Today, I started my Sapphire Scramble Challange. I'm already annoyed.
So, I started out the game, went through the opening sequences, received my starter, Mudkip, and promptly named him Swampy. (In hindsight, I should've went with Torchic to make soloing my rival with a LILEEP easier) Anyways, I beat my rival, got the Pokedex and Running Shoes, and then went on to the next route. Here, after I checked on Serebii, I realized I could catch my Ralts. So, after about 25 encounters, I found one, got its health into the yellow... and KOed it with a Critical Mud-Slap. *facepalm*
After another 15 encounters, I found it, brought it down to the red, and caught it. As according to the rules, I nicknamed it Glldtr, and began training it, which actually wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. The fact it didn't learn any attacking moves until Level 6 made it a bit more challenging, but I eventually completed his first objective.
After progressing through the story, I made it to Rustboro, where I caught my next party member, Ninja the Nincada. And his problem is that he is hard to train since he can't do anything in the gym.
After training everyone to a sufficient level, I took on Roxanne. She wasn't too hard. I just let Ninja out the first turn and then switched out for Glldtr, who was 2HKOed by Geodude's Rock Throw. Of course, Swampy managed to easily defeat Geodude, and then spammed Water Gun against Nosepass with the occasional Potion. And with that, I received my Stone Badge, healed at the Center, and prepared for the next leg of my adventure.
