5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

BTW how will I RNG the dustclouds in caves?
Just like RNGing the usual way? Except that I have to run around and hopefully a dustcloud will appear? And use repels?

Questions...
1. How many IV frames does it advance if I found an item instead?
2. How many IV frames does it advance if I found a Pokemon (Drilbur/Excadrill) this time?

I tried to RNG the larvesta's egg (the one given by the guy in route 18) but I noticed that the initial frame was 4 and not 3. do anybody know why?
I tried to exit to catch a pokemon in the grass and it turned out as if it was at the right frame (that is 23, larvesta came out as if it was in frame 24).
so talking to the guy advances the frame by one? I have this doubt because, when I was calibrating, the ivs I got were all those of frame 4, not 3.

I think ortega and I have the same problem. I thought that speaking to the guy in the house on route 18 advances the frame by 1, but if ortega's thundurus's IVs behave the same way as those of my larvesta, the problem should be something else.

1. How many IV frames does it advance if I found an item instead?
2. How many IV frames does it advance if I found a Pokemon (Drilbur/Excadrill) this time?
1. zero.
2. 120 per second during the battle, as usual.

If I was to start RNGing eggs from the Daycare, would I just have to stand next to the man while he was still holding the egg and pick it up each time I do a reset? Or are the stats on it determined even sooner than that.

Also I'm still a little confused by frames and if they always have to add up precisely to whatever you want. Should I be only looking for a seed that has 3/4 frames (or however many total getting an egg out of the Daycare takes), or am I gonna have to also tally up the amount of steps it takes to make it hatch too?

I've never tweaked Pokemon through RNG before so I'm really new at it. I do somewhat understand how a lot of it works now (more than I used to), there's just a couple things that I could use more clarification on.

Roamer Generation
- Starting Frame is 2* (The speed IV will be put before the SpA IV, shifting them right)

2 questions ^^:

Does this mean, if we target a spread on frame 4 (the minimum for Roamer generation) the IVs listed in "First IVs in Seed" will actually be x,x,x,Atk,Def,Spe,SpAtk,Spd ?

Then like Ortega suggested, we have to hit our Seed inside the house, is this right ? So the process is: hit the seed, make one step to leave the house and then, prey for the best Nature for our roamer. Am I wrong somewhere ?

When using an emulator (save states of course), I can use Method 5 Natures (Theoretical) to get a shiny Poké, right? (using my own ID/SID)

And using the Seed that I use for the IVs for the Natures, or do the natures use an another seed?

It doesn't matter how many times you turn your DS on and off before the first timer runs out? I'm calibrating with my AR now, to check the IV's. I was finding delays that I hit, can very close, adjusted my timer and now I cannot find a single delay >_>

Frame 2 is the minimum for roamer generation.

The IVs come out:
X, HP, Atk, Def, SDef, Speed, SAtk
frames: 2, 3, 4, 7, 5, 6

Hitting your seed inside the house gives you reasonable control over your nature. You don't just have to pray for the best nature. If you hit the same seed, walk out the door, then mash A at a reasonably consistent speed to get through the text, you'll most likely get the same nature each time. If that's not the nature you wanted, save one time before exiting the house, and see what that gives you. Repeat till you get the nature you want (even in the ball you want).

I'm assuming no since people with the old DS models have to turn it off completely and then insert the AR cartriges before the first timer runs out. I've been going through the same problems of hitting my delays that are 1 away from my target with the DSi. The best DS for me for 4th gen turns out to be a nightmare for me in 5th gen. Most of the time I find myself 100's of delays off with the AR.

I just got a delay that was +1 of the one I should hit. I kept the same values in my timer, and then I tried again. I can't hit anything now!? What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you're doing something inconsistently. Maybe from the frustration you're not starting off the timer consistently. It's been happening to me the whole week. Now that I'm relaxed I'm at least 30 away from my delays.

My question: If my target's frame 14, I need to get to frame 13 and then encounter right? I start at frame 3 and with 256 steps (128x2) with 5 pokemon will get me there right?

Ah, I'll try again in an hour or so then. :P

And you need to advance to frame 14. B/W isn't the same as 4th gen. I did the same with my Cobalion, it was on frame 7 and I had 4 Pokémon in my party, and with 128 steps, that advanced my frame with 4 with took me to frame 7.

i found a girl in Accumula town that plays rock paper scissors with you (fire water grass) is it possible that we research the type that she picks to relate to our seed?

Thanks for the clarification about the IVs and nature :).
But, are you sure about the frame ? I mean, we have to add the C gear frame to the Initial one, or something like that, so isn't the minimum frame we can reach is 4, or maybe 5 ?

Hey, I'm RNGing eggs,
Well, I hit my target time and delay, and caught a level 8 blitzel, searched for its ivs, no results, so I've gone to the battle subway to get more accurate ivs, does doing this mess anything up?

Edit: Still, no matching IVS, WTF!

try widening the delay range.

i heard that using a synchronizer makes the nature i want every other frame. out of curiosity, would it be the odd or even frame?

Your main problem is you are trying to verify that you hit your seed incorrectly. When breeding you would start on frame 8 non C-gear and I think frame 10 with C-gear. If you go out and catch a Blitzle and you don't advance your frame at all then you would be looking at the IVs that land on frames 1-6 not frames 8-13 or 10-15. That is why you are getting no results.

So, I think I get what you are saying.
My target frame is 17, so I hit my time and delay, advance the frame form 10-17 AND catch a wild Pokemon at the end of it?
Then do I go get the egg, save the game, then hatch it?

o_O

No.

You still hit the seed and advance the frame. Catching the wild pokemon was only to get yourself calibrated. That's why it was mentioned, you need a way to know you're still hitting what you're supposed to. You don't do both.

To the second problem, only 3 IVs are taken from the IVRNG, so you're not going to find a match. The other 3 come from the parents.

Ok I want to know if I got things right before I hit my seed and fail the frames epically >_>.

14-3-1+1

14 (Target)-3 (Starting C-gear)-1 (initial for standing Volcarona)+1= 11 advances required.

So if I'm starting already at 3, with 4 pokemon in my party I walk 256 steps (2x128). Will this get me my desired target IV's at 11 advances?

The 3 in that formula took care of that. You need 11 advances which is difficult. You're only getting 8.
