In pearl Palkia won't respawn, that mechanic only was implemented for platinum and hgss.

Well, honestly I haven't really tried to use pikatimer so I can't really answer that. Emloop is in japanese, but it's really easy to use because you don't really need to read anything anyways. There is a simple one-time calibration you have to do for each different game cartridge you RNG abuse on. And like I said I don't know anything about pikatimer but with emloop when breeding it gets rid of the randomness of button mashing since you can simply choose a delay slightly higher than normal and not have to worry about how fast you're hitting the button, but just hitting A precisely when the timer runs out.
Haha well if you want to use pikatimer I won't be able to help you there. Emloop was the only thing around when RNG abuse started so that's what I learned it with. I'm actually going to be making a small guide for ID/SID abuse using emloop the in the next few days to help someone out. I could send you the PM too if you think you'd be interested in the info.
Oh, saw your edit on your other message. Hitting higher delays will give you lower frames. This is important for DPPt as it means a difference in some cases from flipping back and forth through journal pages 500+ times with a normal delay or <100 sometimes <20 with a high one. It also means you mess up your count a lot less. In HGSS it's not as important since there is a radio station that will advance 13-14 frames with every use, and you have a way to check what frame you are on with elm calls, but high delays are still is a must for people who do a lot of captures.
Haha of course. Honestly, it's not that bad I promise. As long as you stay away from the pokeradar (Beldum is probably the only one you'd have a reason to do now with the release of HGSS) you'll be just fine.
Haha let me tell you, breeding is much more complicated. When RNG abuse first started, all we had was breeding. It was difficult to get the hang of. Then they figured out captures, and everyone was like wow that seems hard, but the reality is if you already can breed capturing is cake. The only things that are remotely difficult are pokeradar (most difficult in my opinion), bug contest, safari zone (haven't tried it yet), wondercards, and of course ID/SID abuse.

Yep. That's why I generally have at least one roamer out always, as it's much quicker to verify your seed that way. -
