Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I experienced something odd this morning. I was RNGing for an Adamant Turtwig and I got the shiny part done quite quickly. Then I was RNGing for the IVs and I hit my frame and delay 3 times only to get the frame that was 2 ahead of my intended frame. I have never had any problems hitting the frame before when breeding. I did get the right IV set on the fourth try but only because I stopped three full frames before the intended frame instead of the usual one.

Does anyone have an idea of what happened? Just in case someone suggests it, all the roamers have been caught.

I'm still quite new to it but are you calibrating your frame each time you RNG for the IVs?

Normally one never needs to do this and I already stated that I have done this before and never had a problem. I have RNG'd around 20-30 shiny eggs and IVs and not once had to calibrate.

You don't have to calibrate your frames for HG/SS. The only thing I can think of is uh-oh on the ONE NPC...but at most that's usually +2frames...

So I was doing the calibration phase on SS, and I hadn't been using my ID and SID, but I this was only to find my delays, so did that mess up my delays or am I okay to keep going?

No, the ID/SID is only important in getting shiny stuff. For all it matters, you can leave it blank otherwise or fill it in with random numbers.

EDIT: AHHHH....sooo slow, lol.

Thanks! Also where can I find a list of ability numbers? I want my first RNG to be a Bold Chansey with Natural Cure, but I can't figure out what Ability number it is.

So I decided to use Pikatimer, but I can't seem to find a usual Delay. I usually get from 485-499. I've done it atleast 15 times, but should I keep going so it is easier or? I really want to be able to use pikatimer cause I heard it makes it alot easier on HGSS.

For calibrated delay, just enter an odd number between that range :)
Pikatimer should correct it via updating pikatimer.
Alright thank you!!
Edit:Ack another question- I mostly understand the pikatimer, like what the timers are for and all, but it says Minutes before target-1. So I start the first timer a minute before at 0 seconds? My first timer says 59.43. And at the end of it I should be at the continue screen, but I have to wait until it hits 0 correct?

Thanks everyone for your help! :D

I'm working on my enigma stone Latios.

When I entered the game, the first 2 calls were skipped, and when I closed the menu to talk to latios, even being as fast as I could (which is fast enough for eggs) some npc was able to put a single frame in my way. (curses)
When I hit my seed again, if the two calls skip repeats itself, should I assume that the surprise extra frame will repeat itself too and prepare for it by stopping the advancement 2 frames before the targeted frame?

Not necessarily. It just depends on whether or not NPCs screw up the advancements or not. It's pretty random, so if you try a frame early, you might end up getting that spread instead of the one you actually want.

Edit: The guide on the first page helped me nvm :D

Im using this seed 6601025d to get this spread 31 / 27 / 30 / 30 / 31 / 31
I input synchro as naive, nature as naive, ability 0 and the spread. However when I hit generate theres no results. Whats happening or what am I doing wrong?

When doing a CP Rng does it make it easier to hit a nature if you have a Synchronizer? Does it make a big difference basically?

Also what would be the best way to find my best shiny spreads? Just enter some IVs and see what I get?

A syncher makes a huge difference. It lowers the frame by a lot, gives you many more frames (encounter slots) to choose from, and some spreads don't even show up unless you have a syncher. For finding shiny spreads, I suggest searching for physical, special and mixed without searching for exact IVs but entering min IVs for each stat. Something like 25+/25+/25+/0+/25+/30+ physical, 25+/0+/25+/25+/25+/30+ special, 25+/25+/25+/25+/25+/30+ mixed. You can search all natures by entering any non nature text into PokeRNG. You can look for trick room stuff as well using a 0 in speed and sifting through the ones that are too high.
