On topic: The music updates rock. Pretty much everything except yoshi and kid icarus so far have been awesome.

I don't know why you guys hate Kid Icarus so much. The Grim Reaper part is stupid, but the rest is good. Download it in Virtual Console, it's a good game.
The Metroid one was a bit forced, it should stay like the original or the one played in Metroid Prime. Zelda doens't need comments, Yoshi music kinda suck and Star Fox is good too.

I do. I remember it from Link's Quest For Ass 2, but that's an entirely different topic altogether.
As far as music updates are concerned, I love them to quite a bit. Going to throw in my own two cents about the songs:
1. Zelda (epic beyond words)
2. Star Fox (Pretty epic as well. The only complaint here is that it's not the Star Wolf theme)
3. Kid Icarus (I dunno why people hate this so much. I can't help but laugh because every time I hear this, it reminds me of Cutman tossing 8-bit Link up the ledges and 16-bit Link getting bit in the nuts by the snake....oh wait, Link's Quest For Ass 2...I told myself I wouldn't go on a tangent about this, didn't I?)
4. Metroid (I thought it was pretty neat, but I simply liked the other 3 better)
5. Yoshi (I'm going to hate that singing no matter how many times they remix the song)
At the very least, I'm going to try my hardest to get the top 3 songs on my iPod once the game comes out.

We're only going by the music updates that are on the site. Anyway, I don't hate the Kid Icarus song. I just never played the original game so it doesn't do anything for me. Although I've known about the series for a while, my NES was stolen and then my second NES never worked. Not much chances I got!
Nowadays I really don't feel like playing NES games. They feel too primitive for the most part =/ SNES games on the other hand are still awesome for me.

Complete and utter fail. Right beside "You must recover!" in terms of suckage, it's basically describing Link's Hookshot and Samus' Grapple beam recovery. Completely useless.

It's still more or less the same thing. Link and Samus had incredible options when recovering because of their recovery grabs, so at the very least it's good to know that Zero Suit Samus can do it as well.
Hm, the fact that it's her upB is interesting. I think whoever said that Ivysaur's vines would be its upB recovery was right. I'm not sure how well that's gonna work out, tbh. I mean, the reason the grapple was good was because you could actually recover after using it. This shows it going pretty high, which is good... it's not just a stick-straight-out-grab-the-stage thing, so if there's invincibility frames, I think this might end up being one of the better recoveries.

I'm with DM here, what person over the age of 10 would want to collect these stupid stickers over trophies? Why would I waste my time putting stickers on something in the game when I can be using it on actually playing the game.

Its suprising how mad you guys get over such trivial things in games. I for one couldn't care less about the stickers, and a good reason as to why they're in the game is for the SD card capabilities, methinks... So really its more for the nuts who wanna print whatever their imaginary minds shall create. On the subject of Tether recovery, I think this is great. It lets us know a good deal about various characters and those to come, meaning that there will most likely be other who use similar techniques, like Ivysaur. This also lets us get a good look at Zero Samus's Up+B.
What person over 10 would CARE about collecting trophies over stickers? Hell if I care. They're in there and I'll unlock most of them without really trying.

OK besides that statement likely being bullshit in general, it's pretty retarded because you went on to say that they would likely buy, and presumably enjoy, the game either way. Oh wow, a bunch of adults don't like a single, relatively insignificant portion of a game, but bought the game, played, and enjoyed it anyway? what ever will we do sweet Jesus save us all
... The sticker books, as well as the people and stories, are all not real. What, you want an animated trophy case instead? And a couple of paragraphs about a character you likely never cared about, that you could look up on wikipedia? Um ok whatever floats your boat, but to me it really, really doesn't make a difference.

as for the most recent update, the most interesting part had to be the part where he said that multiple characters would get similar moves. I'm not sure whether or not that just meant Samus and Link or not, but whatever. I'm also wondering if that's just her normal recovery move or if it's a "secondary" recovery move like Samus or Link's. Besides that it was a pretty lame update though, not much of interest.
DM wasn't trying to intimidate you. He's a moderator and thus visits the thread to moderate it, amongst other things. Somebody's gotta do it.
Stickers are definately a meh update to me though. I always LOVED the trophies, but stickers aren't looking to even be in their league. It's obviously not gonna make the game any worse but I'd rather they spent that time and effort on something that excites me more. Still, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised...

I have hated this thread from day one, don't give yourself too much credit. All this thread does is rehash every single annoying-as-shit rumor and speculation about what the game will have. "OMG theyd BETTER have lucario and sonic SRSLY!" And people admit to basically F5ing the page until it updates at midnight just to see? That strikes me as kinda pathetic. This isn't a webcomic, this is a video game. All these updates, like I said before, are hyping the game up WAYYY ahead of time, but it is quite a genius marketing maneuver.
I decided after this ridiculous arguments about STICKERS that I will no longer check that update page, because I don't care enough to. I don't need to know every single move that so-and-so will have before the game comes out, nor do I have to know every single item to expect. It's like playing the game little by little until it actually comes out, and I would like to be a LITTLE surprised when playing it for the first time.
I'm losing track of my thoughts, but in conclusion the only reason I've left this thread open is because I like Sonuis.
