    so im building a team around these 3 mons (mostly chomp and eleki though) and I don't really know where to start for defensive checks. I need a weavile check, a lele check, a pult check, a rilla check, kart check, etc, and I have no idea where to start. Im thinking SpD corv and clef, but I honestly don't know what to do.

    Unless its Teleport, don't put a Clefable on an Offense, it's a huge momentum drain. Tornadus, Toxapex (Eject Button Pex), Lando-T, Slowbro, Mandibuzz are some of my favorite walls to put on Offense. To be honest though Specs Leki in general isn't really a set I'd run when HDB is so good on Hstack.

    I was thinking specs because with the grounds gone eleki can throw off massively powerful tbolts, but i'll just try both.
    I never thought of eject button pex, I'll try that.
    Right now I'm thinking double genie and then pex or colburpress slowbro

    Hey Pinka! I have been loving your teams although I only recently got into the forum and I have been wondering if you still see potential in alolachu. I know you made an alolachu team in the early days of dlc2 ou and I would probably draw pretty heavy inspiration from it although the metagame changed quite a bit. If you got any ideas or suggestions that would help a lot! :D

    hello! i was wondering if i could get some advice on my double defog Volcanion rain team. I got 1800s with it but I feel it can use some improvements, just not sure what. I am finding that Slowking is rly annoying and I cannot seem to break through the Slowking cores easily. Thanks if you do reply. :)

    Slowking certainly is an issue. I recommend Thundurus Therian over Landorus.

    Hi Pinkacross, I've built a Keldeo BO, and it's working ok, but I feel that Jirachi isn't a great fit for this team. It provides wish healing and stealth rocks, but it suffers from 4MSS (it wants u-turn). I'm considering replacing it for either heatran or ferrothorn, most likely ferrothorn. Any adivce on this would be helpful. Thanks!

    Thanks for your help! Also, I'm not sure about having 3 of my pokemon choiced, so should I do something about that?

    Choice items are very very good. If it works, it works. I've got 3 or 4 choiced mons on many of my teams. It's only an issue if the team is inconsistent and overly prediction reliant because of it.

    Thanks. Some people have told me that too many choice items are bad. I guess it just comes down to personal preference.

    Magnezone gets 2HKOd by Lele anyway, replacing it won't make the Lele issue much worse. As for top level viability standards, using Decidueye is already sort of a rough start

    Ok Pinka. After thinking a lot bout it myself and with friends, I decided... the team is good as it tbh. Against Pex I can taunt it with torn and it gets 2KHO'd by poltergeist/ grassy glide after rocks. I feel like vs Pex MU I should not give it free switches.

    Greetings Pinka! The teams you make are simply awesome... I enjoy thema lot, also you made rain super interesting...Would you please consider seeing a team that I built and say me whether to use a tran or a melm cuz bliss and CM clef just destroy the team...

    Thanks for the compliments. :) I like Melmetal here, but you've got to adjust your set. Running max HP isn't great for AV, check the smogon spread. Also, given your weakness to Ghost, a Specially Defensive Protect Leftovers Heatran with Heavy Slam could also take care of the Clefable isssue.

    I actually like Melmetal alot. it's defensive utility and para-flinch hax got me out of a few bad situations lol. But on the other hand, I've liked kartana's speed tier and coverage in other games. but on the flip side, i've liked the freedom of switching moves with melmetal, and haven't faced a banded weavile yet, but i faced a hdb weavile team wih the kartana version and it was manageable.

    Sounds good, keep up testing and see how it goes! I'd say this is definitely a 2000s level team either way

    Hi pinkacross, this is my first attempt at team building. Before this, I would use your RMTs. I feel that my team has a lot of holes in it. I'm trying to make a voltturn team, but it isn't really working out.

    Pick a fun new pokemon you like and try to build around that, is what I'd recommend. Say, Exploud or whatever you like.

    To be honest if you already have those 4 mons, I'd try to restructure. I think the optimal team for those 4 is already found.

    i mostly struggle with barraskewda and kingdra, wrong mons lol
    they outspeed everything and I don't really know how to beat them without changing a member of my team or really good prediction

    Yea basically prediction is the key. You have Volcanion, if that's not sufficient perhaps you can sneak in a Rillaboom somewhere...

    after multiple attempts at getting to the high ladder i dropped that team and decided to do it the old way (rain)
    and i have two questions for you:
    1.is rain viable atm? or is it gimmicky? i don't see it a lot imo

    update: after some games i changed seismitoad for specs modest kingdra (faster than kart and not that weak to grass and flip turn)
    tho i also wanted to used banded shifu/ LO crawdaunt

    If you do that you lose to Regieleki and all other strong Electric types, I wouldn't recommend that.

    Try to focus on the pokemon things like Rillaboom and Swampert bring in. Switch spam teams are very viable, but you need to be looking at how each pokemon flows into the others. Remove momentum drains and make sure you have good removal (Tornadus, for example).
    My friend, I really love your teams and hope that you'll continue to build them.

    That being said, I haven't seen an HO team from you as such (your teams are usually BO). What are your thoughts on HO in SS OU? Is it just a gimmick, or it could actually be good in high ladder?

    Also, I was building a DD Dragapult HO. Would you mind helping me? I'll DM the team paste if needed.

    Lele is quite scary as well. Team looks pretty solid but I'd personally go Slowking or Slowbro over Glowking.

    Hey Pinkacross, I've seen from your RMTs that you enjoy making teams based off of a Pokemon that is barely used and I would like you to help me improve this team :D Sand PsySpam Please let me know your thoughts. I've been using this team around the 1400s and its been pretty good.

    Honestly this team is not viable at a top level, AV Ttar isn't very good, you have almost no breaking power, and you have an Alolan Raichu without Tapu Koko. I'd recommend putting Tapu Koko over Tapu Lele and using Rising Voltage, this won't make the team top-level viable but it will improve it and utilize Alolachu better. GL! :)

    Yo Pinkacross, this team is a mono bug team for National Dex AG! Sadly I can't make it normal National Dex cause of Pheromosa, but this team has been working pretty nice so far. Bug buzz pierces through subsitute baton pass teams! You may not be familiar with AG Formats but what are your thoughts?

    The team defintely needs more Offense. You have the offensive capability of a stall or semistall without the bulk. Passivity is the main issue. An average balance can break your team, but your team cannot break an average balance. Try to fit in more offense (and Yawn Gastrodon helps it be less passive!)

    Thanks for the feed back, after a couple games I started losing to other balance teams as I couldn’t break them like you said.
    I decided to change toxic for yawn instead on gastrodon like you suggested and decided to change garchomp into a scarf set for more breaking power , speed control and a end game cleaner.

    You still may have issues breaking, you may need to replace Garchomp with another Choice Band or Specs breaker, but testing first is always a good idea.
