Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Read the guide on how to get a surfing pikachu from the pokewalker but it's saying that I need a IRNG. What exactly is an IRNG? Is it the rng reporter or is it a different software?

You can check IRNG in the RNGreporter's Researcher option. Just paste your seed in Researcher and select the IRNG radio button and generate.

For Pokewalker RNGing (for nature obviously), you need to add a new column in Researcher. Put 32bit % (modulus) 24 for Custom1 Column before pressing generate.

Hmmm..... Sounds to me learning how to rng on the pokewalker is another story.

I have a question. How do people get flawless shiny spreads when attempting to RNG catch Pokémon? I can never seem to find any...

Well, to be honest with you, I'm not so sure. I'm guessing probably because the players need to know their SID to figure out how to rng a shiny pokemon. =/

EDIT: But I could be wrong.

UUWarrior: PokeRNG allows you to find shiny spreads for your saved game, but to get flawless shiny spreads they have to abuse their ID/SID combo. Use PokeRNG in conjunction with Pandora's Box to do so.

For D/P/Pt, when is your ID & SID determined? Is it like HG/SS where it's between the Prof's last screen and your character changing into a smaller sprite, or is it elsewhere?

Can somebody tell why I am not getting any frame spread results when I click generate with the following seed?:
99110b76
Method J
Sync Nature: Brave
Ability 0
Shiny Yes ID 45695 39439
IVs: 28/31/28/30/30/0

I find this really odd since the PokéRNG gave me other results but not as good as this one but the others do show me the frame spreads i need to advance!
Ex: 12080add IVs: 31/30/31/30/29/17

However when I search for the seed in seed finder, it is the first one to show :/ any ideas?

On the main screen where you put your info, you have to clear the shiny only box and all of the IV slots.

The spread apparently is not available with method J. PokeRNG tells you where it says something like synch: none. If it is available, it will have a number there. Not all method 1 spreads are available as method J spreads. It's not very common, but it happens.

In Platinum, Ive been trying to use the B7080267 seed to rng an eevee. Ive gotten this seed to work like 3 times in the past, and Ive gotten other seeds to work as well, but going about it this time, the coin flips dont even mathup to any delays. Ive checked everything and the date, time, second, year, etc all seem right. Ive even tried changing the months and years but the coin flips wont match up anymore, and I know I cant be messing up that bad with my delays.

Instead of using coin flips to find your adjacent delays, use a caught pokemon's stats or IVs in the Seed Finder window to find your adjacent delay. I've had my coin flips not match up for adjacent delays so many times now that I seldom bother looking at coin flips for anything but matching the target delay. And I've even had coin flips not match the target delays. So I tend to use Seed Finder when doing DPPt RNG. I use it whenever I'm in doubt about any RNG on any of the games, actually.

Is there any way I can do that without having to waste rare candies? In the case that I hit my delay and find out the hard way. I forgot if flying alters your delay or frame or anything.

Can anyone help me to understand Method 1 RNG in HG/SS (for Raikou, Entei, and Latios)? I know I have to use RadioSeed to figure out what I hit, but I could really use a tutor to ask questions to. Could someone please PM/VM me if they can help me RNG method 1?

Another quick question: If I Method 1 RNG Latios, and then I Method 1 RNG Raikou before catching Latios, will my Latios be reset or will he stay?

Just trying to be clear: I use Seed to Time when I don't get coin flip matches on any adjacent delays. Usually, the target delay will have matching coin flips. So I never run off or fly anywhere if I do get a match with the target. However, if you don't land on your target, frames don't matter, so you just fly off to a place that has level 50 pokemon and catch a pokemon with the best ball you have and use Seed Finder. You can confirm your adjacent delay doing this and at least be able to adjust Pikatimer.

But you still need to check your coin flips for the target pokemon before you go off to catch a pokemon. You don't go off to catch a pokemon if you're on target. You do your frame advancements if you're on target. This is just common sense. If you're certain you did not land on target, then Seed Finder is your best bet to find what delay you are on when coin flips are being weird.

So in your case you can get a close delay but still not get a corresponding coin flip? I just tried it and my delay was 4 off from my target but my coin flip didnt match anything. im pretty sure im within the time limit i set up for the coin flip search.

Yeah, that's the case. There are days when RNG Reporter does not list the coin flips I actually get and when that happens, I use Seed Finder. I have caught more than half of my DPPt pokes using seed finder to find my adjacent delays. Edit: But be warned, there was one time when the adjacents had matching coin flips but the target did not. In that case, when I discovered I was on target but the coin flips on RNG Reporter weren't matching, I made a note of the real coin flips so I could spot them and not ruin my chances.

alright cool, thanks

edit: new problem. Im finding out my delays through seed finding, but my frames arent matching up now. Im in the time finder finding adjacent results for the IVs that I want and the IVs of my hatched eevee dont match any of the IV sets under the delay that I got. Im searching frames between 0-10 since there's no way my frame can be any higher or lower than that since im not doing journal flips and im just button-mashing through the continue screen and egg retrieval (this is how it's been working for me).

Okay, so I'm trying to RNG a flawless ditto in HGSS in route 47 I believe (the one that leads to the safari zone).

I found a seed/delay on RNG reporter (going to be using sweet scent so this would be Method J, correct?). The encounter slot says 2, which in the area would be a ditto according to the slot lists.

That is all I need to know, right? From here, all I need to do is hit the delay, advance the frames, and catch him or is there more that I should be aware of?

You should know how much sweet scenting advances the frame in your particular cartridge. For some it's +1 and for others its +2. Always be on your bike.

Other than that, I think you're good to go :) Good luck ^^

Okay, I need some basic help on RNG captures. (i can RNG hatching no problem [ for IVs and Shinyness] ). What Method do I use, how do i figure out what frame i'm on?
