Now let's win dat CL trophy so we can fulfill abramovich's dream and troll whoever finishes fourth

I always thought you couldn't buy a premier league title. But I guess you can.
gg Swansea. We didn't deserve the title purely on the way we played the last 3 games. Congratulations City.

#Forever United

you always thought you couldn't buy the title and yet you support united?
lord. city have just caught up is all, united have been buying the league for fkn years. so did blackburn. smh. (edit: lol and chelsea how the fuck could i forget)

You'd like that wouldn't you.Bayern are facing a defensive crisis because of Badstuber's suspension and the guy expected to fill in for Alaba sucks from what i heard.Heynckes is going to be forced to play one of his defensive midfielders as a centre back so they're screwed defensively.

Oh and in case you forgot we generally play better away than we do at home, whether in Europe or England.

Edit:What akuchi said.Just because they didn't spend as much as City does not mean they haven't been buying their way to titles year after year.I'd only agree with Badal(and some other grumpy United fans) if they had a youth system that's sprouting talent 24x7 and if all their first XI or most of them were home grown. But they're not.

Edit 2:Guilty as charged :) On the threshold of buying ourselves the CL trophy ^^

Absolutely devastated. We were 2-0 up, well placed penalty from Petrov, leaving keeper no chance, even though Foster guessed the right way. Before that Kevin Davies had spurned 2 great chances, while Eagles had a couple of shots from distance that went close, and N'Gog's header was easily saved.

Then we were in hysterics laughing at the comedy of errors in West Brom's defence. Just after we looked to have missed another chance, they put it in their own net. Then Coyle told them to sit deep and relax. Then they scored a decent goal which we couldn't do much about. He brought Chung-yong lee on, his 1st game back since a broken leg in pre-season, this was the wrong thing to do considering the importance of the game. For the last 10 minutes the number of games we've played recently more than caught up with us, our players were so tired and didn't have the energy to close down any of their players at all. We should've tried to play keep ball, but we couldn't even do that. Then they punished us for our tiredness with the equaliser.

2-2 Full Time from 2-0 up, we had it in the bag then threw it away.

So, all this coupled with QPR's late win means it's 'win or bust' at Stoke next Saturday...

Yeah that's sickening for Bolton, all 4 teams at the bottom are hanging by a thread now. Blackburn need to beat Wigan, and if they do then Wigan are right back in the mix and takes it to the last day.

Also, why will you quit Smogon if Bolton get relegated??

P.S. @The_Chaser, if we get relegated I'll leave these forums, simple as. That's how confident I am that we will stay up. Answer me this too, how are we not better than Wolves, Blackburn and Swansea, eh? And Everton finishing higher than Liverpool? Dude, in your dreams. Stupid Aussies, they know nothing about football...

i would like to remind everybody of this post

Shay Given is a monster. Saved Arsenal's CL hopes lol. Saw these pics on Facebook and couldn't help laughing:

I'd expect Daniel Van Buyten to fill in since he's a centre back, is he injured or something? My understanding is that the people that they have covering are Rafinha, Van Buten and Tymoschuk, but I know very little about bayern and nothing in particular about these 3 or even if they have better people for these positions :/

Van Buyten just returned from injury from what I heard so he'll probably be rusty and all the other backup players for Alaba aren't any good.

it will be someone elses time to buy the title when they can afford to put 113% of thier income on wages.
there is a differance between catching up and buying the title. look at cities finances. 113% of income on wages alone? united are spending the LOWEST % of income on wages. and city can buy whoever they like? that isn't catching up. catching up is building up a team and climbing the table. United winning the treble in 99.. city were in league 1.
QPR need 1 single point to survive. i sence a bus parking coming on

in fairness to Man Utd, they've bought the title a lot less than City and Chelsea. they've produced some of the best talent in England over the last few decades; Giggs, Scholes, Beckham and the Neville brothers and have also produced a great deal of more than capable players who have featured heavily in title-winning sides...Nicky Butt, Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Jonny Evans, Darren Fletcher, Darren Gibson, Danny Welbeck, Kieran Richardson and probably loads more that escape me right now.

of course, man utd's average seasonal spend on transfers since the turn of the century is well over £30 million so you could very easily argue the other way too.

but United have had the income to support the transfers. fergie will probably be needing to spend 90-100 million this window
and united produced most of the current sunderland side :P
