Just so you know, I'm still working on the sea epic. Please bear a little longer with me!
EDIT: Here's what I have so far. The most up to date on is the first one. Got the basic outline done. Just need colors and detail. That means spikes. Lots and lots of spikes.
Ok, a couple things. 1.) There is WAY too much white space still visible. We want these to feel MASSIVE so they should use as much white space as possible. 2.) It was kind of hard to tell on your sketch but does this guy only have front limbs? Because right now he kind of looks like a big ghost...
Would this work for the baby fire rat?
Wow! That was quick! It is too one sided and the shading makes him look kind of flat... also it would be cool if maybe there was some way to differentiate him from the adult besides just his size. Thanks for the attempt!Oh, yeah. I didn't start flat, but When I added the nose, it started to look like that. Sorry. It will be fixed. :P
Well, I plan to use most of the white space for the detail. I plan to have massive spikes coming out of him, so that will cover up most the empty space. As for the limbs, yeah for now he only has two arms. Should I add like smaller limbs or fins down the body or something?
Spikes will be cool but I still think that the bulk of the body needs to take up more space... it will be what makes it feel massive next to the normal sprites.
EDIT: Yeah, I placed the epics into the encyclopedia and while the Earth Epic, which reaches to all four edges of the 200x200 pixel, looks massive compared to the normal sprites the other two do not. They are bigger just because of their larger allowed canvas size but they do not feel epically huge like we are looking for. At least you have not gotten too far in yours yet.BUMP

EDIT: Looking at the battle spite encyclopedia, I notice that we are lacking in Metal Sprites. I have a Metal Wolf concept from awhile back that I neve showed you guys because we also had a Ice Wolf at the time. Is there any other dog-like (Or cat-like, for that matter, as it could function as both) creature I could adapt it to, as it could help to fill the Encyclopedia. Before you jump to something else I have one question...
Whats going on here? lol. The body/legs look fine but the head is impossible for me to tell what I am looking at...
The head is composed of the following:
*Gray Area-Horns that will eventually grow out to the tentacles/whatever of the evolved form.
*Green+Brown Area- cowlick resembling the headpiece the Adult has.
*Brown Area- its actual face, covered by thick hair. The hair recedes a bit as it evolves, up to the point to where the eyes can be seen directly.
If it is too complicated, I can always cut out the horns. +)
Just tell me when I have permission to move onto the new Hyena sprite.well, it took TOO LONG, but its finaly done.

This project is based on you guys. I love hanging out with you guys and making sprites but if no one is contributing then I do not have time to spend on unproductivity... as long as you guys give me a reason to stick around I will gladly continue this project here. Thanks to those of you who seem to care! :)

If you are in the mood to redo some sprites I would love to see what else you could take a crack at. I have some I would probably like to see you makeover more than others but I don't want to stifle your creativity so play around with whatever you want. OR you could try and fill some of the empty slots in the encyclopedia, lol. Whatever works for you!
@Everyone - This weekend I am going to put a bunch of work into this and update everything I have and get a list going of everything that needs to be done. Hopefully more organization will help us at least wrap up this portion of the project. Of course once battle sprites are done we still have Over World sprites to do and naming and stuff to figure out.which one did you want me to redo?HEY HEY HEY

What am I looking at? An overworld sprite for the electric tadpole?It's a battle sprite.... too small..... sorry. A redo will be in order if you like. I guess I'll work on the atomic blackbird now that I have a basic concept for it. :)
