I cant belive people are so quick to bash the pure Flying type legendary, just becouse its weak to SR?
Rayquaza, Salamence, Lugia, Ho-oh says hi!

Also if it gets a good stat distribution (probably has one since its a legendary), decent movepool and a good abilty like Air Lock, i can see it surviveing in OU.

PS: Bug/Steel again? Boy, TrollFreak is milking this typeing so hard...

Its not guaranteed.
Patterns in the past =/= absolutes for the future.

You can use that "reasoning" for anything, but we have 4 generations of Pokemon to base this off. It's pointless to argue your point; once you see these Dragons are powerful, you'll say the exact same thing for next gen.

Fire types are actually getting decent representation this gen

Fire/Fight starter (yuck)
Fire (2 lines)
Fire/Bug
Fire/Ghost
Fire/Dragon
Fire/Psychic

If the fire/bug is anything but an Ant, I will end myself, probably. I want a Fire Ant.

Fire/Ghost with levitate, please.

Yeah, like Ho-oh and his Stealth Rock weakness...

Wait...

Stealth Rock isn't the only problem about the Ice-type.

Dragon and Ice offer the same coverage, except Ice hits a few more Super Effective and NVE. They both hit Dragons super effective, and can't scratch Steels. Additional Ice STAB doesn't offer anything to Dragon STAB other than than priority in Ice Shard.
Being weak to Steel and Stealth Rock SUCKS. It needs to have Giratina defense in order to survive a Bullet Punch from Scizor, and not having any STAB to beat down Metagross before it Meteor Mashes will not help. Then there's Jirachi..
Ice typing offers nothing except remove the Dragon's Ice weakness, but the Dragon weakness remains, while it loses its Fire resistance, and gets a weakness to Fighting, Steel, and Rock.
Ice types are notorious for having crappy movepools.

I'm not making a conclusion to how this Pokemon will work, since there might be newer things that can change the game. But what it looks like right now, I don't think it's necessary to automatically place this on Ubers as soon as a battle simulator for the 5th gen comes out. Who knows, it might have Snow Warning, or just an Ice version of TeraVoltage or TurboBlaze or even plain bland Pressure. We won't know if it will be fast, and if it hits harder on the special side or the physical side.

But two Dragon lines? Pure Dragon + Dark/Dragon... geez. That just seems extremely boring. I mean, I knew they liked giving out the Dragon-type to everyone and their mothers since Gen IV, but really?
Ok... I'm probly missing something here, but how do we know that Kibago doesn't end up Dragon/Dark? Was Bagon Dragon/Flying? was Dratini? And really, why can't the mantis thing be a Kibago Evo? The battle axe blade on it's head could be the final stage of that pitiful sticklike object in Kibago's mouth.

And it will still be true. No pokemon, reguardless of their typing, is guaranteed any moves.

Umm, what? Ground-types are pretty much guaranteed a Rock move, just like Dragon-types (depending on their influence) are guaranteed a move that allows them to hit most Pokemon neutral. This really isn't that difficult to grasp, is it? Electric, Fighting, Fire, Ground, and Water are all neutral against Steel. Any Dragon-type will be able to learn at least one of these moves. If you think otherwise, well I'm not even sure what to say to that.

@ DrunkRacoon: Umm, the rumor specifically states that Kibago's line is pure Dragon. The same person also posted the same things Serebii did; that the pseudo-legendary is Dark/Dragon.

Scizor can revenge kill Salemence
TTar can revenge kill Latias.
Flying offers nothing to Dragon.
Didn't stop either from being uber.

No, none of that is guaranteed at all. you are really making assumptions upon the future.

From pokexperto:

What legendaries are the trios? (ignoring Reshiram, Zekrom & Dragon/Ice pokemon)

#638, #639 & #640 are animals (2 of them look like horses) standing in 4 legs.
#641, #642 & #645 are Raijins

How look the 3 Raijin pokemon?
- Imagine a white Kinton cloud with a monster on top of it with a "genie pose" (the typical arms folded). The pokemon have humanoid shape with the exception of the skin color and facial features.
Those 3 legendaries are similar between them, basically the differences are the color, the shape the hair and an object they have.

The look of the legendary Bug/Steel is the classic "cute" one or have a "strong" look?
- Strong, looks like it came from the space. It`s a robot with a big lasser cannon on top of his head. His body resembles to a bug specie.

induction never guaranteed certainty, but is by all means highly likely and a good prediction based on previous trends

perhaps in something were trends actually happen. Pokemon are not made by trends but are designed individually. There are pokemon who break movepool rules, pokemon lacking things typical for their type. Shuckly didn't get a bug move until 4th gen. You'd imagine bug pokemon would be guaranteed a bug move, but this did not prove the case

These are Dragon-types, not Bug-types. They are mythical, powerful, and usually elemental creatures. I'd be absolutely astonished if they did not get at least one move of the types I mentioned. Nothing more needs to be said.

Oh, also, Melkor updated:
554: Darumakka (it has tiny arms and legs, Fire Type)
555 Hihidaruma. Hihidaruma have an alternative Forme (Fire/Psychic)

Picture of the other form too, looks less powerful though. I like the teeth and crazy eyebrows of the original form...

Well atleast the Bug/Steel legendary is an Alien/Robotic pokemon which forces me to ask the question:

Are any event legendary's this generation version exclusives?
Also whats with this flood of alternate forms, it seems every pokemon and its mother gets an alternate form, even Mamepato.

Hell yes. This guy and Blastoise can go to war together.

Flying offers nothing to Dragon.

Scizor doesn't revenge kill the Ice Dragon, it counters it. Worst thing to expect to take is a neutral Earthquake or HP Fire on the switch and/or if it tries to U-Turn, assuming GameFreak gives it a movepool that makes sense.
Flying offers Ground immunity and Roost. U-turn resistance is nice.

There probably isn't a reason to discuss this now seeing as we don't know what GameFreak plans with the Ice Dragon, but the problems I showed are worth noting though.

If true, I'm not bitching about the weird ass typings anymore.
