Well....... is there a possbility that I can do it without the AR device since my AR device hasn't been updated to work on my 5th gen. games yet?

Okay, I think I would like to start continuing to learn how to RNG abuse on the 5th gen. since the RNG reporter 9 is now available. But before I do, Are there any other things or stuff that I need to get before I do?

If you have 6 Pokémon in your party, yes. But I wouldn't recommend that. Makes it harder to check IVs after catching

You have to download the new firmware, drag it to the top of the code manager program with the AR connected, and click your way through the pop ups. Then click Commit Changes, and it should work.
