In a double battle, if i have Roserade and Salamence, can I make Roserade jump in mence and "ride it"?

And is sleep powder and twister/whirlwind be a good combo (as a damage-less attack that makes the sleep powder hit both of the foe pokes?

And could a protect serve as protection for both pokes in a double battle (if one is on the other or if one is big enough) and protects both for the round using the energy that would require to ressist both attacks (and logicly the protected poke wouldn't attack since there's an invisible wall infront of him, but could do something else like heal or boost), since this could be a nice strategy in doubles

In a double battle, if i have Roserade and Salamence, can I make Roserade jump in mence and "ride it"? Probably not, but who knows. Ref discretion, but I wouldn't allow it, and if I did, it would mean that any attack aimed at one of them would automatically hit both.

And is sleep powder and twister/whirlwind be a good combo (as a damage-less attack that makes the sleep powder hit both of the foe pokes? Probably not, because the force of the twister/whirlwind would disperse the Sleep Powder too much to have an effect. If it did function, it would inflict one-action sleep at best and fail afterwards.

And could a protect serve as protection for both pokes in a double battle (if one is on the other or if one is big enough) and protects both for the round using the energy that would require to ressist both attacks (and logicly the protected poke wouldn't attack since there's an invisible wall infront of him, but could do something else like heal or boost), since this could be a nice strategy in doubles. No. No matter how "big" you are, Protect only protects one Pokemon in a battle. On top of that, "hiding behind the user" would probably not work, since Protect effectively makes attacks "pass through" the user (see Hi Jump Kick causing damage to the user when the opponent uses Protect).

My counter is now 0, and I have 4 WC.

I have a combo question for my Embirch. Would Bullet Seed+Ember/fire attack (I'm guessing Ember is the most likely candidate to work) be an effective combo attack? I'm thinking if it works the Bullet Seeds would be on fire, making a kind of fire typed mulit-hit attack.

I would normally say no, but the fact that Embirch has a dual STAB with Grass and Fire leads me to believe that these seeds are fire resistant enough to make this viable.

of course this is totally up to the ref, since even this could be pushing it

Ahhh, the dojo. Hmmm...More Combos, do the following work or fail?

  • Sucker Punch + U-Turn
  • Ember + Flamethrower
  • Shadow Punch + Mega Punch
  • Defence Curl + Rollout
  • Iron Head + Outrage
  • Quick Attack + Acrobatics
  • Yawn + Roar
Also, who is willing to ref my battle with Solstice?

Ahhh, the dojo. Hmmm...More Combos, do the following work or fail?

  • Sucker Punch + U-Turn - The two moves are too different to combine.
  • Ember + Flamethrower - This would likely result in a slightly powered up Flamethrower as a result of the Ember.
  • Shadow Punch + Mega Punch - This would give Shadow Punch the power of Mega Punch. On top of that, Shadow Punch's perfect accuracy would override Mega Punch's inaccuracy.
  • Defence Curl + Rollout - This one's obvious. Using them as one action means that the Rollout starts out with the boosted power from Defense Curl.
  • Iron Head + Outrage - Outrage is an uncontrollable attack filled with fury that is impossible to control, so there's no way to combine it with Iron Head.
  • Quick Attack + Acrobatics - I'm not a fan of using weak Quick Attack to give Priority to other moves - that's something that belongs exclusively to Extremespeed IMO.
  • Yawn + Roar - A yawn is normally just a gentle and quiet sound, while the Roar just drowns out the gentle Yawn.
Also, who is willing to ref my battle with Solstice?

I'll ref a brawl (if this is a brawl, if it's a full battle disregard). PM me your mons.

I like this place. Good thing I haven't left yet. =) I'd like to go for another two-turn brawl if anyone's up for it. I'm still going to be using some Grass-types, though it may be my other three ones (Embirch, Deerling, Budew, and Lileep). Err, I'll probably go with Embirch and Battle Armor!

I'd like to a combo or two!

