So you got the right spread, but it wasn't shiny? Are you sure your ID/SID combo allows for that spread to be shiny?Ok... So this is so amazing that this works so well. I've mostly used this just for some shiny eggs, and recently acctually tried to get IV's I wanted on an egg and after about a dozen resets hit the spread I was looking for.
Well, I am currently trying to snag a Shiny Giratina from the Distortion world. My goal was: Shiny, and a lower number of journal flips was more important than stats. I wanted a decent Hidden Power Fire if possible.
I found a spread that fit that bill. Took me forever to hit the right seed [verified with coin flips]. However, when I did my journal flips the Giratina I encountered was not shiny. I used my masterball to catch it, then checked it's stats. It was an otherwise exact match for the seed I thought I was looking for.
My question... Is this a fluke? Does it happen often? Do I need to look for a different seed I can hit? I spent hours on the resetting before I hit the spread once, I don't want to do this again if it's not going to result in my shiny Giratina. Any help would be much, Much appreciated...
Here goes some details:
Trainer: Ringo
ID:18496
SID: 26653
Seed I was aiming for is: 2d1402b7
I used April 8, 2009 from the date range at 20:00.13 delay is 686
The frame I was trying to hit was 199. since it was distortion world I subtracted 23 as I would need to bring the journal up then close it after the page flips. This meant 88 flips to hit the frame I needed.
The actual stats on that frame were:
9 / 16 / 15 / 6 / 27 / 30 -- Hidden Power Fire 69
Please if anyone can offer help or advice I would be so greatful.

From the looks of it, I don't think you get this spread. I double-checked to make sure in PokeRNG. Here's the results:Ok... So this is so amazing that this works so well. Does the Manaphy Egg behaves as the other wondercard pokemon ( RNG fixes IVs but not natures) or as a gift pokemon (RNG fixes nature AND IVs)?
Edit: *facepalms herself* in HGSS

Manaphy is just like a Method 1 Pokemon, so yes, the RNG fixes the nature and IVs.
If you're going for shiny, make sure you transfer it to the game where you don't have the shiny spread and RNG it there. Then transfer it to the file where you have the shiny spread and hatch it there and it will be shiny (not when it hatches, but when you look at the summary it's shiny)! :)
Btw it's the same in HGSS and DPPt. If you don't care about shiny, then it doesn't matter where you RNG it :)
If you hit your spread and it has right IVs and non-shiny, its because you have entered wrong ID/SID. You should check again, if you have hatched shiny eggs before.
So, when I was able to RNG my HP Fire Tangrowth, the Tangela (Parent A) had an everstone since I didn't care for Shinyness on it. I was still able to get the IVs on it though, I just didn't feel like RNGing for the Ability and Nature.
I'm RNGing an HP Ice Chimchar, and I hit my seed, matched the calls and advanced the frame with the Chatot, while Parent A had an everstone. Again I didn't go for Shinyness. The IVs did not match up to what I wanted. What went wrong?
With Tangrowth, I just had a Male Tangela and a Ditto, while with Chimchar I'm using a Female Chimchar and a Male Lucario. I know the IVS match up, but I don't know what went wrong.
Oh ho..Great mind thing alotIn Ruby and Sapphire, how do Feebas encounter slots work? More importantly, if I restart my Ruby and RNG my ID to match, say, frame 17169, will I get a Feebas? I really don't want to go through the game for just a calm shiny Carvahna.
I was trying to RNG breed a pokemon for a friend for the better part of last night. I've successfully done this on numerous occasions for both Shiny and perfect IV pokemon, so I'm not new to the whole thing. But last night I couldn't get it down. I hit the seed for Nature, Ability, Gender and handed the parents over to the Day Care lady, but the egg that it produced wasn't what it should have been. So I changed seeds (thinking that maybe it was because this one was too close to 00:00 or something) and repeated only to get another egg that didn't yield what I wanted.

The target was an Adamant, Ability 1 (No Guard), Male, non-shiny Machop. The first attempt (using this seed) gave me a Hardy Machop. I am using an International (Japanese) Ditto as one of the parents because I am planning to use it's flawless spread for IVs, but the little box for "Ditto Parent" is greyed out and I can't select it. Would this be causing the problem?
The IVs I set out for were 30/31/30/31/31/31, for HP Ice. What I got was 12/26/30/31/31/31. Parent A has 28/31/30/31/31/26, while Parent B has 30/31/30/31/31/31. Parent A was holding an Everstone, but that didn't seem to interfere with my Tangela. Still not sure what went wrong due to the calls matching. My frame was 13, so I matched up the calls and then scrolled through Chatot three times, before grabbing the egg.Withdrawn. I think I was up too late when I thought about this..
Zoap is right, need to know what IVs you got to help.
How do I check that? Unless you mean something like if I was to match P, K, E, E, K, K, E, K, K, (what I actually had to match) and then I started on Kanto instead of Pokerus, which I didn't. I looked back in Time Finder and they don't seem to match anythingDid you check if the Ivs match a higher frame? Wandering NPC movements might be advancing your frame.

Question, why did you scroll through Chatots? Chatots have nearly no meaning in Gen 4.
Firstly, you're adorable.
Secondly, Chatots advance frames in 4th gen games too. n_n
