  • Haha good to know :P I guess that'll help me with my own prediction skills against opponents on the ladder.
    I currently don't have my White or White 2 as I sold my White to a friend and lend my White 2 to my cousin.

    Here is a set that i would recommend when using Gyrados

    Gyarados
    Adamant
    Ability = Intimidate/Moxie @Leftovers
    EVs : 88 HP / 248 Atk / 4 Def / 168 Spe

    ~ Substitute / Taunt
    ~ Dragon Dance
    ~ Waterfall
    ~ Bounce
    And dude, if your using Gyrados to your team, here are its assets and its needs

    -Gyrados (Offensive Sweeper/Bulky Dos)
    -Blisssey/Celebi (Special Wall)
    -Skarmory (Physical Wall)
    -Jolteon (Special Sweeper w/ Choice Specs)
    -Salamence/Garchomp (Choice Scarf/ Revenge Killer)
    -Starmie (Rapid Spinner/ Special Sweeper)

    Rapid Spin is exceptional for this team in order to get rid of entry hazards. Starmie is a perfect canidate to this situation, and packs a neat coverage and obtaining the BoltBeam combo, dealing with Dragon Types like Salamence, Hydreigon, etc. Gyrados appreciates spinners of getting rid of hazards because of his weakness to stealth rocks and wont last long if it is in the battle field. He pairs well with electric types by the likes of Rotom-W or Jolteon. He also pairs coverage with Blissey & Skarmory for nice resistances, creating the infamous SkarmBliss combo. Skarmory can many hits as possible, and can set up his own entry hazards as well, supporting Gyrados. Blissey is another thing, tanking alot of special hits and it pairs well with Skarmory and Gyrados. Garchomp is your primary revenge killer, since its faster and its able to outpace Choice Scarf salamence and kill it off, otherwise, you lose. Overall, Gyrados makes a better canidate with these guys around.
    Well I'd love to help in any way I can. If you build a team around Gyarados, I can take a look at it for you and see how to improve it. For starters, I know Gyarados really appreciates rain, so Politoed is a great partner for it. And Jolteon is also good since it can take the Electric attacks aimed at it but isn't weak to Rocks like Thundurus-T. Just so you know, though, you can also post any team you build in the Art of Team Building Thread in the group.
