  • Nice job with the Scyther! When I get my netbook back tommorrow I'm going to try and RNG too.
Well, is there one you seem to hit more often then your calibrated one? My calibrated was 598, but I always hit 602, so I switched, now I can hit it almost every time.
Hey boss, think you could send a PM to most of the new members telling them to vote and send me their resumes because there are still 6 or so resumes that I'm lacking and I think a lot of people are just joining and not doing anything which is what we want to avoid. If there are any errors sorry I'm on my iPod.
Getting shinies is explained in the videos. Search for shiny spreads for your game. As far as Lugia is concerned, make it faint, beat the game, and come back to it for RNGing later. It will be respawned and ready for RNGing.
Sorry for the late reply. You just click Seed to Time, HGSS, and which roamers are out. Then click Generate and it will give you a list of seeds that you can go for. Any of them work just as well as the next. When you pick one you want, highlight it and click Generate again. Also, put 99 in the +- box for delays and 9 in the +- box for seconds. This will help you find the delays that you end up hitting.
Ok, I plugged the old seed that I got into RNG Reporter.
It's 650808c9 and has the correct spread on frame 5. The delay is kind of ugly, at 2239, but it's doable.
Plug that seed into RNG Reporter and click "Seed to Time." From there, click HGSS and click the boxes of any roamers you have. Then click Generate, and pick a date and time that seems fine to you. Click Generate again, and you will be ready to start.
It's hard to completely verify, but you have to trust yourself/hope you did it right.
I ran the search again and it gave me different results...Now it's saying there's no spread with a frame of 5. But I know there is, because that's the Suicune I have right now...
I'll try to figure this out, it just doesn't make sense.
Ok, that was the second result I got. Here are both of them. They will both yield the exact same Suicune.
    650808c9 5 6bb9076 TIMID ability 0 31/23/31/30/31/31 ELECTRIC 70
    131106ef 786 5d3c7d7 TIMID ability 1 31/23/31/30/31/31 ELECTRIC 70

Now, after the seed, there's a number. 5 for the top, 786 for the bottom. This is the frame number. If you pick the top spread, when you hit your seed, you have to call Elm 4 times, then talk to Suicune. If you choose the bottom spread, you have to hit the seed then call Elm 785 times. Not too fun...
So take the seed from the top spread and put it in the Box of RNG Reporter that says Seed Hex. Click Seed to Time, and pick the date you want to work with. Then you'll be able to start.
Is it just Timid HP Electric? I have a file that should be the same as yours. It has 2 results in it, and I used this one:
    650808c9 5 6bb9076 TIMID ability 0 31/23/31/30/31/31 ELECTRIC 70
Ah, there's your problem. If you're going for a shiny, then you'll have to lower your standards considerably.
When I got shiny Giratina and shiny Latias in my SS game, I searched for the correct nature, but lowered the IVs to 25+/0+/25+/25+/25+/31.
If you're going for a shiny, the IVs won't be as good, and you will most likely have to hit a pretty difficult delay. I would leave it non-shiny if I were you, since it's your first time.
Well, if you're going for Timid, I already have a list of flawless Timid HP Electric spreads saved. If you're going for some other nature:
    Put in "n"
Enter 30 for HP, 0 for Attack, and 30 for all the other stats as well. Since you're not searching for exact IVs, it will search 30 and up, 0 and up, etc.
Enter 500 for minimum delay and 3000 for maximum delay.
    Your search will then start.
The results will be created in 2 seperate files in the same folder that you saved PokeRNG in.
Yeah, it works just fine. I've used it at least ten times, and I do all my RNG stuff on my SoulSilver.
