And yet Mawile got a mega evolution instead of an actual one

Meanwhile, Sylveon is both a special case and the only actual old-pokemon evolution we've seen this generation.
But besides gen 1, eeveelutions are introduced in twos with one type weak against the other

There will be a distribution on Sep 15 and it will likely contain one of Lucario said:
Sableye is Mawile's Gen 3 counterpart

Is there any particular reason that Dedenne being a pikaclone is setting everyone off now and not, you know, the past 4 pika clones

is it seriously just the fact that the sugimori art has it in raichu colors] It probably is. Also, what if it was a reverse-branch evolution for Raichu? Instead of one pokemon having two evolution paths, two pokemon have one ultimate stage.

Does anyone reckon we will be getting another Eeveelution for dragon, which fairy is super effective against, or poison, which is super effective against Fairy? Also since Mawile is getting a Mega Evolution, I think Sableye will too. I'm glad poison is super effective against fairy because now there will be more fairy types to stop dragons therefore a load of poison types will come in handy in OU. Also it needed a boost because it was only good against Grass, but there are better ways to deal with grass.

And @DeathIncarnate501 I really don't think so, it is just another pika clone but that is a neat idea and could be a cool idea for future pokemon

Nobody is more glad for the greater usability of the Poison-type than I am, as that's my favorite type. And though I can't say whether we'll get another Eeveelution, historically, the even-numbered generations have been known to produce a pair of Eeveelutions, each pair having one that has the type advantage over the other. Obviously, I'm hoping we get a Poison Eeveelution to go with Sylveon, but we can't be sure just yet.

I'm glad GF gave Poison type pokés a boost, noone uses offensive Poison type attacks in the current metagame because there are ways of dealing damage to Grass types that grant better coverage.

I don't think knock off/embargo is going to work against megastones.

Once your pokemon has already mega-evolved, removing the stone probably won't cause it to return to its previous form. Also I get the feeling that Embargo isn't going to block them from being used to M-volve.

well knockoff might work, but you'd have to use it before the Pokemon mega-evolves. And I can see a lot of players just using it the first turn they can.
Now the question is...does mega-evolving take priority in a turn? For example...if your pokemon is slower than your opponent, do you mega-evolve at the start of the turn before either pokemon gets to attack, or does your opponent attack first and then your pokemon mega-evolves?
I was thinking this same way. I saw them more like a Griseous Orb, which you can't knock off and force a form change (of in this case, prevent it from happening at all).

(Google Translate...whoo...)

This is more of a critical hit/critical capture type deal which I feel is unrelated to PokeAmie, for the player didn't at any point play with Helioptile in PokeAmie. However, if PokeAmie does increase crit likelihood, then it may as well increase this "critical endure" likelihood.

I also agree with @Jimmyftw at the top of the page.

Shiny Froakie. Maybe we'll see Chespin, Helioptile, and Mewtwo2 at PAX.

Uh yeah you can. You can edit the save directly now if you do a digital download or use a save backup.
Nintendo can send patches through firmware updates that stop certain flashcarts from being usable, kinda like they already have been doing. Besides, being able to hack the 3ds does not equal extracting data from the actual games.

No. Not likely. They usually introduce them in pairs and they've not mentioned anything about it thus far, even though the release date is fast approaching

It's pretty easy to get data off a 3DS without hacking anything. With games being downloaded digitally now with the Wi-Fi store we don't even really need flash carts anymore. While things like Rom Hacks are very far down the road, Fire Emblem has taught us that save file manipulation on 3DS is easier than it's ever been.

Now making legal things that work on Wi-Fi is unknown at the moment since we don't know anything about increased security or anything like that yet. Gen 5 was extremely lax with letting obviously faked stuff online so I personally think they'll step up their detection a bit but who knows.

Seems more likely that the images from January were actually leaks than it does for pictures of different people holding different 3DS' to be faked.
No? What are the chances that a lay beta tester come in contact with a shiny fennekin? And why would they post in on freaking deviantart? A public art site where everyone can see it and risk being exposed.

Why are you replying to yourself?

There are hundreds if not thousands of people playing these demos across 4(?) conventions. It would be surprising if nobody saw a shiny.

I'm sure by the end of this demo business we'll have at least 4 fake shinys flying around.
Actually, make that (total number of supposed shinys)-1. I'm a little skeptical as to whether shinys are even encountered in the demo. It seems to me though that 1 or 2 legit shinys were seen, and some people jumped on the bandwagon.

Just saying one leak is more likely than several difficult yet perfect looking photoshops from several different sources. Just being logical.
