Their debt comes from the Glaziers' loan to buy the club, not entirely their fault but yeah, still kinda is their fault! Man Utd have spent an awful lot every season, they were the ones breaking transfer record after transfer record for a good while so Man Utd definitely wasn't doing a 'Barcelona' at any stage but they had decent amount of talent coming through. I think at current spending levels most of the top teams aren't going to make financial fair play rules including Man Utd, City, Chelsea, Liverpool; I'm not sure about Tottenham, and I think Newcastle have cleared their wage bill a lot to fall in line.

Man Utd were the richest club in the world till exchange rates >.>
also this: dont see man city reaching anywhere near FFP

Uniteds debt is Glazers debt. wish they would jsut sell up to someone who can pay off the lot TBH

Seems like Arsenal is the only team on that list to cut wage costs, Chelsea seems to have remained stagnant over the period, so well done for them. I had heard they were making progress for FFP.

'Don't let the "big four" fool you, Newcastle are cormfortabely amongst the best in the league. No leaving St. James without bruises. #Fact'

oh yeahhhhhhhh

Kompany implied Newcastle aren't a big 4 club hahahaha

In other news, what are Geordies expecting from the transfer window btw? Will you keep your stars and add a few more? Or will some inevitably leave in big money moves and Newcastle enter the gruelling road of juggling rising stars and establishing consistent top 4 contention? I actually have no idea where Newcastle are at this summer.

CHICKEN ON THE PITCH AT EWOOD PARK!

BBC:

2006:

There is a chicken, draped in a Blackburn Rovers flag, on the Ewood Park pitch.

2007:

No, I'm not making this up. The chicken is running around Ali Al Habsi's penalty area, evading Yakubu's attempts to catch it. I don't think our feathered friend is a fan of the Venky's, do you?

2008:

Yes, I know there will be cries of fowl play but this match is back under way. The chicken was cornered by Ali Al Habsi and Yakubu and the Wigan keeper eventually caught it in his goal net before it was carried off by a steward... hopefully it won't end up as his tea.

BBC Radio 5 live's Robbie Savage at Blackburn v Wigan:
"To be fair I used to be a headless chicken when I played for Blackburn, running around everywhere. Chicken stopped play - hilarious."

2011:

The chicken departs the pitch and Wigan launch their best attack yet, with Franco di Santo running through on goal. He tries to place his shot past Paul Robinson but doesn't get it quite right and the Rovers keeper claws it behind.

2012:

Rovers respond with their first shot of the night. After a near build-up, Anthony Modeste lets fly with a rasping effort from 25 yards that fizzes over the Wigan bar.

Richard J Moir on Twitter: "A chicken causing more problems in Wigan's penalty area than Blackburn probably will."

Matt Flynn on Twitter: "'Cracking' save from Al-Habsi, kept hold of that chicken. Could have had egg on his face there!"

From Max: "The question is... did the chicken cross the line? Do we need to go to a video replay or did the linesman have a clear view? Controversy!"

oh yeahhhhhhhh
Fixed, anyway hahahaha at liverpool dropping into 9th. Everton, the new kings of the mersyside.

blackburn chicken was hilarious hahahaha! it had a flag round it and everything, massive props to the blackburn fan who smuggled the chicken in!

I had forgotten how intense and heated these relegation clashes tend to be.It would be a shame if this one ended goalless........

Edit:There it is!

It's possible.Stoke've got nothin' to play for and they tend to get complacent vs lower opposition.Bolton have to give it their best shot.

Edit:^You laugh at the likelihood of Bolton winning at the Brittania but I'm sure there's a part of you that believes QPR can win at the Etihad lol

Shall I just remind you all we beat Stoke 5-0 earlier in the season. Also, Stoke have only won one in their last ten games, and that was against Wolves...

Bartman do you even watch soccer? Beating Stoke at home is no achievement unless you're Blackburn;they're much stronger at home than away.Bolton obviously stand a chance of beating them as they have more incentive to do so and can take advantage of Stoke's complacent nature towards lower placed opposition.I really want Bolton and Wigan to stay. The rest can go fuck themselves.

Arsenal put Netherlands flag on sleeves in last ditch attempt to keep Van Persie at club.

I'm pretty sad for Blackburn, I hate seeing teams relegated especially after the abuse Kean has been through. I can't help but feel Blackburn fans would be disappointed if they weren't relegated cos now they have the ultimate stick to beat Kean with which is what they wanted all along.

Wigan winning I think is actually good for Bolton. If they didn't then it would be 2 out of 4 teams relegated on the last day and it might not be enough if they win against Stoke. Now it is just between Bolton and QPR and I think Bolton effectively have it in their own hands, if they beat Stoke they stay up imo cos I can't see City not hammering QPR. If they don't beat QPR then it would be possibly the single biggest choke in the history of PL! We may yet see Bartman grace these forums next season afterall - c'mon Bolton, Smogon forum membership on the line here!

Blackburns last game is against Chelsea, so i dont think it would made any differance.
QPR have the fact they need a point. city might try and batter QPR, but they can easily see its QPR, play junk and draw.

Knew this was going to happen when i saw the team sheet. And they complain of lack of game time.........

Nice defending Chelsea. 3-0 down to Liverpool within 30 minutes. All 3 goals there were defensive errors or the defence weren't there. JT having a shocker. He should be setting an example for all the kids Chelsea are playing tonight...