For a Ferroseed: Hone Claws (Spikes?) + Gyro Ball
Emboar: Flame Charge + Flare Blitz

Ferroseed: I wouldn't expect to see the stat boost provided by Hone Claws doing something with Gyro Ball, but in Ferroseed's case, the sharper spikes could boost damage. I'm not sure about using Spikes, it just seems like it would throw out the spikes randomly which might not help anything

Emboar: This would probably just boost the power a bit and bring the speed boost into play

Oh, and before I forget - what if I were to combine the moves Aqua Jet and Mach Punch on my Privatyke? The idea is to try and double the velocity of the punch to increase its force and knockback.

Makes absolute sense. Aqua Jet involves using a jet of water to rush forward toward the target, and Mach Punch involves rushing forward. It'd probably count as both a Water and a Fighting attack, and it'd have +2 Priority. Probably still 4 BP, but a generous ref might bump it up to 6. It'd only get one helping of STAB though.

Woo! GG, Objection, that was a close one! Thanks for reffing SDS.

I'll redeem my two DC for a Lum Berry.

And then I guess I'll seek another two turn brawl.

MK wanders into the dooj (sic), followed by all of his pokemon (because employees can do that). Seeing someone at the store counter, he saunters over there slightly faster than usual, and hands over the Lum Berry. (SOS is approved)

"EMBOAR, OVERHEAT INTO THE SKY! THAT'S 3 APPROVALS!" You all know what that means. MK heads to the cash register, taking three of the tokens he received from customers and unlocking the safe, hand crafted by sensei DarkSlay. From the safe, MK retrieves a circle of bronze with a curious pattern embossed upon it. He holds it up, proud of his first Worker Counter.

My counter is now 1.

Yes Kaxtar, this is how you do an approval.

OK then, I want to know some Twister Comboes (Mainly because I have a soft spot for Wingull).

Let's begin:

Twister + Blizzard : Aiming to create a Stronger more accurate blizzard which effect a large area on the arena, but without a freeze chance.

Twister + Hurricane (Aiming to have both confusion chance and flinch chance).

Would using a twister to push of a rock tomb on you increase damage/let me crush my opponent under the tomb instead

Twister + Ominous Wind - Would this work?

OK then, I want to know some Twister Comboes (Mainly because I have a soft spot for Wingull).

Let's begin:

Twister + Blizzard - Twister definitely wouldn't increase the accuracy of Blizzard. By definition, Blizzard is a very spread out attack while Twister is a very targeted one. This combo probably wouldn't work.

Twister + Hurricane - Depends on the order, but it'd probably have Hurricane's accuracy, power, and confusion chance, combined with Twister's typing and flinch chance.

Twister vs. opposing Rock Tomb - This would have an odd effect, but I imagine that it would allow you to mimic Rock Tomb's effect by hurling said rocks back at the target.

Twister + Ominous Wind - Ghost-type Twister with a Flinch chance as well as the chance for +1 to all stats.

This bumps my counter up to 3, giving me 1 WC.

What would happen in a double battle if one of my pokemon explodes, and the other uses counter in the same action?

Signing up for a 2 turn battle.

I cash in my DC for a TC, from my two-turn brawl loss vs Flora. I also sign up for another two-turn brawl, this time with Vanguard, my Shieldon. And one more question (for now :p), what would be a good type for a fourth poke for my Swablu-Shieldon-Croagunk team?

For your match, Arcanite has a challenge available, so you can play against him when there is a spare ref. As for your question, type synergy does not have as much of an influence in ASB, so it doesn't matter as much. You also don't have any glaring weaknesses, so it shouldn't matter too much. I would just go with whatever you like, although perhaps avoid any more 4x weaknesses, because you already have a lot.1 WC + 2/3

How do we start?

Ok, combo question for my future Blaziken:
Sky Uppercut + Blaze Kick/Hi Jump Kick
This combo is meant to be used in a multiple battle: after Sky Uppercutting an opponent, he uses the momentum of the jump to add power and speed to the kick delivered to the other.

This wouldn't work so well because of the different ways each attack is used: you might as well say that you just get more momentum for every attack by using Sky Uppercut. In addition, if you hit something while jumping then you lose the increased momentum you gained before. However, you could try Hi Jump Kick + Blaze Kick instead, just looking at those moves, because I'd imagine that would give you a very powerful Blaze Kick.
