    ID/SID abuse is non-C-Gear. Even on an emulator, you would not be able to do so until the new RNG Reporter comes out, which supports DSi anyways.

    And the 5th gen RNG help thread was locked because there were too many questions about ID/SID abuse. It was locked stating that even asking about it anywhere would get you an infraction. I was one of the people who suggested that happen.
    C-Gear isn't that bad. Sprocket does C-Gear all the time without an AR. All of my stuff is C-Gear on DS, aside from the shinies.

    ID/SID abuse is not necessary, but it does take a lot of time off. And DSi will be supported in the new RNG Reporter. The reason why you can't do non-C-gear is that the English versions are not supported in the RNG Reporter.

    And no$gba has around 10 times more problems than DeSmuME.
    As for Entralink abuse, ToastPlusOne's Eon Timer supports Entralink mode. Just check off the High-Link box on it. And it's basically just like C-Gear abuse except that when you start your game and it asks you to turn on your C-Gear you say "yes" and sit at the menu right before entering Entralink, pressing A at the end of your second timer.

    Frame advancements are odd. Instead of the usual target frame - 3, it's either target frame - 10 or target frame - 23. I haven't quite figured out what determines which frame advancements. My math might be a little off, but basically you want to be either 8 or 21 frames before your target, and the C-Gear advances the RNG by 2 when you turn it on (hence the normal starting frame of 3).
    Don't bother doing emulator abuse unless you have the patience to do shinies. It's easy enough on DS as is. The MAC for Desmume is 00-09-BF-12-34-56. That's all you need. The DS system is only to help you find your DS' parameters for non-C-gear. You can't do non-C-Gear with Entralink, nor can you do non-C-Gear on the English/EU versions.

    Entralink is entered by turning on the C-Gear and clicking on the rightmost option on the C-Gear (I believe it says WiFi). From there there'll be an option to enter Entralink. You can only enter it like right outside of a Pokecenter.

    Take your .sav and load it into Pokegen. Then select the Pokemon you want to save as a .pkm file by right-clicking on it. Then, clikc file and save Pokemon as tab.
    Those aré the parameters you need to fill about your ds system and check the 5th gen thread pages for more info. because right now im not familiarize with nonCgear seeds :)

    that's exactly why people rng for id/sid because sometimes the PID frames are high and it takes a lot of time, and also is the only way to rng for roamers PID too
    That doesn't matter, the parameters change from DS to DS anyway so it's different for everyone
    Yes you will need a timer to hit the time that the RNG reporter tells you and you need to practice with timers or by RNGing something that involves a timer that can help you abuse your ID/SID later
