E3 2013 | RETR-oh no....

Actually, 400$ was the price of the Premium Xbox 360, while the PS3 was 500$ for the cheapo one, and 600$ for the real one. 400$ isnt the best, but its better than what Microsoft is peddling lol.

After reviewing this thread i've come to several conclusions:
The first is all the people here claiming that the war is already over. As if, A they came from the future and B the consoles are out for sale right now. It isn't over and Sony has far from won. The PS4 has one thing going for it. The used games crap. And even that isn't a huge advantage considering only a certain group of people care. Gamers ages 16~30. Anything younger than that and their parents buy them their games. Older than that and they have money to blow. It just so happens that most of us here are in that age range. Matter of fact it won't make a difference when you also consider the PS4 has shit games.
KH3 is just another mediocre jrpg that will take 7 years to come out. It's fanbase are mostly sony lovers anyways, so even if its an exclusive it won't make much of a difference. Ditto FF. another old and overrated mediocre jrpg. There are some other good games, but they are for sony fans anyways.
Sony hasn't won anything. The fact that Microsoft isn't trying to appease its haters doesn't mean it lost.

Nobody missed that. At all. Good attempt at shitting on everyone's excitement but I don't think even you can snuff that out today.

Lol. I'm not and never have been a fan of xbox. I'm just saying that you should be hype for that other FF game instead of KH3 which apparently is just now being made despite the 2nd coming out a decade prior.
And thank god we know longer have to hear "Where's KH3?"

Hey I know it's tough but we have more reasons than just those for xbone death. First it's $100 less right from the get go. Second of all xbox live was always this weird thing for me where I would never use it fully and feel ripped off for not taking full advantage of it. I have a Wii-u and won't be buying a PS4 until a while but when I do it will probably be for third party games, also I can no longer play FPS games on consoles since I can't stand the controls, so CoD, Watchdogs (maybe), Killzone, Halo are not games I'm interested in unless they are on PC. Sony seems to be smart with third party, small things like hour exclusive content add up. While the controller is far from revolutionary at least it adds that little touchpad/share button, I don't see why they didn't just keep 360 controller.
The online hardcore may be a minority but are also ones who can buy hundreds of dollars of games and be early adopters. Microsoft does not have many of them right now.

Agreeing with Krom. ^ So this is more of a reply to Outlaw.
We had no previous knowledge of the game. It was never announced that it was in development, so the announcement was unexpected by many. Sure, we've all been waiting for it, and yes, we are aware it's not going to come out for a while, but at least we have confirmation that the the game exists and is now in development. And there is a huge market for Kingdom Hearts. It's not your niche JRPG that appeals to a specific audience such as the Tales series. This is a game people have been waiting for years for. Many played 1 and 2 during the PS2 era and have been patiently waiting for the "final" installment, and we are finally getting it.
And most of us are also excited for FFXV, aka Versus. But Kingdom Hearts has that nostalgia factor that a new FF can't deliver, so yeah.

I can only help but imagine some sort of hidden intrigue going on here where Microsoft plays the part of Ned Stark and Sony plays the part of Littlefinger.

I predict a TIMED xbox one exclusive, but that's just me. I'm still really excited for it though. I knew it was coming via various leaks and all, but it was still an awesome reveal. :)

Well at the time of the PS2 the Xbox was a newbie with no credentials and the Nintendo was in a deep slump while the PS2 just basically became gaming heaven. You can't repeat that same scenarios today, but still pretty impressive for PS4.
But yeah you can't beat dedicated game servers for FPS games, Microsoft knows their gun crazed fans, they will survive this generation...barely.
