Ah, I see. Though still they hired a celebrity (is she doing anything as of recently?) to just host a party of typical Pokemon merchandise? Why? Because it was decided to release them during the 20th Anniversary? Like if it wasn't the 20th Anniversary these items would just be put into the Pokemon Store without much of a hoot or holler?
It sounds like the Pokemon Company is throwing around money for no reason. A bland Super Bowl commerical, this lavished party for just normal Pokemon merch. How about doing stuff that's actually interesting. Like, I don't know, how about expanding on the idea you had with Splatoon's Gen I splatfest but go to say TV competition shows and have them to a Pokemon theme. Have one of the cooking shows have a Pokemon-themed challenge (like Cake Wars who often have to make themed cakes), speaking of fashion maybe have Project Runway have a Pokemon-themed challenge. Sponsor a dog show or cat show, or maybe do something with zoos or museums. I'm sure there's a ton of game stuff you can do like add Pokemon stuff to Mario Kart 8 or Animal Crossing (I think you can get DLC in Animal Crossing) or add more Pokemon stuff in Smah (like Pokeball Pokemon or bring back Pichu as a fighter, or maybe do the Ice Climber-like Plusle & Minun idea you tossed out for Brawl (and then rework the code to bring back the Ice Climbers)). Something that doesn't seem you're wasting money just cause you can.
Hmm, and thinking about, we have the Anistar City which has the Sundial and there's a Hex Maniac who mentions there's such things as a Moondial. Now originally when it was brought up by someone before (I think it was in the Conspiracy & Mysteries thread) I tossed out the idea of them mentioning it as just a "Fun Fact"... but maybe there is more to it? Maybe there is a moondial to Anistar's Sundial?
