Actually, if they move first, you use Destiny Bond second, and then they KO you before you get to attack again, they will get taken down with you.

^If it doesn't have ThunderPunch or Stone Edge, then Mantine does a great job of countering it.

If moves that deal recoil damage to the user are used against a substitute, how much recoil damage does the user take? I asked this because on shoddy every time I used brave bird against breloom's sub, crobat receives 25% recoil damage, whereas when I use brave bird against blissey, blissey receives 50% damage while crobat receives ~30% from the recoil. This is only 5% more damage than attacking breloom's sub. I thought the recoil damage is 1/3 of the damage deal. If the sub is only 25% of breloom's health, crobat should only receive 1/3 of that 25%, right? And since crobat has a decent amount of HP, 1/3 of 1/4 of breloom's health shouldn't be equal to 25% of crobat's.

WTF.

I have a male Dragonite with Dragon dance in daycare with female Gible. WHERE IS MY EGG MOVE ON THE BABIES!!? Am I missing an intermediate?

Hey, How much damage does an Ice Shard do to OU Dragons etc on a Weavile, i ask simply because of Weaviles lame defences, i dont really want it taking any hits, Weavile currently has 339 attack... Im contemplating on whether to use Life Orb on Weavile, the extra damage is inviting.

Thanks

Does anyone know how to calculate the amount of HP sapped from Leech Seed? I have heard the lower your HP, the higher the amount that is drained from the opponent, much like Pain Split.

Facade is a normal attack, so it shouldn't hit ghosts right?

Yesterday on PBR, I switched my Gengar into a Facade and it hit me for the KO. Is there some way that Facade bypasses the type immunity? Or was that an oversight in the PBR programming?

Kanghaskhan and Miltank both have the ability Scrappy, which allows them to hit ghost type with Normal/Fighting attacks. And I'm willing to bet this was a Kanghaskhan.

If one pokemon uses a power item, and another poke is on experience share, does the experience share'd poke get the full amount of EVs, including the bonus from the power item?

I'm asking again 'cause I only got an "I think so," which isn't enough for me to actually try this.

The Pokemon with EXP Share only gets the normal amount of EVs, it doesn't gain the extra EVs that the Pokemon holding a power item will get.

Life Orb inserts a variable of 1.3 into the item part of Mod2 calculation.
Mod2 is applied just before random number calculation - the 30% boost is applied after most of the calculation.

You shouldn't have asked that question unless you wanted baffling with stats!

edit: have a look at X-Act's Damage Formula for more info.

edit2: My damagecalc can work out damage before and after life orb (see sig)

i new here, so i don't really understand the damage calculator that well.

so... its near the end of the calculation after things like attack power and defenses are factored in?
