Gen VII: Pokemon Sun and Moon Discussion MKII

Honestly they need to buff these Pokemon that are getting Alolan Forms. Even if they redistribute the stats, Marowak has only 425 to work with. Persian with 440, Sandslash with 450, Ninetales with 505 and Exeggutor with 520 (Though the last 2 aren't too bad, redistribution should be fine with them) to keep up with the Power Creep. Otherwise they aren't gonna change them too much from a competitive standpoint.

Mega Sableye has a BST of 480 yet it's perfectly competent, at least on singles. If done right, BST will not matter much.

More to do with an amazing typing giving Sableye only one weakness (disregarding Scrappy) with a really good ability. It hasn't been the same for much with the Alola Pokemon, and from what it seems it's just BST adjustments and not changes and a lot of these Pokemon don't have the best typing.

As a small side-note, it'd be cool and I freaking hope they make an Alolan Raichu and attack is nerfed in replace of Special Attack. I'm freaking tired of my boy getting shafted because of Pikachu's popularity, hell it's dex entry can be "After years of it's younger brother getting all the loved, Raichu moved to the mountains and started adapting on special powers." It's a good start.

If you'd actually want to give Raichu a niche, you'd give it the attack stat to abuse Volt Tackle effectively and a few physical coverage moves to go along with that. Special Electric-types are a dime a dozen.

I guess, just something man.

I will say, if next month is revealing the evolution of Rockruff, would it basically disprove the 4 theory? Did it specifically say next month we're revealing THE or AN evolution? Grammar is of utmost importance.

According to Serebii
It also confirms that next month's issue will contain a poster featuring Rockruff's "Secret Evolution".

I'd be fine with un-boosted stats, actually. Not every Pokémon has to compete in OU. There are plenty of Pokémon out there worse than Marowak and Sandslash already, so even without a boost they still wouldn't be the most useless 'mons around. As long as they do a decent job in-game, they're good enough in my eyes. There are some eight hundred Pokémon in the games, and no matter their power level, only a small percentage will see consistent use in higher tiers of play. Not every Pokémon can be among the best, some Pokémon have to be the worst, and between the two there has to be, by necessity, a large pool of Pokémon that are comparatively average. As long as the Alolan Forms are above a certain power treshold, they should do fine.

Okay, now we're talking! I love the little sea cucumber, and it's probably my favorite of the leaked bunch.

Now, time to play the game of "what type is Namakobushi". I think it'll be Water/Poison or something like that, but who knows.

Fighting? It spits a fist at its opponents.

If anyone is wondering about the bunny tail on the sea cucumber, there exists a group of them known as sea bunnies. It's another pun, as you would expect from this franchise.

Never mind; sea bunnies are actually slugs.

So since this apparently 'proves' the leak, is discussion on said leak then allowed here? Just curious; I'm trying to avoid the leaks completely myself.

Does it really prove? Didn't the leak say we were creating the gyms? Plus it said the stones activated form changes like Ash Greninja when it doesn't seem to be the case
I'm more or less just parroting what other people said on the subject. I'm trying to avoid leaks entirely so I haven't actually seen anything of the leaks other than the final starter evolutions.
Though honestly, it's a question I kinda want to ask generally - regardless of context, if a set of leaks were proven true, would discussion be allowed here?

Most leaks get things wrong, but there's no denying it has gotten a lot of things right, or at least close enough.

True, but I know people are saying this new pokemon confirms it, but to be fair, this is sea slug, NOT a sea Anemone. They are different creatures

If a leak is proven true, like the starter evos, then I would assume it would be allowed to be talked about here

Sea cucumber is very cute and a bit disturbing ("I'm gonna beat you in the head with me guts!"), though I applaud GF for willing to take it there. Looks a bit cutesy to be single stage, I wonder if it evolves?

Will all these Gen 1 alolan forms showing up, I am curious if there was a story where smth happened in Kanto which made the pokemons travel to a different island for survival?

Plot twist: Alola is near the Sevii Islands archipelago.

But really it's the same reason why we got comparatively more gen 1 megas: fan service + GF thinks those mons need a boost/refresh the most. I'm hoping we get Alolan forms from other gens too.

So when I saw this new pokemon. this came to mind

Go team sea slug
Osaka! Don't throw Sea Cucumbers at people!

And there's What appears to be some stuff you can find on the first island: most of what has been shown so far. Not unexpected tbh, since I think most of the earlier reveals for XY was early route stuff.

Can sea cucumbers do this (sans fist, obviously) in real life? I know starfish at least can expel their stomachs to eat things, but I've never heard of sea cucumbers doing anything similar.

Not digging the design since it's a bit too simple, but punching your opponents with your stomach is hilarious. It being a Water-type seems obvious, and maybe it's part Fighting?

Does this answer your question?

Edit: The intestines are actually toxic!

AHAHAHA THEY MADE A POKEMON WHO ATTACKS OUT OF ITS ANUS!

WHY AM I SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS?

*pushes face into table

ok
ok
um

I really don't know how I feel about this whole generation's pokemon. The designs are hilarious all over the place. Between super neck, sand castle, the literal bus, and anus face I think a good deal many laughs shall be had by children discovering these mons for the first time.

The reason all the alola forms are of kanto 'mons is because it is actually Kanto 1000000 years in the future.
So...this is Pokémon: The Wind Waker?

This.

O.o
Those are oddly cute.

I have nothing to add here. Just thought this was a funny post.
