I don't think it's even the pokedex grind, its...pokeballs. No one is using pokeballs to grind.I'll just throw it into my list of reasoning for "GF really thinks players are too stupid to actually play their game"
....nah, realistically, it's just to speed up any pokedex grind, even though most people who do pokedex grind will be spamming ultraballs anyway.
In Let's Go you can't actually run out either, there's NPCs which will gift you a handful if you run outWell, in Let's Go you do start with 50 and their Mart cost in halved...
People talk to NPCs?In Let's Go you can't actually run out either, there's NPCs which will gift you a handful if you run out
Um... Yes? Why wouldn’t people talk to NPCs?People talk to NPCs?
Because they're the kind of person who complains to the manager that they didn't know they needed a receipt to make a return, even though there are giant signs everywhere that say "YOU MUST HAVE A RECEIPT TO MAKE A RETURN".Um... Yes? Why wouldn’t people talk to NPCs?
Probably to not accidentally run into trainer battles.Um... Yes? Why wouldn’t people talk to NPCs?
Still though, talking to people can give you useful items or some additional lore to the game.Probably to not accidentally run into trainer battles.
That was my reasoning when I was younger. Now it's because it takes a little too much time to talk to everyone.
I lied, I forgot there were NPCs that give out free Poke Balls in Let's Go.Um... Yes? Why wouldn’t people talk to NPCs?
I disagree. NPCs can give you a lot info on characters, towns, lore, politics etc. Maybe that info is not relevant to gameplay, but it’s nice to learn more about the world, and there is chance they might give you something useful for your trip. So I make an effort to talk to most NPCs.I lied, I forgot there were NPCs that give out free Poke Balls in Let's Go.
But really, most NPCs just kinda ramble on about stuff that's unimportant (another reason to not have voice acting). If there are people who give out items, I just tend to go back to them after seeing that info elsewhere.
Because, maybe, the ability works as a Screen Cleaner for stats + Clear Body? That would be useful, especially on something defensive. How, outside of wacky baton pass chains, do you intend to enter the field with lowered stats? The ability would virtually never do anything if it self-targeted in singles.
If it hazed the opponent, well then that would be a cool alternative to unaware.
Eeeeh, I wouldn't read too much into that. It's common practice.SoI want to point out something interesting: If we're getting the whole game+DLC bundle packs now, is Sword and Shield finished? No more Expansions? If so....what next? Main series games for the gen being finished within the year wasnt in my bingo cards. No tangible words on remakes, way too soon for a new gen...What can we expect in 2021?
Suddenly getting Pal Park flashbacks here. If it’s just a delay I’m willing to go through with it but wow this is petty. In regards to the GO-HOME compatibility, the japanese website seems to have clarified that there is some sort of "delay" when doing a transfer, but if you use PokéCoins, it's done instantly.
Going to clarify something: it's not a delay, but you do have to wait for a period of time between transfers, though that could be reduced by using Poke Coins. However, there's no mention of how many Pokemon you can transfer at once, how long the waiting period is, and what the rate of Coins : time is.In regards to the GO-HOME compatibility, the japanese website seems to have clarified that there is some sort of "delay" when doing a transfer, but if you use PokéCoins, it's done instantly.
This is pretty much how that article I used as a source mentions DLC works,Multiple-year, live service games release yearly bundles with all available content to lower the price entry barriers for newcomers: it's one thing for consolidated players to pay partial content separately (you pay the base game 60USD, than additional 30, but in different moments so mentally you don't give the total sum the same value since you have already used the base product - it's a psychological thing), but imagine having a 90USD entry price on shelves.
This utter fucking bullcrap don't stand for it people don't let others convince you that you have to take thisIn regards to the GO-HOME compatibility, the japanese website seems to have clarified that there is some sort of "delay" when doing a transfer, but if you use PokéCoins, it's done instantly.
Yes. I have researched a bit about how Go works since yesterday and I absolutely have to back you up. It's borderline predatory behavior. This is pretty much how that article I used as a source mentions DLC works,
You release DLC shortly after the game's first launch
You make sure the DLC is modular so as to not increase scope creep (you add new self contained campains, not things that alter gameplay)
You re-release the main game with the DLC at a discounted prize so to attrack new costumers
You release more DLC
repeat
This utter fucking bullcrap don't stand for it people don't let others convince you that you have to take this
go to you social media accounts and tell Niantic and the Pokemon Company that this is fucking bullshit
because it is
To be fair, Go is a mobile game. Pretty much all mobile gaming is predatory in a way or another.Yes. I have researched a bit about how Go works since yesterday and I absolutely have to back you up. It's borderline predatory behavior.
