While that is true, I heard that Omega Donut and co. are working on Entralink PIDs so it may be possible in the future :)

It's already doable, by listening to Chatot pitches to figure out your frame. Of course, you have to be quick about it because the C-Gear does automatic frame advancements every ~1.7 seconds or so. (it's erratic)

Oh, wow, that's awesome! But in RNG Reporter it says that the full seed must be copied for Method PID RNG, even when I change the encounter type to Entralink. Does it still calculate the PIDs correctly?

And, is that what the Chatot column is for in the 9.94? How do we know if the Chatter is a Low, a Mid-Low, a Mid, a Mid-High, or a High? o.O

What are the IVs of your parents and what's your target IV spread? You can increase your search options by going to the parameters tab in the time finder and making the keypresses 3. Then go back to the breeding tab and make your frame range wider (what is it now?).

Male -31/31/31/31/20/20
Female (ditto) -31/31/31/31/31/31

IVs I want: 31/30/31/30/30/31 (HP fire).

The frame is the same as it was when I downloaded the program.

wow I didn't know it. but will it be worth it? I mean, will it be so easy to do that it will be more convenient than just trying randomly\near randomly?
(this is not a critique or an attack of any type, just a question.)

Lol .-.

I'm guessing there's no way to be exact with this stuff, but it should be easy to determine if it's high or low, but Idk about Mid-Low/High... thanks :]

@Reshiram: It may be because your parents don't have any IVs that are 30. Try increasing the frame range and finding a parent with at least 1 30. Btw, to get HP Fire the speed IV has to be 30.

I was using this guide here which orders IVs in HP/Atk/Def/Spd/SpA/SpD. I'll try breeding for a different male then with 30 IVs in either SpA & Spe. Urgh this is frustrating.

Imo, anything is better than trying randomly :P

Oh, I see :P

Yeah, try getting a new parent. And also, if you haven't done so, increase your frame range.

I've heard stories of people taking over a hundred tries to get the right nature. Yes, it would definitely be worth it.

^ It took me 76 tries to get a perfect Timid Celebi in HGSS. The only upside to farming mass Arceus is that I'll be looking for 4/25 odds at first. :/ Fuck natures, seriously. Game needs a nature-changing berry.

But I'm sure I heard something about straight up proper Entralink RNGing being in the latest release. Or maybe it was coming in the next one? I dunno. If we're going by Chatot pitches and the clock ticks continuously, it'd pretty much need a timer function built in to be useful, wouldn't it?

At least knowing it always increments every 1.7 seconds is useful information. You could make your own "map" of your perfect seed if you have the patience. (Do you mean erratic as in 1.65 to 1.75, or erratic as in 1.5 to 1.9?)

Alright, so I only started RNGing a few days ago, and have been following all the tutorial's like anyone that's new to something should do and all that good stuff and I've been practising on Volcarona.

Now I'm trying to get it with 31, -, -, 31, 31, 31 (don't care for att and def since it specialises in Sp-Att and Sp-def mainly) but I've yet to actually encounter it with those exact IV's and I think it's something to do with my Timing and how I'm using EonTimer.

I'm using EonTimer in A/V mode with beeps per second at 1 and at a total of 5 beeps, but I've noticed that it beeps a sixth time when the second timer actually starts as well as a sixth time when it goes to 0:00 during the second timer witch is where I'm getting confued on when to start the game from the DS screen as well as press yes to turn on the C-Gear after pressing the power button for it in-game so could anyone give me a hand with when I'm actually suppose to start the game as well as turn on the C-Gear at all?

I found the pokemon I needed with 30 IVs in SpA and Spe and even with a few perfect stats from Pokecheck. Would using this pokemon as a parent for my own RNGing make it only semi legit?

If you're doing standard abuse, you shouldn't be using the C-Gear or EonTimer at all. If you're doing C-Gear abuse, you should be doing standard abuse because it's so much easier.

The legality of the parents does not affect the legitimacy of the child, unless it has an illegal egg move combination or unreleased DW ability.

Ok cool.

All right, so I did the standard method like you sugested and FINALLY got it to work, however when it did work I had search for nearby shiny frames selected and this is what it show's in the capture tab
capturetab.png

yet the one I encountered was non-shiny and had a Relaxed nature but the IV's were exactly as shown in the screenshot and I'm not sure why this is?

You need to advance the PID frame in order to hit the seed you got.

RNG Help

So I still have the gift Jirachi disk that came with colisseum, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to RNG abuse the Jirachi that comes from that disk? Or if it's even possible...

Thanks.

I know that I'm missing my seed but the strange thing is that I keep hitting the same wrong seed and that I can't find it on the list of possible pokemon on the first window of the RNG reporter.

IVs and nature/shininess/etc. are determined separately in 5th gen, so even if the IVs are right, you will still have to advance the PID frame - notice that it says 102 for "Nearby Shiny." So you need to figure out what PID frame the seed starts on using the main window and then advance it with Chatot.

Wrong thread. Also, it's impossible from what I've heard.

That only shows other frames on the same seed, not other seeds. Are you catching or breeding?
