The Legend of Korra (Spoilers ITT)

I agree, what was that all about

I guess they really wanted to include zuko somewhere in here.

I don't mind the voice. It was a little out of place but when you're in command of a fleet of navy ships why would you need a manly voice to prove anything?

It is kinda of funny actually seeing as how the general retains the same voice as a teenager. Aang's and Sooka's voice got changed when they became older reflecting the change of a teenager's voice for an adult's.

Maybe he is a teenager still, he could be Zuko's grandson since Zuko was older than Aang and so his kids and grandkids would be older.

It's unlikely that a teen would be in charge of the whole fleet, but he could just be some military genius or something?

When I saw Iroh, I expected Mark Hamill or Kevin Conroy or whoever voiced Zhao...instead it was Zuko2. I also think Eijango's post is interesting, and Bumi could definitely be Iroh's father. Given that Tenzin is 51 and confirmed as the youngest of Aang's children, if Bumi had reproduced when he was in his 20s, which seems normal in Avatarland, his son would be upwards of 30 now. That, or Bumi is/was a general in the United Forces.

I'm thinking your last thought is the most accurate, he probably was/is a general. The fact that they have similar features (eyebrows) might just be a coincidence, they might of just reused assets or something like that

EDIT: Zuko/Iroh just got alot more badass Atlas

They did a great job of making the air bending look respectable this series. Actually, Ill say it looks pretty bad ass.

Will the season finale be an hour long? I'd hate to see them pack everything into one half-hour episode. Especially after the introduction of a potentially bad ass character, Iroh.

Also, plz exclude the romance from the finale. More pew pew, less snoo snoo.

I found this image quite amusing, though I can't say I respect the character featured in it anymore due to a certain incident in the newest episode.

I hope I'm not the only one who wanted to facepalm when Mako leads Korra into the sewer...

Agreeing that the combat was great and that Iroh's voice was awkward.

So...while Meelo still looks like he has a mild case of retardation with his whole design, he will easily surpass Tenzin as badass airbender.

I agree giving him exactly Zuko's voice was a tad out of place sounding, but still, General Iroh...epic. Otherwise, what it was leading to was a thought I always had in the back of my head, sure Amon is trying to take over a city, but the rest of the fucking world is going to come crashing in on him at some point, regardless of whatever the hell he is, he isn't the Avatar and I highly doubt he wins against opposing armies single-handedly. So I mean unless the equalists are actually taking over worldwide instead of what we've seen centered in Republic City, I can't see him winning ultimately regardless.

Another thing that bugged me is Lin still stupidly wore that metal armor, even well knowing she was going to be defending against equalists with lightning-based weapons; does she really like getting fucking shocked? I mean she must not have as much confidence or skill in her earthbending, screw not damaging the surroundings, it's better than dying or losing...hell at the end, Toph would've sent Amon flying with a giant earth spike if he was standing right behind her instead of just kneeling there waiting for the inevitable, yeesh. So while I do dislike Lin having her bending taken away, the way in which it was done was disappointing to me, as she could have put up a better fight.

But yeah, definitely looking forward to next week's episode, and then whining all summer about the inevitable cliffhanger it will bring until season 2 starts.

well, if you notice, Lin's metal cables seem to be directly built into the armor. Also, if she didn't wear her metal armor, she'd be vulnerable to actual chi-blocking in addition to electric attacks so maybe that's why she stuck to the armor.

I liked the last episode (of course I did, I haven't disliked any of the episodes so far), but I did think it was a little rushed. I wish they'd been able to increase the season run by a few episodes, because there are still a few issues that either need addressing or could have done with a little more fleshing out. I'm thinking specifically of the other councilmembers - they all caved in to Tarrlok suspiciously easily and never seemed to think for themselves despite their positions of authority. It would have been nice to have some time devoted to explaining why none of them tried to oppose Tarrlok (maybe he was blackmailing them?), but it seems unlikely we'll find out now.

Aside from what other people have already said, she was probably in a state of both mental and physical exhaustion when she was captured. Remember that she probably hadn't recovered fully from her injuries from a few episodes ago and moreover that she's been involved in a lot of fighting in recent episodes so she was far from being in the best of conditions.

Lost the source of this one, but it’s a great theory that really makes sense. The illusion Amon creates by blocking the light chakra is the separation between benders and non-benders. Thus, the forgotten truth is, everyone already is equal because everyone posseses the potential to bend, it just needs to be realized again. Makes sense is you think about how the first benders had to learn and develop their abilities or how all the airbenders could bend because of their high spirituality coming from the air nomads’ lifestyle.

Can somone please give me a gif of Pemma wlaking awkwardly out of the room leaving Mako and Asami to talk?
Also, am I the only one who almost punched the screen just to hit Mako when he was sitting by Korra?

Pretty sure Iroh is going to be Zuko's son, because he looks like he could be about Tenzin's age. Sucks Lin got her bending taken away, she was getting to be a pretty neat character!

I wouldn't be TOO surprised if good people that had their bending taken away will have it back at the end of the series
