Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

If I RNG an egg on Emerald using my ID/SID from FireRed, will the egg hatch shiny if I trade it to that file? Or is the Egg RNG different between the games?

If it doesn't, will Nature/IV's still be the same?

The egg would hatch shiny on the other file yes. IVs are determined when the egg is taken so while PID is when the egg is generated... take a guess.

How exactly was trading involved in the RNG process? I'm not quite sure what happened.

Regardless, breeding is much easier in HGSS so you should do it there instead if possible.

I've done the right number or poketch taps but then I realised that the parent was in my second game (HG) and I traded it to my Diamond where I did the poketch taps.
After the trade I just put the parents in the day care but the egg wasn't matching the data shown in the RNG reporter.
(not shiny,other nature,etc.)

I got also a second question-how can I check if my pokemons are legit?
I got yesterday some pokemons from a bigger trade but 1 is kinda "scaring me" (near flawless Darkrai shiny with good nature).
I believe my mate who said that the darkrai is legit but if he also got it from trade then maybe we both don't know if he is hacked or not-and if I would ever try to fight in the Uber Tier then I don't want to send out a hacked pokemon. :P

Thanks in advance for all help. :)

Ps.I first want to learn hitting the right delay and time on Platinum (I finally want to learn how to breed shiny flawless lol xD).
Then I will start learning how to breed shiny in HG.
I breed in Diamond for over a year right now so I am kinda used to breed pokemon there.

Edit:I used a second DS so I didn't close the Diamond. (I traded via union room)

When I try to RNG abuse in HG on my DSi I'm off from my target delay by at least 100. I can eventually hit my target delay by updating Eontimer but I would like it to be as easy as it was on my DS. Are there any tricks or changes I should do when RNG abusing on a DSi?

You should probably start the process over completely after trading, I'm not sure how it affects the RNG but it probably messes something up. But I still recommend doing it on HG instead, it's much easier and there's no benefit to doing it in DPPt.

To check legality, uploading it to Pokécheck is your best bet.

Trying to RNG a Flawless Modest Dialga in Diamond. Trying to hit a Delay of 637 normally I hit even delays on Diamond so I put my Fire Red in to hit Odds.

1st try crappy timing (dang Eon Timer) I hit 641. Odd. Good.
2nd try good timing and I hit 638? WTH?
3rd try good timing and I hit 636? WTH?

I can RNG B/W and HG so timing shouldn't be the problem anyone know what im doing wrong here? How can I hit odd and even delays with my Fire Red in?

Remove Fire Red and just change the year +/- 1. Like if you're currently trying to RNG in the year 2012, change it to 2011 or 2013; you should now be able to hit your delay. Only do this on your DS though, keep everything how it is in the reporter.

I'll try that thanks

Also, I've heard that D/P can switch between odd/even randomly, so you're just going to have to deal with it and keep readjusting when it happens.

Ok,thanks for info. :)

I already checked the Darkrai-I didn't need to upload it-it was already there. xD
It seems legit-RNGed for IV but not hacked.

And about RNG breeding in HG-I will read some guides about it and I will pm you if I would have any problems (if I can ofc xD).

What benefits or reasons are there to do rng abuse in generation III if I don't have any events (Wish Chansey)? Could you name a specific example in your explanation? Is it possible without roms or action replay? Finally, is it worth the trouble?

Shiny Mew (JPN only)/Deoxys, exclusive move tutors (Body Slam, Counter, Double-Edge, DynamicPunch, Mimic, Seismic Toss, and Selfdestruct [XD] are the notable ones), and level 45 Groudon/Kyogre in R/S pretty much covers it, I think. Everything relevant except Selfdestruct Mewtwo is doable on retail (though getting good shiny spreads for Mew/Deoxys is difficult without an emulator for SID abuse). Whether it's worth it depends on whether you need any of that, though if you trade they're probably worth a lot.

I can vouch for this. It's very annoying. If possible, I recommend Platinum, or better yet, HG/SS.

Here are 2 lists on that:

The Battle Frontier in Emerald is probably the best reason. This is the only part of the game with any real challenge. Also, if you do link battles then it might give you an advantage to have pokemon with higher stats.

It is possible without ROMs or Action Replay, its just that doing it on an emulator makes it easier when aiming for a high frame because you can save states. Instead of waiting 5 minutes, you save the state at 00:04:50 and only have to wait 10 seconds to hit the frame.

Okay so I want to do a Chained Shiny RNG Abuse- The Red Gyarados.
I would like to know, that do I need to input my ID/SID while searching for a spread under the Chained Shiny Tab of RNG Reporter?

Frame

Hello ! I started with RNG just today, and i need some help with the frames.
I seem to be going good with the delay and the seconds, however when it comes to the frame, i can't seem to get it right.
So, i have cresselia, zapdos, moltres and articuno roaming(Platinum) and i wanted to know my starting frame. From Everstone's guide i'm supposing it's 23, but please correct me if i am wrong.
I'm currently just trying to test the RNG, not going for some specefic poke, and i'm trying to hit frame 91, going for 31/31/31/x/31/31
So, if i start with 23, 91-23=68, meaning i need to do 34 journal flips. I do them, but i can't seem to get it...
If someone could please tell me if i'm thinking right and if my starting frame is 23?

Thanks a lot in advance :)

Each roamer advances the frame by one, so the actual starting frame would be 4.check if the ivs you got match the one's from frame 73.
