5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Seed: 4D6643B431A80AE1
Target shiny: 517
I start at 481, after 27 chatters, I caught this Timid Mischievous Thundurus http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=504804
After converting the decimal PID (2175166846) from the Pokécheck information back to hexadecimal (81a6697e) I deducted that I hit frame 516. Since I have no possibility of hitting 517, I've decided I would RNG an ID/SID to make frame 516 shiny. Now, I've RNG'ed IDs before, but never for a roamer. Can someone help me out? Since we can't enter PIDs to make shiny yet, I need to know what number I need to enter in Pandora's Box.

If the roamer was caught on frame 516 abuse your id like you normally would for 513 and make sure its say true under starter.

Yes I noticed this too. The seed I'm trying to hit is on 16:08:59 and I kept hitting seeds on 16:09:01. After some thinking I just adjusted the seconds on my Eontimer, normally you would put in 59 seconds but since I am 2 seconds late everytime I put in 57 seconds, after that I hit the right time everytime. Now the only thing left to do is calibrate :)
You don't need a timer for non c-gear RNGing. The DS clock is all you need for timing.

where can I download pikatimer and javaRNG? It says the files cannot be found.
Use EonTimer/PokeRNG instead or wait/ask for someone to upload them again.

I notice when RNGing for eggs, the pid frame advances by 3 for every one second. That's is how i hit my seed, by picking up egg 4 seconds after seeing Pokémon run around in the fenced area. Significant? I'm going to try to repeat this and see if this is consistent.

You should just spam X when you see the weather screen pop up. It's not worth finding out or waiting on Random NPCs.

Sadly, I cannot really mash button (physical limitations) unless you have any tips, so this is much easier. I figured there might be a pattern to the way NPCs move.

What's the lowest possible starting PID for a Roamer? I found a seed with the month February (Which is Summer) but it's raining .-. Does that mean I can't hit frame 603?

What do you mean "it's raining?" The rain from the roamer is unavoidable. As long as there's no rain before the roamer arrives you should be fine.

I've hit frames as low as 500 before and some people claim to have hit frames in the high 400s. To do that you have to make sure the season changes to summer before you save inside house so that there's no season change message when you exit the house.
If there is a season change when you exit the house the lowest you'll be able to hit is about in the low 600s.

I have a frame of 516 I'm going to be hitting very soon after 27 chatters, I've RNGed my ID for it, leggo!

There is rain before the roamer comes, and I made sure there would be no season change message. I just tried changing the season, and in Spring there's no weather, which is weird.

Well, yesterday when I was trying to find my starting frame and I got Jolly Mischievous and I PID%6'd a few frames in the 500s. 532 and 559 both would have Mischievous, but are those frames way too low to be my starting frame when it's raining before Thundurus comes? I didn't take the time to PID%6 anything above 600.

Also, if anyone could show me how to make Researcher PID%6 for me, that would be appreciated since PID%6 manually takes a while. I've seen Kaph's picture, but I don't understand what I should put into researcher.

I think I might have to find a new seed, though >.<

Edit: I think I got Researcher working, so nevermind. The only thing is, it seems to be one frame off. For example, on the main window for Reporter it says that a Jolly frame I PID%6'd manually is frame 532. But on Researcher, it says that frame is 533.

Yep. If you look closely at frame one, you'll see that the PID = 00000000. Frame 2 in researcher = frame 1 in reality.

Oh, I didn't look at frame 1 :P

I think I found my starting frame (532). Here are the results I got so far:

0 Chatters: Jolly, Mischievous - 532
1 Chatter: Mild, Alert to Sounds - 542
2 Chatters: Hardy, Mischievous - 539

These frames are just what I think is most likely, since I can't find any Jolly, Mild, and Hardy frames that are closer together than these ones. Is it normal for the frames to have gaps even though I only did 1 or 2 advancements? Also, how would I go about hitting my target frame, 603? Would I just advance about 50 times and see what frame I hit?

Edit: The seed is 88DC49C9DA1BCBBB if it helps. I can also show snapshots of RNG Reporter or Researcher if that's needed. Thanks in advance :3

Just do 10, 20, and if you get closer add increments of 1.

What IV frame are you shooting for?

13. I've got 4 pokemon with me.I use a max repel, walk in a fixed path, then use a repel, then when the repel wears off I walk 34 steps and do any chatters. Then I walk out the door. Does the IV frame have to be 1?

Hmm, I don't know how it's going to change your RNGing.

I took the liberty of PID%6ing your current results:

0: 400, 532, 560, 761, 837, 879
1: 403, 411, 450, 485, 508, 542, 551, 555, 575, 585, 610, 662, 680, 685, 699, 862
2: 538, 932, 994

I think you were correct.

I hope it doesn't effect anything, but I don't think it will. The only thing is, every 17-20 steps (I think) advances the PID by, 1 Iirc. Something like that.

Thanks. I only PID%6'd the first one, and the rest I just relied on Researcher.

Edit:

20 Chatters: Relaxed, Mischievous - 552
30 Chatters: Hasty, Alert to sounds - 543 or 679 (Which one is more likely? .-.)

This is confusing lol. I did 20 chatters, so how could I have gotten 543 when I did 30? And, if I really didn't hit 543, then how did I hit a much much higher frame even though I advanced only 10 extra times? Does the frame that I hit change even if I do the same amount of PID advancements? I'm going to try 20 again... or maybe I'll just try 40.

Edit 2:

23 Chatters: Careful, Alert to sounds - 545, 564, 581, 667, or 678. I'm hoping it was 564 / 581,and that's what I'm guessing it was, since those two are closest to 552 (Which is what I hit when I did 20 chatters).

Since my target is 603, I'm going to try the 20s and see if I get any closer.
