What is the name of the berry that takes 10 speed EVs away from your poke? Also can you still use these after attaining the effort ribbon? thanks!

@deli 1-Tamato and you probably know this but if you have over 100 evs in that stat the first 1 will drop it to 100. 2-Yes you can use it after getting the ribbon but i don't think they tell you if you max your evs again. And you're welcome.

@ More Cowbell: Look up Marriland Team Builder (DP) in google, which might help. Failing that, I use Serebii's type chart.

@above: They don't tell you if you max EVs again. Once something has the ribbon, it can not do anything with the ribbon person.

Atheno, that's what I do most of the time, but I once heard someone on Smogon saying that there is a place where you can check out what Pokémon are hit for SE by, let's say, a LO Latios set. Anybody enlighten me?

Now, this may be a noob answer, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't exist...

That's something you kinda should know.... Like you should know what hits what hard.

I am actually embarassed to ask this. Can Magic Guard Clefable be confused with Confuse Ray / Teeter Dance? or does it just avoid damage?

What are some good counters to a core consisting of Scarf Scizor and Scarf Flygon (Adamant with Stone Edge)? What can completely wall this core, and what can easily beat it? Please help me out!

Skarmory and Bronzong both wall it, so you would need a Magnezone. Not much can easily beat it, because they cover each other's weaknesses and can U-Turn out, although I imagine that that is why you picked them. You'd also need to watch out for Spikes damage racking up.

EDIT: @ komodo: It only avoids damage. How embarrassing for a badge. :)

@Komodo: A Pokemon with Magic Guard can be confused & hit itself in confusion, as Magic Guard only protects indirect Damage, & confusion isn't indirect. (I think)

EDIT: Ninja'd...Sort of...

There is no 'anti-Ground-Type' Pokemon. You could try Dugtrio, to prevent escape with Arena Trap, or something like Jolteon @ Hidden Power Weird to surprise switch-ins like Swampert or Flygon. Other examples are things which normally are countered by Ground-types like Metagross @ Grass Knot.

Because the game considers them as 6 Defense Curls. Your Bidoof is not actually at +12, just +6. The game doesn't count in Simple in the count.

Btw Athenodoros, I think the app I am looking for actually doesn't exist, but in that thread you posted, there sure are some handy things. Thanks! :D

Have there been any cases of anyone experiencing any permanent damage as a result of the Pomeg glitch in Emerald?

I could have sworn we had a 3rd gen "Ask a simple question, get a simple answer" thread...

Dragon Dance Dragonite will be a problem if it gets a Dragon Dance and Flygon isn't scarfed.
If you don't have Hidden Power Grass on Zone, Swampert will be a problem. Rotom-H could be an issue, because they generally have HP Ice. If Zone doesn't have HP Ice, Gliscor could be a problem. Also, CeleTran can outpredict Flygon, assuming it is scarfed, to be a problem.

With a core of Flygon and Scizor and Magnezone, what will wall this, and what will threaten it?

I'd think something like donphan or zapdos would wall this easily. Also, scizor and flygon are usually choiced, so it is not hard to wall them after they're locked in. For example DD Gyarados could easily come in on the first two most of the time (minus flygon stone edging which is not common off of the bat).

Also with choiced pokemon, you better have a way of dealing with setup such as SD luc or DD Dragonite to give a few examples. If lucario gets in on scizor's bullet punch, after it SDs your other pokemon are screwed. If DD drag comes in on flygon's EQ, then you really need a way to deal with it.

Flygon is scarfed, so Dragonite won't be a problem. I don't have HP Grass on NY Zone, I have HP Fire. I will have my Scizor be scarfed, so I could probably beat Rotom-H to the punch, unless he is scarfed too. Gliscor could generally wall them, but not do much, seeing that Gliscors carry only Earthquake, and Zone and Scizor are both immune to toxic.
