5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Seed: 3275F66BC80ABBAA
Frame: 95
IVs: 31/31/30/30/30/30
Parent A (Ditto): 31/31/30/30/30/30
Male Bold Munna w/everstone: 31/31/30/30/5/30
Baby: 31/22/30/30/26/30
Time: 1:03:25
Date: 5/27/2011
I searched the seed with a bold everstone nature, but every time I hatch the shiny, it turns out Docile. What can I do to make the hatched shiny bold?

If I had to guess, I'd say that shiny frame does not work with the everstone. Similar to using a sychronizer out in the wild. Some frames can be synchronized while others cannot.

EDIT: Does that shiny frame come up as a Docile nature?

No it comes up as bold with the everstone selected. It comes up bashful without the everstone.

EDIT: I think you're right voodoo. I see Docile on frame 94 and Bold on 95. I've been short a frame.
EDIT 2: It just doesn't work. I'm searching a new seed.

Could use some help with breeding for the first time here. Going for a Modest HP Electric Panpour, so I put in a female Panpour and my male Empoleon in the daycare. I choose a seed with the frame of 8 and choose the Gift Pokemon encounter type, saved infront of the old man, and for the past 10 tries, I don't get the right IVs and I know I had to have atleast hit my seed by now (especially because my keypresses don't involve R/L buttons). Is there anything I'm doing wrong perhaps?

Right after you get the egg, fly to Victory Road and immediately catch a Pokémon. Check its IVs against frame 14 of your seed and the adjacents (if none of them match, try frame 14+n, where n is the number of Pokémon in your party). That will tell you what you hit. Odds are you're just consistently getting the wrong Timer0. Happens to almost everyone at some point.

Yeah but I've never had this much trouble and now I'm at 12 tries with no luck. I even just tried a new seed and even with both, I get an Impish nature, with only 3 good IVs and Hidden Power Fire, which I found wierd since I got that from both seeds. Don't think it's relevant, but I'm not using an Everstone and the Panpour is Japanese.

Make sure if you use international Parents, set it to BW International breeding

and make sure you select the right game(black/white eng/jap) under your parameters

just a couple things that might be the cause

Wait I thought BW International breeding option was in the Main window. I haven't even hit my seed yet, which is 31 / 31 / 31 / 30 / 31 / 31.

So I want to RNG for a shiny Sandile. I don't really care about IVs since I'm just trying this out. I already know how to RNG for stationary legends (standard method). How do I RNG wild shinies from there? Do I just go to Time Finder and put my ID and SID and the max shiny frame and check the box after selecting Wild Pokemon and Standard Seed?

Thanks:)

Ok this is the 8th time I've hit a seed and got only 3 flawless Ivs with Hidden Power Fire from my hatched Pokemon. My spread again is a 31 / 31 / 31 / 30 / 31 / 31 HP Electric seed, on frame 8 and my parameters are all fine, and that's all I'm getting. From what I've been reading, I put the parents in and hit my seed seed. So is there anything more to this I might not be understanding?

:EDIT:

I think I understand now: I saw somewhere that the hatched Pokemon recieves the IVs from the seed, but then the parents overwrite some of the spread with their own IVs, so my 31 / 31 / 31 / 30 / 31 / 31 Ivs are being tampered with. So I need to have practically the same IV'd parents to fix that. Does this all sound about right?

Right. You need both parents to have the same IV spread to guarantee it, or at least three between them and a PID frame that passes the right ones on.

Is one of the parents a Ditto? That could be messing with your frame. You don't need the parents to share IVs, just find a spread that is adjusted to what you need (which may take a while).

It's wierd because I just tried it again and I got all the right IVs. Empoleon was the only one that had the IVs 31 / 31 / 31 / 30 / 31 / 31, so I guess I hit a frame that inherited his IVs?

Anyway, quick question, if Panpour has the Male ratio of 87.5%, would I just look at his 75% ratio?

Hello, I asked here once how to capture perfect IVd shiny roamers, and OmegaDonut said that you have to do it by lots of trials and errors. I have done all kinds of RNG this Gen, but I have no idea what he means by that. Could someone clarify how the process works? And maybe even include some tips which would be helpfull? :p

Another question about the same matter: I heard that maybe some day, it could be possible not only to control the IVFrame, but the PIDFrame as well for roamers and that it will involve the SID and a controlled start of the game. Should I rather wait till this new method comes out, or just get them by trial and error?

Repost

Trial and Error:

1) Try, error.
2) Try, error.
3) Try, error.
4) Try, error.
5) Try, error.
...
n) Try, success.

Get a PID that you want shiny that currently was not. Start new game RNG that PID shiny with new IDs.

why the **** would something be included if it wasn't useable?

For every RNG, the only things that can mess with it are controllable, or NPCs. NPCs that move and are not currently on the screen (but still on the map you are on) will still advance the RNG.

This is just slipping right through my brain. Anyone have a simpler way to put it? I have English White dslite and just want some eggs with good EVs.

The methods that are posted are the simplest explanations known at this time. If someone finds a simpler way of doing (or explaining) it, it'll get posted.

Personally, I went through 2 videos and 3 guides before I had a handle on the basics, but beyond that it's just extending what you've already learnt to new areas.

I've encountered a bug in the 5th Gen Shiny Egg Finder. I want to find a spread for male offspring (I need to breed a parent.) So I chose Gender: Male. However, when I start the search, it reverts back to Any. Here's some screenshots:

That's not a bug. That was deliberate. I kinda figured the fact that it was greyed out made it obvious. (Oh, but I guess I didn't grey it out before you click Generate.)

The code for 5th gen breeding really wasn't set up for gender filtering, and I was under time constraints. I decided to just disable gender filters and go ahead with release, since it's not a major feature.

I have some questions regarding the roamers, what months would be the best for RNGing Tornadus? Should i try RNGing it after Victory Road/before the E4?
I've tried RNGing before, both PIDRNG and regular RNG, so i'll know the fundamentals atleast.

Hello.

First of all, I'd like to thank the people on this forum for having made this guide, RNG is wonderful!

I come with one question, though.

I use standard RNG.
I'm able to RNG wild pokémon and shiny eggs just fine (haven't tried anything else because, sadly, I had caught all my legends way before I came across RNGing...), but sometimes I get some odd behaviour with eggs.

So I find a good shiny eggs seed, proceed to abuse it for a bit, and everything goes great.
But sometimes, if I decide to reuse it, say, the next day, to abuse eggs some more, I stop getting the desired results, no matter how many times I try. I even start getting results that are nowhere in that seed.

I'm pretty sure I'm hitting the right seed, at least theoretically; for wild encounters, I never had a seed fail on me, the first few times I used the same seed for several shiny eggs it always works, and I find it hard to hit a seed wrong 8 consecutive times when you usually get it right.

The "solution" for this is finding another shiny eggs seed, and then abuse successfully it until things start to get weird again.

I had this happen with eggs twice; I never had any problems with wild pokémon, but then again, I don't abuse wild pokémon nearly as much.

Does Timer0 just decide to go crazy like this once in a while or might I actually be doing something wrong?

What do you mean by "I stop getting the desired results?"
You're getting IVs that aren't in your seed or from your parents? Or you're getting the wrong PID frame? If it's the wrong IVs there's no solution to that as the timer0 can't be controlled. If it's the wrong PID frame then maybe your initial frame was different. Your initial PID frame can differ. In my experience it's usually within +3 of what RNG reporter tells you. So if reporter says it's 50, it could be anywhere from 50-53.
