The tutor sign ups are in two days. If one were to be accepted to have a tutor, where would this take place? Where would the tutoring take place? IRL? Smogon server? Or can tutee choose, or tutor depending which is preferable?
I know that. I apologize for not making it clear. I am wondering if it should count as breaking it if you magic bounce a sleep inducing move back.
So in some number of days (5 I think?) BW2 gets released. I haven't read like anything about them yet, but I'm pretty sure Keldeo and Meloetta are getting released...
If Meloetta uses Relic Song as you switch in a Ghost type, it won't do any damage, obviously. But would Meloetta still change forms? In essence, can Meloetta be "formblocked"?
I'm interested in studying the play of really good players. Is there an archive of replays of tournament games or games by skilled players?
I was breeding litwicks until I got one with 31/0/20/31/19/31 IVs. The problem is, it's Brave, has Flame Body, and is female... If I put an everstone on a modest male litwick and Power Anklet on this one, would it be possible to get a Modest one with similar IV's?
Also, I'm not entirely sure if those 3 stats are even 31. Sp. Atk. is 31 for sure, since I bred it off of a 31 Sp. Atk IV ditto with a Power Lens, and when I went to the subway guy he said my Sp. Atk is great, HP is equally good, and speed is also good, and that it's the best it can be. Does that mean all three are 31?
0~15 - Rather Decent
16~25 - Very Good
26~30 - Fantastic
31 - Can't Be Better
It's possible for all three to be 31. Although the way it's worded doesn't necessarily mean they are 31. I'd actually use an IV Calculator to be a better determinant.
If he said "It can't be better" then it means that there is a 31 IV, as far as I can recall he doesn't say "great".
It learns Giga Drain, both through TM in Gen 4 and Dream World in Gen 5. If you think you found an error, I believe the proper place to report that is here.I thought found an error in an onsite article here, in that the Tentacruel analysis shows Giga Drain as an option without it being present in its Moves article, and the Giga Drain page doesn't say Tentacruel is capable of learning it.
However, in Gen. IV, Giga Drain was a TM learnable by Tentacruel. A Tentacruel transferred to Gen. V could thus legally have the move, but it doesn't show up anywhere in the analysis. Is there an error here, or is it me who don't know the formatting?
In the UU forum, the "Stage N" discusson thread has the prefix "np:" - what does that stand for?
And what are the current procedures for banning things from OU, UU, and RU?
I have a question on what moveset would be acceptable for a physical Serperior.
I was thinking:
-Leaf Blade
-Dragon Tail/Return/Aerial Ace
-Coil/Swords Dance
-Substitute
I have no clue which second physical move I should go with :( Dragon Tail can let me (possibly) get rid of a threat to allow me to set up a bit more, but it's a weak move. Return is meh, and so is Aerial Ace (takes out Bugs I guess). As for the ATK boosting move, I either can get a +1 for three stats and hide behind a Substitute a little longer or a +2 on just a single one. Also, I don't want to use Leech Seed/Toxic for stalling so please don't bring those up ^^;
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! :D
Also, this would be for in-game only (i.e. Battle Subway)
Edit: Also does anybody happen to know if B&W2 will offer new moves (excluding those for legendaries) and/or increase movepools for Pokemon?
I've seen Smogon's recommendations, and I use them quite a bit. However in this case I wasn't pleased with what I saw because I don't play competitively online (my DS refuses to connect to Wi-Fi).In regards to your first question, the only Serperior set that so far has been deemed worthy of an onsite analysis featuring either Coil or Swords Dance is the Coil Set in the NU analysis. If you're interested, you can find it here, along with the rest of the recommended sets: http://www.smogon.com/bw/pokemon/serperior/nu
In regards to the second, we don't know yet. We'll find out in a few days when the games come out though.
Thanks for the assistance, care to justify your reasons?Ok, let's take a look at this shall we? First off, I suggest a Sableye lead for you because it disrupts teams to the point of sheer annoyance. I also think you should use Choice Scarf Hydregion as it makes a great revenge killer with it's wide variety of moves. Hope this helped.

Thanks, completely forgot about TTar...Kick out Houndoom for Darkrai as they play really similar, but Darkrai is just much much more powerful and not SR weak.
I would also think about including TTar, because its the second best dark Type in the Game right after Darkrai, i would suggest using it over Weavile and would advise using Scarf or DD TTar.
Thanks for the info... but seeing as my Mono-type is mainly based off favorites rather than competitive battles ive made up my mind. heres what im using:Ideally, if you want to run a monotype, quite personally I would include pokemon that handled what I was weak too. For example, Sableye with Priority Will-o-wisp is an excellent check to fighting pokemon like Terrakion which will try and sweep you with Close Combat. Spiritomb also works although I prefer Sableye due to Prankster.
Krow is good on your team since its flying stab also hits fighting types. I don't actually like it too much but I guess it has its pros and cons.
Run Darkrai over Houndoom. As someone pointed out, both tend to run Nasty Plot sets, and Darkrai is much better at it so its the superior choice.
For your last three slots, I personally would run Scarf Hydreigon and Tyranitar is also an excellent option since it gives you Stealth Rock (which is a really nice move to have), Sandstorm which is nice for the residual damage, and generally hits damn hard. You might be better off dropping Weavile and Sharpedo for this, and I personally would consider running a Barbiri Berry on Tyranitar, with a bit of speed investment + Flamethrower to lure in and KO any Scizor that might try and BP / U-Turn you (which currently looks tricky for you to handle). You could also run Chople Berry on something like DD Scrafty to survive that fighting attack (tho its really only good for Scarf Terrakion and then stuff like Lucario, Infernape or Virizion). Just make sure you have your weaknesses covered!
tl:dr
Try Prankster Sableye / Tyranitar / NP Darkrai / Scarf Hydreigon / DD Scrafty / Moxie Hounchkrow
