i think it will turn to the "???" type after the Roost. Or maybe broken, combined with high stats.

Replied in bold

Hiro never said that. You are confusing him with that "japanese" guy named Hajime (or something like that) that posted in 4chan part of the script because he have a friend working in the translation to english. All that was a lie btw, he confessed.

Hiro never said the order of the gyms. I remember he hinted the Dragon gym as the 8th one.
