  • Emulator or not, I think egg abuses don't take long like Method 1 abuses since shininess is abused separate from IVs. And no, it's not available for trade. It's really not useful outside of 3rd gen anyway.

    Keep in mind that you need the Real Time Clock enabled on RS, though, and that it takes about a minute (unless you change the time) for the initial seed to change on there.

    It's pretty simple; just start up the game (on FRLG you have to hit Continue) and check your seed; then type it into RNG Reporter and see if your target's anywhere nearby (I usually search the first 50 million frames.)
    This was an egg abuse. And besides, you would not want to attempt a spread that takes months to reach on a cart.

    RSFRLG is still a lot of waiting; just more of it is spent soft-resetting for a good seed. It is possible to manipulate seeds in RS with your computer clock but I haven't done it; in FRLG it's random.

    You don't have to do stationary pokemon first, but if you want to you can. I started out with breeding. :P
