I know attack doesn't matter. I am using a syncher, and a super rod. But I am using the spreadsheets on Smogon (I can't use PokeRNG, I am on a Mac. All I can use is RNG Reporter and the spreadsheets I find)
For that Staryu CP, are you adamant on a quint-flawless spread? The only one I found in the spreadsheets doesn't match up with the encounter slots. Unless there is a way to mainpulate encounter slots.
I can look for very close to quint-flawless, and I will look for the best spread possible to match the encounter slots. I found some good HP ones...

It was Regice with 20-25% HP. If it doesn't matter anymore, you shouldn't have brought it up :\. Anyway, still a GG :P.
If the Dpulse crit OHKO'd your poke then wouldn't it have at least 2HKOd? And are you positive that the first poke would have survived the first crit had it not been a crit?
