Pokemon Black and White (SPECULATIONS ALLOWED HERE)

Here is something to consider about recent rumors:

Recently, there was an item given that had NO USE in the game. This confused people FOREVER. Black and White was announced, and then people pieced it together, could this item have use in Black and White?

So, seeing as Gamefreak has no reason to include a useless item, I can only believe that items can be traded over, though I can't be certainly obviously. Honestly, its really conflicting. On one hand we know the TM system is changing, but then we have this item staring us in the face. What do you make of it?

Wouldn't Roost on that Pure Flying thing be glitchy? I mean, i think it will turn to the "???" type after the Roost. Or maybe broken, combined with high stats.

They will probably just program it to become Normal type while roosting, since they are normally associated.

Then again, maybe it never lands and can't learn roost.

Black and White release in just a little bit over a week, and the item you're discussing, the Lock Capsule hasn't even been mentioned, much less given out.

The means of transferring it, according to the ingame data that's been hacked out, are more akin to the transfer of the Manaphy Egg than making a Pokémon hold it and trade it over.

lock capsule? uh

Or, you could just let it have no weaknesses or resistances for half a turn. 0H N035 TH3 5KY 1S F4LL1NG!!!111!11!.

Srsly, the whole Roost argument is complete BS.

But two Dragon lines? Pure Dragon + Dark/Dragon... geez. That just seems extremely boring. I mean, I knew they liked giving out the Dragon-type to everyone and their mothers since Gen IV, but really?
Hopefully Kibago isn't a pseudo legendary. Because really, Dragon isn't an over-represented type. Water. Now there's a type that everyone and their mother gets.

Roost is no biggie. It maintains its flying type, but only takes neutral damage from elec, ice, rock while it is roosted.

Done.

Hiro`s info, SUMMARY:
>There are 8 gyms: Grass/Fire/Water, Normal, Bug, Ground, Dragon + 3 more (Hiro said there arent Rock, Psychic, Poison or Dark gyms)
Well, we also can guess Electric's in that, and probably no singular Grass, Fire, or Water Gyms.

That leaves Steel, Fighting, Ghost, Flying, or Ice for the last two remaining spots.

>New combintions include Bug/Fire, Dark/Fighting, Water/Ghost, Dark/Dragon.
Totally psyched for a water/ghost!

>there are not evo or pre-evos for past gen pokemon
At all? Or just pre Elite 4?

Pokexperto updated with the same list, but added:
#648: Legendary event Pokemon, Normal/Psychic. Have an alternative form -> Normal/Fighting.
Huh, that's an interesting switch. I wonder if it's moving between physical and special? It'd be cool if Psychic was actually the physical half and fighting was the special.

In regards to the the pure flying type legendary, how do y'all think roost will be handled? If I was game freak (I wish), I wouldn't handle it at all. Something that is so air based that it would be pure flying type would never come down to roost IMO.
It would become a neutral to all ??? type temporarally.

The interview says they designed 170, so I guess that means we'll get 17 (pre)evolutions for older Pokemon? If so, that's a really solid number of old and new Pokemon, imo.
I hope that's true. New evolutions are always the most exciting thing for me each generation.

Well, we have Emonga, so even if it's bad, it won't be the WORST Electric/Flying type in the game.
Uh, do we have anything to point to Emonga *not* being the Electric/Flying legendary? I mean sure, it looks like Pachirisu, but it could just as easily be a cute, surprisingly powerful legendary like the fairies or Shaymin or whatever.

Well, I think it's a long time coming, and I don't even think it's the least common type either. There aren't that many Ice or Ghost pokemon either, and I think there should be more also. Although, anything tied to the dragon type tends to be strong no matter what...there aren't really any extremely sucky dragon types, but I think that's a good thing to shake the metagame up some!

I think the fact that it has received barely and fanfare would be the indication, where Victini (revealed around the same time) has been in all sorts of places.

yeah, dragon seems to symbolize power. I'm more concerned about legendary explosion and inflation than typing, but dragon is getting an overload

Altaria... who doesnt even look vicious

It's funny, if the Pokedex numbers on Serebii are true, then we finish with a Steel/Bug type.

Generation IV last Pokemon: God
Generation V last Pokemon: Wormadam-S

My point is; Dragon was supposed to be a rare type that wasn't distributed often. Even if you don't agree with my aforementioned theory, then you have to admit it is the best offensive type in the game. Handing out Pokemon that have extremely good movepools, great typing, amazing STAB, and typically high BSTs all over the place lowers the challenge in the games and makes competitive play a mess. Water is the best overall type, imo, but it's not overwhelming on either offense or defense, due to Water-types having lower BST. It's like the legendaries; we started off with 5, now we're at 12+. We had a single Dragon-type line in Gen I, another in Gen II, 6 in Gen III, and 5 in Gen IV. We already have (rumored of course) Kibago, Dark/Dragon, Reshiram, Zekrom, and the Dragon/Ice. If they reveal anymore than that, I think it's too many.

All I'm saying is, instead of giving shit like Kibago the Dragon-type, they could've focused on something else. Do we really need a pure Dragon-type? I don't think so. Did Palkia need to be Dragon-type? Altaria? Nope.

Wormadam-S is the only disgrace to that awesome typing. Think of Scizor and be happy =D

If DP was anything to go by, people will get the game the day before it comes out, and reach final evolutions on that same day. I think we could definitely get confirmation on 17th, maybe even 16th if you live in the USA due to the time difference.

Up to Lv30+ in one day? I can only speak for myself, but I never managed to get 30 levels a day, when hanging in the story line. And people do have RL, right?

I think we can assume now that Arceus is the God of Pokejapan. Reshiram and Zekrom have dominion over Pokemerica, and that entire side of the world will have its own governing deities.

It'd be cool if the last Poke in the dex was a Scizor evolution produced by fornicating Scizor with an Arceus, thus gaining Pokegod's favor and evolving to a legendary.

You evolve it by placing them in daycare together :D

Dragon is not grass

I like your style.

I hope this Bug/Steel thing has Wonderguard. He'd be like "fuck you, Arceus, you can't hurt me"

"Haha, fuck you Legendary ScizForreWormadam, I've got a Flame Plate".

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

yo blasph, why are you assuming that every dragon type is going to have amazing BSTs/movepool? No one says they have to.

You don't even need an amazing BST... Kingdra has 540 BST, yet it's OU and Arcanine is not (555 BST). Intimidate is even a better ability than Swift Swim for OU, but Kingdra has the right typing to be OU. Also, every Dragon-type is bound to get Water or Fire or Ground or Fighting/Dragon moves. You really don't need anything else, as Dragon is only resisted by Steels, so any move that can hit Steel neutral means there are only a few Pokemon that can resist both attacks. I'd also like to mention that all pseudo-legendaries are 3 stages with 600 BST. The Dark/Dragon is obviously going to have great stats. Kibago's line is probably 3 Pokemon, which means it won't have the pitiful BST of 490 that Altaria has (who is still UU despite that).
