The Legend of Korra (Spoilers ITT)

I think giving back their bending it's a bit too easy, I mean, giving everyone their bending back with something magical or anything else sounds a bit to easy, what I would love to see is Lin going into some kind of trip to get her bending back (if we can get her speaking with her mother the way Aang did with the other avatars that would be just epic), something to re-discover her own abilities and maybe reconnect with earthbending, then the others could now

That's a really great idea about her going to get the bending back through rediscovery, but it doesn't make the most sense. When Amon takes someone's bending away, it seems alot more like he disconnects them then makes them forget.

I'd still be sad none of Lin's officers would have their bending back either, it was dishearteneing to see the poor guys having just accepted their fate.
 
So I'm wondering how Korra is going to take down Amon for good. In A:TLA the huge issue was that Aang was uncomfortable with killing Ozai to end the war, but he got around it by taking his bending away instead. That worked because the only reason Ozai was a threat was because he was arguably the most powerful fire bender. But with Amon, he's not a bender (at least, not to our knowledge). Even if they lock him up, he'll still have all his "powers." But killing him would send a bad message given how delicate the situation is between benders and nonbenders

For the finale though, I just want to see some really awesome bending. From the preview, it looks like Korra does that water tornado thing that Paku did in TLA. And Team Avatar finally has someone who can bend lightning. Mako can generate and redirect lightning; I want to see him pull an Azula-like electrical storm out of his ass, like actually go through the traditional motions that Azula and Iroh did :x


EDIT: my reaction to seeing General Iroh then hearing Dante Bosco's voice is pretty much how i would react if i saw Brad Pitt and he had Ross Matthews' voice when he opened his mouth. totally doesn't fit AT ALL

Iroh looks more two be in his twenties or thirties to me. I'm guessing he's Zuko's grandson. Zuko's voice just doesn't seem right for Iroh, but that's mainly because we know who that voice really belongs to. It's like hearing your sister suddenly speak with your mother's voice instead.
 
so yeah lin got her bending taken away and i'm not sure what to do with my feelings anymore

i'm just gonna go sit in a corner and think about life until the next episode airs.
 
Okay finally everything will be revealed next week.

The preview they aired last week clearly said the 23rd, and I doubt they would change that given all the hype.

So hopefully the second clip comes after a breakup with Asami cuz otherwise lol
 
Am I the only one who loves how in the opening sequence it's the previous incarnations of Korra, bending their respective elements? That's so bad ass. Can't wait for the finale.
 
Well he did look too young to be a direct son...I guess someone knocked up Zuko's daughter quickly or he's younger than he looks.
 
Am I the only one that actually likes general Iroh's voice? It sounded... Confident... Really fit his lines imo...

Interestingly, Zuko's voice actor was probably my least favorite in the original series do to some of his line deliveries sounding cheesier then anything. At least to me...

Probably, I pulled back in horror whenever he spoke.
 
I finished The Last Airbender yesterday and I started on Korra this morning.

All I have to say is that the music is really fucking amazing.
