Is reviving Fossils in SoulSilver considered Method K as well?

I was trying to RNG breed in Emerald, and the spread I got turned out to be one of alternate mode's. This means I should try to look for a new spread that uses alternate mode, since it usually sticks around awhile, right?
Yes, all encounters with non-roamers are method K.Sudowoodo in HGSS is Method K, right?
Really? I was under the understanding that alternate mode was something that just sometimes happens when breeding, much like split spreads, but that the game tends to keep giving alternate mode spreads for a longer period of time (for more RNG attempts) than it does for split spreads. Some Pokémon in Emerald can be only alternate. When one does then you have to find an alternate spread.
I don't know what you mean with 'usually sticks around awhile', but it's just the Pokémon.

I'm trying to breed a Wynaut (parent A = Ditto, parent B = Wobbuffet with Lax Incense).Alright, thanks. :)
Yeah, I've heard it could differ from save game which Pokémon are Alternate and which are not. For example when I try to breed Clefable, it's always Alternate. I've got the same with Clamperl and a few others. (I guess Wigglytuff and Chansey also but I'm not sure.) Which Pokémon are you trying to breed?
Lol, you're no closer than you were after your first attempt :/ that's what makes wondercards so frustrating. I'll be going for an Adamant/Timid one on my new HG as those are the only two I haven't gotten. I did Celebi and hit my delay 50 different times and never saw Modest or Timid. I gave up lol.I didn't quite get the Timid Mew I was looking for yet (still no luck RNGing today, after 5-10 attempts), but I did find something interesting.
The first nature ended up being Brave, then Hasty, and so on until I noticed that I RNG'd an Adamant Mew. At this point I was thinking it wouldn't be bad to have one, but I was really aiming for Timid. The very next RNG turned out to be a Jolly Mew, and I already had a hexflawless Jolly one with me, so no need for another. The next RNG ended up being a Modest one, and I was beginning to think that perhaps the natures are in some sort of order, and that Timid was next, since the order appeared as attack (Adamant), then speed (Jolly), then special attack (Modest). Unfortunately this isn't the case, because my next RNG Mew ended up being Lonely.
I must be getting close, or certainly hope so, anyway.

I was joking, I know it doesn't increase or decrease your chances at all, but what I know is that if I have, say, a 1/32 chance (I don't know the exact odds), I'll at least know how far I've gotten. Truthfully, I think if you want to get the nature you really want, the average chances of you getting that nature are 1/60 or so, at least it seems that way (after reading posts from other users and how long it took them, I've estimated that it should take around 60 RNGs typically). And this isn't just the Mew, it's any WC Poke.
I'm putting a certain amount of time into the Timid Mew each and every day, and I know that if I'm RNGing it at least 10 times a day, I'm bound to hit it sooner or later.
If you're using a DS with a GBA slot take out the GBA game. If not, I think you have to scroll down the menu or something.
To change from an even to an odd delay there are lots of things you can do.
If you input the next year (i.e. 2010 becomes 2011) in Time Finder, the delay goes down by 1 (i.e. 704 becomes 703).
For larger delays, if on the screen with Continue, etc. you scroll down so that the screen jumps down, and then go back up to Continue and behave as normal that will change the delay you hit from Odd to Even (i.e. 705 becomes 704 or 706). In the ~700 delay this is possible, but you will have to scroll up and down VERY quickly, so it'd probably be easier to just change the year.
I managed to hit my delay on the nature and ability on the egg's shininess; but when i tried to hit my delay on the ivs i didn't get the desired ivs. It says on frame 2, i keep hitting my delay and advancing the frame by 1 since i have no roamers by calling youngster joey once. however when i get the egg and hatch it, it doesn't have the ivs i want. Did an npc advance my frame? how come i can hit the first one with a frame of one?
Many times your starting frame isn't 1 regardless. Try seeing what IV spread you hit and go from there.
In fact, I usually aim for a frame of about 12 so that I can fully verify my seed.
no it wasn't the NPC after you initiate the encounter and have caught, defeated, or ran from the Pokemon, you'll be on the method 1 frame + 6 frames (the 6 frames for the battle itself). So if you got frame 29 as the method 1 frame on RNG reporter after catching swablu, that means you're currently on frame 35 after the battle.Okay, so I'm doing a Swablu catch in the north part of Route 210, and there is 1 NPC I can't stop from being able to advance my frame, so I can't really check what seed I have with the coin flip.
So my question is, I am attempting at determining my seed by capturing a Poke and with a non-sync. But when it does, it says method 1 frame... blah blah blah. Does that mean the frame that it says is what frame I was on? So if it said frame 29, does that mean that the 1 NPC advanced my frame 27 times (I used sweet scent)?

Frame 1 when it comes to the nature, shininess, gender and ability of the pokemon refers to the IRNG frame. This only deals with Eggs. To advance this by 1, you must receive an egg, or turn down an egg.
Frame 1 when resetting for IVs refers to the PRNG (normal) for the game. This is the one which you advance by calling Elm / Joey / Radio, etc.
It would be a better idea to use a frame of ~10 or so for this bit, especially if you don't have roamers. You can use the first say 5 calls to ensure that you have indeed landed on the correct seed, advance 4 more times, and the next poke will be the Frame 10 IVs.
As an example. If you find the IVs you want on frame 9, and your seed had the first 5 Elm calls:
P K K P E
You would hit your seed the standard way, and make 5 calls (if they match up with the above, happy days, you've (most likely) hit your seed).
Then, make 3 more calls (8 in total).
So now say:
P K K P E E P P {K}
Where {K} is the call response on the frame you want the IVs from. But DO NOT make the call for {K}. Exit Pokegear, and as quickly as possible take the egg from the man. This should now have the IVs from frame 9.
Hope that made sense.
so when i verify me seed, i also advance the frame right? and when i get the egg, i advance the frame by 1?
is it possible to RNG in saphire?
I believe what they're trying to say is that there are 2 separate generators:
The first (IRNG) controls the shinyness/nature and is advanced when you pick up the egg. This DOES NOT advance as you verify your seed.
The seconds (PRNG) controls the IVs. It is advanced when you call, use the radio, move, etc. This DOES advance as you verify your seed.
The frames of the two generators are unrelated to each other. In other words, advancing one does not advance the other. When you pick up the egg, the IRNG is advanced, the PRNG may or may not, but it is inconsequential as it occurs after the IVs are generated.
Make sense?
