When standard seed wild pokemon RNG, how do I get to the next pokemon? Got my hp ice spread ready, but currently on ferroseed.. Do I need to chatter? I did 1 chatter and it screwed the Ivs up
More info, I'm BF1 in Chargestone cave, and getting a Ferroseed on level 25.
Fixed. =)I have a problem. I search for shiny eggs with my correct SID and TID. But when I copy the seed into the main screen the shiny frame it's not shiny, it's a normal frame. I don't know what the problem is and it's the first time that this happening. =(
Please help. D=
Actually it's because when I opened the RNG reporter I had input a different SID and TID. When I changed it I think that RNG didn't count it as a change, i don't know. Then I closed the reporter, reopened it and everything was ok.how did you fix it? happens to me all the time lol
You just use Chatter or save. Doing those don't have anything to do with the IVRNG, so you must've hit a wrong timer0 last time you tried.
Make sure you find your starting frame, too, so you know how many Chatters to do to find that Pokemon.
Zuzu: Check the adjacent spreads (right click on the HP Ice spread in time finder then choose adjacent spreads frame 1. See if the IVs you keep getting match the adjacent results because if they are, take note of the time/Timer0.
woaska: It's possible but when you use sweet scent there's the possibility that the NPC will move WHILE its sweet scenting, thus advancing your frame by an extra 1-2. I was RNGing a Shiny Throh and the stupid NPC was moving everytime I sweet scented, so I had to use 1-2 chatots less than what I was supposed to so when I sweet scented the NPC would advance it for me, if you understand what I mean. It takes a bit of luck with those NPCs because sometimes they'll move when you don't want them to and sometimes they won't when you need them to.
Edit: While I'm here, is there any guides or tips/pointers for RNGing pokes in shaking grass? Trying to broaden my horizons here...so yeah.
I'm not sure if this applies to eggs or not (don't see why it shouldn't) but change your keypresses to 2 or 3 so you hit more results. Somethimes there are no spreads for the month you want too so just change the month and keep looking. (I've had to go to 2022 once -.-)So I have been having problems with RNG Reporter itself. I am using RNG reporter 9.81, I have done my DS parameters several times and I am sure they are correct. I was attempting to RNG a volcarona, but I missed my PIDRNG by 1 and got the wrong nature. The next day I tried to continue my attempt, using the Volcarona I had with the wrong nature as a parent, when I encountered a problem. The 4th/5th gen shiny egg tab is not working. I no matter what breeding type I select or what settings I put in, it does not generate any seeds. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem. The DPPt and HGSS breeding types both freeze the program when I try to generate, while the BW (which is the one I actually want to use) just tries to find seeds for awhile and returns zero results. No matter how many parent IVs I use, or how unspecific the IVs I want are, It never finds any results. I have also notice that if I try to specify gender, once I hit generate it switches the gender to any and gray's out the box. To fix this I have to change the gender ratio and the box becomes selectable again. I have no idea what is going wrong, I have tried redownloading rng reporter, and redoing my ds parameters, but have had no luck. Please help!

Well that's all I can think of (haven't gotten around to learning how to rng breed yet. gotta catch one more then breed) Sorry and I hope you get your problem fixedJust tried this, did not help. Also I should have mentioned that I have already attempted changing month and year many times. Additionally the program returns no results even when there are no IVs specified. I am fairly certain that is impossible in any month if the program is working correctly.

Get an SS and it'll be much better. In the meantime, check the following
- Enter your ID/SID, then restart rng reporter (known bug)
- Your parents pass down 3 IVs and overwrite 3 of the IVs produced via RNG. So if both your parents have no 31s, and you want an egg with 31 all, it's impossible since 3 of those 31s are going to get overwritten.
- The gender thing, just ignore it. Just pick gender ratio and manually search through the seeds
What is an SS?
Also I am aware how parent IVs are passed down. One of my parents has the exact IVs I want and the other has 3 31s, so that should not be a problem
Additionally as I mentioned the program returns no results no matter how few 31s I specify. Even if I leave all of the target IVs set to none it still returns no results.
The gender thing does not bother me as I don't care about the gender, I just listed it because I thought it might help diagnose the problem.
Thanks, for the help, hope someone will be able to figure out the problem
SS stands for screenshot i.e. an image of your rng reporter screen so we can see what you're doing
And did you enter your ID and SID and then restart rng reporter?
Thanks and I told him that and he said he did -.- maybe on that attempt he didn't or...keypresses son!
and yes bear.
Is that just an example or will it work for shiny eggs (I know this wasn't aimed at me, but I want to start RNG'ing eggs. I do have my SID for my black version but not my white so I was wondering if that would work)Okay, if you do the following two things I think you'll be fine
1. Change your keypresses to 1 or 2 (I always do 1 on shiny eggs and find 5~50 hits depending on my parents/egg)
2. Change the secret ID to "11111" in all 3 places (Main screen, capture screen, shiny egg finder screen) and then completely close out rng reporter and restart it. Make sure when you reopen the program, the SID is "11111" in those spots
It's a bug in the current version where the shiny egg finder will use the SID that it started up with i.e. If you start up the program with 11111, and then change it to anything else, it will still use 11111. You have to close the program and restart it to fix it.
