if you are sweet scenting in grass, you need to be 2 frames before your target in order to it the correct spread. unless walking 128 steps + taking one step into the grass ( = party pokemon # + 1 RNG advancement) puts you at 2 before your target, don't walk 128 steps and then into the grass :)
